Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

Had issues with getting WiFi connectivity to the second floor of my home. Bought an extender and that didn't work. Purchased the Google mesh system and have no issues at all. I get 100 mbps upload and download no matter where I am in my house and strong connection outside as well. Very good system, works well.

Was having inconsistent connectivity and speed from my new Spectrum cable modem/Wifi router even with an added LinkSys WiFi. Devices around the house would randomly drop connections, especially our printers. Switched to this Google MeshNet and all the problems went away. Testing at 60 Mb downloads and 6 Mb uploads in various tests around the house. Setup was super easy and the app for it really makes management (what little there is) a breeze. Very satisfied customer here.

i was hesitant to leave the apple ecosystem, but after my airport extreme finally gave out, i decided to give these guys a try. theyre a tad on the expensive side, but the coverage you get (i eventually got three and kicked myself for not getting the set), is amazing. i have fiber internet, and i went from speed testing about 70mbps on the apple airport extreme to 600-800 on the google wifi. thats 10x improvement on the same type of internet! insane. worth every penny.

Easy to set up. Fast speed. App works well. You can see all your devices and run meaning speed tests. Covers house with solid WiFi. Great for a family with lots of devices. Will all my home automation and kid’s devices, I run around 35 connected devices and it handles it without a problem.

I purchased this because I had horrible internet coverage on my basement. My house is smaller but the router was on one side of the house and the TV in the basement is on the other side. I would only get 2-4 MB and I pay for 65 MB. The firsy thing about this system is that it is easy to set up. Less than 20 minutes from start to finish for setup and installing the firmware update. After it was up and running, the speed test said I was now getting 35-40 MB.

Like most things Google, this was beyond easy. Plug & play set-up with good use of QR codes to assist. We went from having full coverage in a portion of our home to full coverage everywhere! App works great, gives you lots of details on your network and its users. As a bonus, you can shut down or limit certain bandwidth hogs if they aren't getting things done in the classroom or their chores. Very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend Google Wifi!

Super easy to setup and works great. Lots of great tools in the app to verify setup and speed. One of the 3 pucks is the main hub and has to be connected to your internet. The other 2 pucks can be placed anywhere you have wifi and they extend the wifi. Very impressed how well they work.

I am so glad I purchased this system. I’ve battled WiFi coverage in the home for more than a decade using extenders or bridged routers. This system is essentially that but works seamlessly and simply while using modern AC protocol and being backwards compatible. The app is great and using it allowed me to see my chromecasts have been burning GBs of pointless data a day just because of the ambient mode. Which downloads those images even when the TV is off. Changed a few settings and now using about 10GB less a day. Also so easy to manage the network. Convoluted setups I’ve done in the past are easy to do from the phone. Didn’t need triband since it’s just getting started and somewhat pointless at this time. And with 2 ports to wire devices to the units those devices benefit from the AC protocol speed. I now have WiFi throughout my house and anywhere in my yard or garage. Strongly recommend from this technician.

I bought this set of 3 for my parents who have always had connectivity issues throughout their home (walls of lath and plaster). Streaming movies from Netflix to the Roku I bought them wasn't a pleasant experience. :-). With the new TV in the basement a change was a must. The Google Wifi setup was amazingly simple. It reminded me of the old Apple equipment that just worked. Very good experience and they now have full coverage (with full speed) throughout their home. I checked in with them the other day and they have had no issues. I had previously purchased the Linksys Velop for my home and the setup is night and day easier on the Google Wifi. Fantastic product and well worth the money.

This solution is excellent. The software and setup was perfect. The software updates automatically. The system lets me know through its internal speed test how fast my down and up streams are working compared to what I pay for cable internet, there is no drop in my speed between the devices. I'm fully covered and protected. I upgraded from a Nighthawk and a Linksys wifi routers top line units which cannot do what these do, cover the home. Thank you.

