Solved all my networking problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a modestly sized 2000-sq ft two story home, though the ceilings are pretty high. We recently switched our ISP to AT&T, and so we use the provided DSL-modem. My wife and I have an iPhone 8 and X. When we switched ISP to AT&T, we found we were having difficulty connecting to the Wifi in the back bedrooms upstairs. Doing some reading on it, I found that others with our generation iPhones had similar Wifi issues, perhaps because Apple started favoring the 5 gHz bandwidth over the 2.4 gHz, that the 5 gHz bandwidth had limited range relative to the 2.4 band, and came to the conclusion that perhaps our provided modem could not broadcast the signal strongly enough. I tried a Netgear Nighthawk mesh extender first, which did not solve our problems. The reported advantage of a mesh network over Wifi points or range extenders is that all points work together to broadcast one Wifi signal so that you remain connected to the same network as you move about. I was hesitant to try this product for two reasons: (1) Reviews said that you could not create a Wifi network with a dedicated 5 gHz channel and one with a dedicated 2.4 channel. As far as I can tell, this is true, and if this was the issue with our previous modem, it would not have solved our problem. (2) The BB tech said that I would have to call AT&T to activate the router when hardwiring it to the modem, an extra step of hassle I didn't really look forward to dealing with. This mesh network solved all my problems. (1) It's true you can't have separate dedicated 5 and 2.4 gHz channels, but that doesn't seem to have been the problem anyways. This mesh network has a feature that smartly "targets" the appropriate Wifi devices with the right bandwidth. Whatever feature is kicking in, it is working. (2) I did not have to call AT&T to activate this device. I plugged it into the modem and now ignore the signal broadcasted by the AT&T modem/router combo. Google Wifi broadcasts just fine. (3) Three mesh network points for a 2000-sq ft house seems like overkill, but I can happily report that I have had zero problems since setting this up. Google released this product a couple years ago, but as far as my experience has gone, it seems it is still the gold standard for home networking.

Super easy to set up, strong wifi connection!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to extend wifi to the whole house. Because of the house layout and insolation, it was hard to have connectivity, especially that everything at the house uses the internet: thermostat, cameras, consoles, lights, TVs, tablets, smartphones. I took some time checking all the options until I decided to get these from Google. You can set up several of these units, depending on your house size and needs. Right now, I am running 5 and I use one on my deck when we are in the backyard to stream music and movies.

Internet problem solved
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in an apartment building where the walls must be made of adamantium (very hard fictional element. Dont try looking it up) but In a one bedroom apartment i had dead spots. This has solved the problem. I recently brought a smart TV and you cant have a smart TV and dead spots so I got the Google wifi with the TV. Put it in the furthest ends of my apartment and Vawla! (I know that's not how you spell it. I like it that way.) Instant internet throughout my apartment. No lag no more dead spots. I recomend this to everyone.

easy setup, great performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.setting this system up was super easy. works well. i have a dozen + devices and several that stream at any given time spread out throughout the various connections points and the performance is top notch. their app is real easy to use and allows easy network changes from anywhere with your mobile device. you don't have to be home. this may make some people twinge at the security implications of your network being so easily accessible and configurable from the outside but Google has a pretty good track record so I'm not too concerned.

Very easy to set up, great signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because of the size of my new house, the B.B. rep told me I should get the three pack. I only set up one and because it’s in the center of the house, I have good signal throughout. I took back the three and exchanged it for one. Very easy to set up.

Great Wifi for home- Interface needs work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a good Wi-Fi system for my home, and the reviews of this system were mostly positive for signal strength and speed. There is an application you have to download for your phone in order to control and complete your network, and it is definitely not the most intuitive software I’ve ever seen. I initially had trouble getting the devices to see each other, but after doing a little research online, I found that if you have your modem firewall on anything but low or off, the system will not work. Once I set the modem firewall to low, the system came to life. I also cannot get the system to perform correctly in bridge mode, so sharing the wireless signal with my wired network has yet to work. Performance is excellent, and I’m really pleased with it overall. Speed and reliability has been great... I have good signal strength throughout my house on all floors, and have yet to drop connection. Needs some work, but I like it so far.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these to boost my home wifi. I was originally told by a best buy employee that I would have to shut off the wifi option on my wifi modem that I rent from my cable company but that was not the case. It works just fine, I just gave it a different network name and it essentially is working similar to a range extender. I can now use my wifi outside in my yard and in front of my house on the street if I wanted to. It's great. No more buffering on Netflix or getting kicked off the network. Highly recommend it. It's very easy to setup as well.

Great price for full house Wifi coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to install. I have all the points connected to Ethernet and I am able to reach full gigabyte speeds. I decided To go with Google Wifi because each point has an Ethernet port. I like all my devices wired to take advantage of isp speeds.

Huge lift to my internet speed and range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought based on personal friend recommendations and my research online. So happy I bought this! ATT seems to have let me down on the internet speed and there seemed no remedy til I bought this. Now my speed is up another 10% and I can access the internet anywhere in my house and on my patio! New to the area and previously loved working on my laptop on the patio. New house this wasn't working at all due to poor service by ATT. Now, voila! Love this and so simple to install, even I could do it and I'm no tech savvy person. Highly recommend this!

Great Home WiFi Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great home Wifi. Increases the signal strength all throughout my house. Super simple to setup as well. The ISP modem/router just wasn't strong enough and we'd have weak spots in the home. Placing these 3 Google Wifi spots have solved the issue.

I had an Apple Airport Extreme, this is superior
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a large house and the Apple Airport Extreme would not get wifi to my bedrooms on the second floor. I installed the Google Wifi and have wonderful coverage everywhere. It was extremely easy to install and I would highly recommend.

This is a great Wifi solution
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this product as an upgrade to my network from a nighthawk router. Better coverage, better speed control. The app based management piece works great and the ability to plug Ethernet directly into the pods was also very useful. I recently upgraded again to the new Neat version and was able to use this product integrated into the network flawlessly. Dry satisfied with the google mesh solution, both for quality, easy of setup and use, but most of all performance.

Great Mesh WiFi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast speed and great coverage. No dead spots in my house. My old wireless router I was getting 40-50mbs down. With this router I am getting the speeds I pay for and then some. An average download speed of 180mbs. Highly recommend.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had older Netgear router for home WiFi. Spectrum increased everyone's speed around our area to 100mbs but I wasn't seeing that with my older router. Google WiFi setup couldn't have been easier and I'm consistently seeing 100mbs+ speeds.

Goggle WiFi - Why Not?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed something to supplement our Wireless modem. Range extenders tended to screw up things more then anything else, so a hardwired solution was needed. Other access points were more expensive and somewhat complicated to setup. Right out of the box, the Google instructions are super easy to follow. Download the app, follow the instructions, and away you go. The device is smaller than a can of stew, is clean with a simple color operation indicator, and can sit on a shelf. Customer service is excellent. I had an issue with the Google WiFi going off line after a week of operating. Through their support chat, I found that one of the cat5 cables in my run was not giving the best signal for the WiFi to operate. A quick replacement of that bad cable solved the problem. WiFi has been operating perfectly ever since.
