Great Replacement for my Airport Extreme
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having made the decision to leave the Apple ecosystem, and the fact that Apple does not offer an app to control the Airport Extreme for an Android device. I liked the linking capabilities of the Google Wifi unit! I had needed to use any extender for the Apple product. So I was preparing myself for possibly needing to chain another unit to my original. Happy to report th st it was not needed. Installation was easy and seamless. Everything just worked the 1st time! Very happy with the purchase and even happier I didn't have to pay for the Apple name.

Best Wi-Fi Alternative to Cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our cable company WI-FI was running so slow that streaming programs was spotty at best, especially with our 2-story house. A booster did not work but Google Wi-fi was the answer. We purchased the 3-pack to cover all areas of the house. It worked perfectly. The ease of setup instructions had us up and running within a half hour. It covers our home and streaming is perfect. Best of all, we did not have a higher monthly bill to get Wi-fi from the cable company, which would have cost more in the long run. I highly recommend the Google Wi-fi system.

Ideal for Everyday Internet Use in the Home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've looked at several mesh routers as the wifi repeaters were a pain. My downstairs AP and upstairs AP were far enough but not too far I guess to have my devices connecting to which ever it wanted to and not necessarily the best connection. This was evident especially when I was moving room to room. Got annoyed with manually selecting APs and decided to look at the mesh technology. There are many out there but I think Google has the simplest setup. The app shows usage, internet speed, how many devices are connected. With the phones and tablets for the family, lights, printers, thermostats, televisions, Alexas, and even my sous vide cooker, I have on the average 30 devices on the AP. I can prioritize speed to specific devices and also monitor and control wifi access times for my kids devices which I think is a plus. I have purchased three of these and I have no slow spots in my home (perhaps a bit of an overkill for a 3,000sqft home but I would rather overkill and not have to wait for things to download, especially when I have 300mbps internet connection. This is not for those that want to geek out on router customization, google obviously had a clear target audience when they designed the system. It is ideal for the average home for everyday internet needs.

Really nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a dying Belkin router I picked up when we bought our Wii-U as it hated the router we had then. I had also picked up a Belkin Wi-Fi extender last Prime Day. It was not very good, it ran hot and seemed to reboot a lot. Looking around, I wanted something that would have coverage in the house. My wife works on the far side of the house from the router. While this was not a very cheap option, it just looked nicer than the other routers. Most of the others just look silly with all the antennas and stuff sticking out. These are nice and clean and unobtrusive looking. The fact I can control it from my phone is a bonus. Set up was really fast and easy. I did set up a guest network using the old routers name and password, so I did not have to reset any of the other devices in the house. To them, it looks like the old Belkin is still there. The only problem I have is that my Canon printer will not print from the guest network, even though it is allowed on it. Then again, the Canon was the only device I had to manually connect to the network, go figure. Yes, this is not cheap, but it does a fabulous job. It looks nice and I have not had any issues at all with it.

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Google Wifi whole home unit couple of months ago and it has been working great ever since. It was extremely easy to set up. For me this was the most important factor, aside from it actually working, obviously. Since buying this unit, I am able to get connection in my back yard and in the front yard, as well. As before those were dead spots. I am pretty sure that there are better ones out there with more techie features, but it you are a network novice like myself, this unit is an effective and reliable unit for my needs.

Noticeable Difference
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced Verizon FiOS router and everything just works better. Received fastest speeds ever when testing on speed test. Great coverage in areas FiOS router didn't reach. Able to stream YouTube 4k video without lag/buffering which always happened with FiOS router. General web surfing on my Chromebook Plus just works better. Smoother and faster loading of web pages. Also looks good/cool, but that's just my personal opinion.

Great Wifi mesh system.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.System is very easy to setup, but you NEED a smartphone or tablet to setup. PC will not work. Has excellent range, speed and reliability that is unmatched by ORBI or any other Mesh systems costing even more.. Full control, health check and parental controls via phone app works 100% from anywhere.

Easy Setup and Reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has to be the easiest set up for a router I have ever encountered. Directions were clear, easy to understand and follow, and setup went very smooth. The router has also solved my frustrating problem of reliable and fast connectivity throughout my house. i will stream movies on at least three different TV's and in the past, the tv's farthest from the wifi router were inconsistent at best in maintaining quality connectivity. Have had zero issues with connectivity since installing this Google system. Highly recommend.

Great for to get access to none wireless devices.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two of these Google Wi-Fi Routers. I use one as a router which by itself gave great coverage to a single story home and outdoors. It covered about 3,200sf of area indoor/outdoor. The second Google Wi-Fi router is setup as a Mesh Wi-Fi point and it is located in the garage. The purpose of the second router is to connect my cryptocurrency mining machine to the web wireless. Works great, after setting up the router i plugged in the mining machine, turned it on and after a few minutes it was connected to the web.