    Amazing and Simple WiFi

The Google WiFi is by far the easiest and best router I have ever used to date. Setup is so simple and easy you will be up and running in under 10 minutes and ready to power all your devices. I live in a 1700 Sq Foot townhouse and I am currently only running 1 Wifi point centered in the middle of the house. Even though 1 Wifi point is rated to work up to a 1500 Sq foot home I have had no issues with connectivity or speed from the furthest locations in the house from the Wifi point. The speed is also very consistent which was very important to me because I have had routers in the past that say they offer a certain speed but never truly deliver it unless you're standing next to the router and even then they didnt work as well as the Google WiFi. So if you're in for an upgrade I highly recommend the purchase because it is future proof and works extremely well. The best part is if you need to add on points to your network for a wider coverage Google WiFi easily lets you do so giving you the ability to cover massive spaces as with a strong connection throughout.

Went to Best Buy to research options to solve our WiFi signal issues within the house. Intended to go in a completely different direction but after speaking with the sales person I realized I was overthinking the solution. He recommended I try Google WiFi . Perfect solution for our needs to insure signal strength throughout all the entire house. Easy to set up and allows me to monitor usage and upload/download speeds. Perfect solution for us.

Love this router - great design and super simple to setup. Our coverage in the house has improved as has our overall speed in all areas. Setup was easy, managing devices is simple and I like the family mode feature. To us the fact that it works so well with so little effort was a big win, I'm more than happy with this purchase.

Installed and have been using Google WiFi for more than a month now. Very easy to setup (took about 30 mins), everything was configurable using Google WiFi app on iPhone. I’ve 4000+ sq ft home with basement and previous WiFi was unable to cover all the rooms in the house. Google WiFi covered all areas, connection extended outside the house and connects well to Rachio installed outside the house too. All the devices come with lan ports, I attached couple of ethernet port switch to connect to other devices. Mesh network is cool ensure connectivity doesn’t drop while you move around the house. I can control the devices remotely using an iPhone app from anywhere. I wish the extender could have little bit more range hence 4 stars

My old ASUS router died after about a year of use and I was in need of a new router. Hesitant since it’s just a node without an additional switch built in, the reviews were enough for me to give it a shot. Now I get 200mbps anywhere in my apartment and setup was super simple. It automatically selects the best channel to give you the fastest speed. I was able to reserve IPs using the google wifi app instead of a web browser. Different change, but the app works really well. It gives you the ability to see what devices are on your network and how much data they’re pulling. I highly recommend and I’m going to try to get other family members on it as well. As a side note, if you require to hardwire anything, you can buy a 10 dollar gigabit switch that the home can connect to via Ethernet. I have a 5 port TP-Link that goes to all the other devices

For the past 2 months i've been messing with repeaters and extenders but will always have holes with my wifi in my 2700sq ft. place. I was tired of my repeaters/extenders being inconsistent so i started reading about mesh networks. Google Wifi is seriously the easiest and most effective way to get around holes in your wifi. Setup takes like 5-10mins, and no matter where i go in my place i always get wifi. definitely recommend!

I'm a System Administrator for a living, but I have no interest at all in doing more of my "work" at home. Thus, the simplicity of this device is wonderful. If you enjoy getting into the nitty-gritty of networking details, you will be disappointed. Me, on the other hand - I just want something that works well and doesn't require my time and attention. That pretty much sums up Google WiFi. I have approximately 2400 square feet in my home, so the three pack is a bit of overkill...but a single router wasn't enough to cover all three stories. So yes, it may be a bit more than I need, but I now have fantastic signal strength and speeds throughout my entire house, and a good bit outside as well. I do wish it had more than two Ethernet ports per device, but whatever. It works beautifully.

I've had my Google Wifi set-up for a few months now and it works really well. I have a 1,000 sq ft apartment, with the main point set-up in my home office and another set-up about 40 feet away in the corner of the living room. The two points offer perfect coverage for my entire place and deliver exceptional speed wherever I speed test from. We have over 10 devices connected to the network and at any one time stream multiple 4k shows in different rooms and we never have any lagging or issues. Lastly, the app is really easy to use and gives you a lot of great features that are much more complicated to set-up on a normal router. Google has done a really good job making this simple for anyone. I'm very pleased with the Google Wifi system and have recommended to many of my friends.
