Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

Fast and easy setup in a 2 story condo. This was a 3 pack. I really only needed 2, but it was almost the same price to buy the 3 pack as it was to buy 2 singles. So, I have stronger signal for basically the same cost.

Live in a condo with brick walls, 2 wifi spots made all the difference. Even faster by a few mbs than the cable provider router. Super easy to set up. Great control from phone app, down to the light on the unit.

    Solved all Wi-Fi problems

I had spotty Wi-Fi that was constantly dropping and slow using my AT&T supplied combo router/modem. I have 80MB to my desktop but from six feet away from the router my WiFi speed to my iPhone ranged from 1-25MB and dropped often. I would also have issues trying to play my Sonos sound system. I looked at the reviews and purchased the Google WiFi system. It was so simple to set up and the entire process took less than 45 minutes. My iPhone download speed is now right at my wired speed of 80MB and even at the farthest from a puck I get 40MB+. I have not had a single dropped connection since. This was not the cheapest solution but after reading the reviews and experiencing it myself I am 100% confident that this was the right choice and a great value.

We spend a lot of time in our garage and found the WiFi to be spotty at best so I took the plunge with this system and am really glad I did. I can now get full signal half a block away from my house from the unit I placed in the garage. It was so easy to set up and has provided more than adequate coverage for my family's needs. I also really love the app that allows for easy control of settings and managing connected devices. I have around 30 connections with zero lag.

I have a two story, 3500 sq ft home that up until now, I've not been successful with a wifi system that has a strong enough signal to be used anywhere in the house. Google WiFi is AWESOME!! IT comes with 3 separate extenders so you can strategically place throughout your home. It creates a mesh network so there is no dropping from one to the next, which was always a problem before. Now, I get great coverage anywhere in the house, garage and is even blazing fast in my backyard. LOVE this product!

After a lot of research, I concluded that Google WiFi was the best option for my needs. Excellent coverage, easy to set up and good parental controls. One thing that I really like and I don’t know how they accomplished this, is managing to not lose speed from one hope to the other over the mesh network. I've tried other mesh networks solutions, like Samsung home connect, and it loses speed when it hopes from one AP to another. This is normal, but somehow Google WiFi eliminated this.

Easy installation with a little phone support from Google. The three units give us coverage on three floors a an adjacent In Law apartment. I had good assistance from Best Buy Staff in selecting the right unit,

I have a 4500 sq ft 2 story house with a basement (really 3 stories) that I have had two internet services/modems and routers covering and still getting spotty reception. I received the Google 3 pack router, set it up which was relatively easy, moved the one point to the top level of the house and the other to the basement where our theater is & decided to set it next to our Xbox 1 for now and hardwire it in. I have had 12 devices and coverage is strong throughout the house on the one network without any drop offs - so far. If this continues I will cancel the extra internet service I have coming in to the house and just run with this Google modems which has replaced the Apple Airport Hub 2TB and a Netgear $170 latest router.

The Google Wifi mesh system has worked flawlessly for over a year - very simple setup, and great speed and reliability. The app is great for running speed checks, to diagnose whether a slow-down is local, or at the modem/ISP level. Our house is 400ft with two stories, wood/plasterboard construction, and we have good signal everywhere, with judicious placement of nodes near the modem, and then one centrally on each floor. I would highly recommend this product.

Google WiFi delivers very reliable 480mbs speed throughout my whole house. Very easy to setup and configure with the mobile app. Each hub has Ethernet out which is great for wired devices throughout the house.

    Google AC1200 AC1304 Crushes Linksys Velop AC2200

I have been using the Velop AC2200 for the last 6 months, but came across a Google Mesh AC1304 AC1200 for cheap so I thought I would compare the two speeds and stay with the better performing unit. We pay for 500mbps Down and 20 Up from Xfinity. With the Velop, I was getting just over 300mbps Dn and 17up near the main unit on both their 5ghz band and 200mbps near the 2nd unit. With Google wifi, I am getting 521mbps Dn and 20 up near the main unit and 300dn and 20 up near the second node. Google is the hands-down winner in speeds (which is my main judging factor) so the Linksys Velop unit is currently on eBay being sold.

I bought this to get a better wifi signal to a Ring Doorbell Pro and a Ring Floodlight Cam. It worked. No problems. The Ring Floodlight Cam wouldn't work at all prior to using this because it was too far from the modem with built in wifi which was in the basement. The Ring Floodlight Cam is attached to a outside garage about 20 feet from the house and about 35 feet from the modem with built in wifi. I previously tried a wifi extender but the signal at the Ring Floodlight Cam wasn't strong enough. I used this and it works with no problem. I put one in the basement near the window closest to the garage and I put the other one inside near the doorbell. Pleasantly surprised! Worked great! No problems.

Talked to a rep about this and she did not thinik this would do the job for me. I have a 2 story house and all the rooms are upstairs and only living space downstairs. It was an easy setup and the app is great. I am a tech guy and would the typical browser setup but this is too easy not to love. If you are looking for multiple setting in your router like port forwarding/ vpn and the many other features this is not for you. Overall great speed and easy set up.