Super easy set up!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google WiFi system was super easy to set up. Plugged one unit into Fios router, phone app saw it immediately and stepped me through placing the the units. Even told me when one was too far away and to move it to improve the mesh. My condo has metal studs in the walls and slab concrete so getting reliable wifi even a couple rooms away has always been a struggle even with extenders. Google WiFi has fixed that problem using the mesh concept which keeps me from having to constantly switch networks with my iPad or phone.

Set it and forget it!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for a new router and after concerns about security arose with my T-Mobile re-branded Asus TM-AC1900 Cellspot, I started researching mesh routers and boiled it down to the Netgear Orbi and Google Wifi. Both are very well rated but I went with Google Wifi because security updates are pushed to it automatically. No more having to go into my router's settings to see if I need a firmware update. I live in a bi-level home (basically a rectangular box) and I placed one unit downstairs in my office, one in my living room upstairs (above the office) and one in the bedroom upstairs at the end of the hall. Coverage is outstanding - I rarely show anything less than a full signal - and speed is great. I pay for 200 down and register in the 190's. With my old setup I had my main router and another acting as an access point. Coverage was OK but I was constantly switching between the two. With the mesh configuration, it's one network all the time - no more switching. The Google Wifi app is great - you can monitor all of your devices, turn wifi access on them on and off, as well as place parental controls on individual devices. All in all I couldn't be happier with it!

The Best router and WiFi extender ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After going through 4 different WiFi extender, I bought Google Wifi AC1200 Dual-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System (3-Pack) - White at the advice of a Best Buy Sales Representative at the store. This worked so well, I would buy two more, just because I love it. The signal strength is so great, it extend to the periphery of my house, which is what I needed to install security Cameras in 4 corners of my house. I would not waste time and money on any other product. It was an easy install. I enjoyed every minute of the process.

Amazing, easy to use wifi
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is literally the best and easiest wifi i ever had. period. To mention, i like configuring my computer equipment, but as i'm married and have children who use alot of the wifi, I need something thats realiable and just WORKS. Thats it. The app is super easy to configure and setup and able to troubleshoot. I can setup rules for my kids, name and discover new devices and the mesh network provides coverage for all my devices in my house along with a decent amount of coverage outside of my house. For those who like to tinker with port settings and the whatnot. You can't do that here. If thats your jam, go for the more expensive mesh wireless system like ubiquiti where you can configure everything. again, i have a family who need realiable wifi. especially with my entire family working and schooling from home. I would 100% buy another 3 nodes if i needed to for a larger house. hell, if I had a larger house, almost every room would have one of these.

great choice for wifi in moderately large home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product was super easy to set up. You install an app on your smartphone and it walks you through the entire process. Our home is over 4500 square feet, and the 3 Google wifi devices cover the whole home seamlessly. The main router is in the corner of a full basement, and I put the other 2 units on the first floor. I can walk around with my ipad on the internet throughout my entire home (basement, first floor, second floor) and never notice any switching from one connectivity point to another. Super easy to set up!

Works as advertised (not everything does!)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.clean and easy set up. Perfect match for my FIOS GIGABIT service. I have the three pack covering 5000sqft and I can't find a weak or dead spot in the place (not even in the basement!). Great product.

Ultimate Home Connectivity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a pretty tech heavy family with multitudes of tablets, consoles, phones etc. I upgraded from a pretty newish Arris Surfboard router and all i can say is wow! Having a decent modem connected to the Google mesh wifi system means i get 5bars of signal everywhere in the 3000sqft home. Placed all the 3 units on the ground floor and that's it. Simplicity to start up with the free app. Every device has a proper name so that I know exactly what's connected. I recommend it. I bought it at $270. Well worth it.

Perfect for large houses
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently purchased a 4,000 sq ft house and I was searching for an internet solution that didn't require having several separate modems... this is it! We have one on each floor of the house and have excellent signal everywhere - even while sitting outside on the deck. The set up was effortless and I love the ability to pause internet to specific devices (like shutting off my son's wifi to his iPad) as well as setting a priority device when streaming video while others are also on the wifi. Worth every penny.

Pretty good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went in to the store looking for a new router. Was able to speak with an associate who had knowledge about the product and pointed me in the directon of the google 3pack system. The WiFi coverage in my home is excellent. Really easy setup butttt here is the kicker and why I rated it 4 star. So the directions are very vague. Simple is not always better. The system relies on the google WiFi app you install to give you set up directions. Its alll great until something goes wrong which is what happened to me when I tried to pair a wireless printer. Long story short I had to do a complete reboot to the system and re-install. The directions do not list how to pair items with the system so after some online research I was able to just find out what I needed to do. All in all a good and easy install but like I said very vague directions included with the product.

Improved home internet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Google WiFi. I already had good wifi using my cable provider modem/router. However, there were areas that it just could not reach. The Google WiFi just plugged into the modem/router and created it's own network. Now I can choose which network my devices work on. For those items that are not Google based, they stay on the cable provider network and the Google products (Chromebooks, Home speakers, and Chrome-casts) all work on the Google WiFi network. Everything is faster and easier.
