Best wifi I have had!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I live in a small apartment (1000 sq ft), my netgear modem and wifi router works ok, but not great. When I was in my bedroom, the signal wouldn't be as good when I was near the router. I am using a 100mbps from spectrum, and I would get an average of 50 mbps throughout the apartment. I read some reviews about the Google Wifi and I decided to give it a try. Super easy setup with the app. Once it's up and running, I have 120mbps ANYWHERE in the house. It's that amazing. I'm super satisfied. If you have a bigger house, consider purchasing a second Google Wifi for larger coverage.

Finally have whole house coverage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google WiFi system solved my house's issue with coverage. Previous systems provided spotty coverage. I now get a strong signal in every room. Easy to install and set up. Since they all work together I don't have to have several wifi names for devices to try to connect to. I just wish the light could be dimmed because it lights up rooms at night.

Super Easy Setup & Fast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Units are off white, pretty small with a rubber strip around the bottom to keep them from sliding around, so they stay put where you put them. Activity light is in a small slot in the middle, white means your network is up and running. If you have an issue they'll change color to let you know. You can change the brightness of the lights or turn them off completely if you wish. They also have a small indentation on the bottom for attached cables so the unit sits flat on the surface wherever you decide to put it. Each unit has a USB C connector for power and they plug directly into a socket, no power bricks or extra boxes are used. Each unit has only two ethernet ports available and the one used as the main unit you're using one to connect to your modem so only one is available to connect additional devices. If you need more than one I just hooked up a five port switch and it was easily solved. On the others you're using as mesh access points you can use both if needed or add a switch if you have that many devices. Setup is crazy easy. Download the Google Wifi app from either Google Play or the App Store. All the units are the same so just pick one to use as the main router, connect the power cable and the provided Ethernet cable and fire up the Google Wifi app. You can use pretty much any phone or tablet, either Android or IOS to do the setup. Sign into your Google account or set one up if you don't have one, scan the QR code on the bottom of the unit, set up a network SSID and a password and you're good to go. The app already knows you have two additional units so your next step is pretty much plug them in and the app does the rest of the setup by itself. Couples of minutes later your mesh Wifi system is ready to go. I needed to move one of them a couple of feet to get a better connection back to the base unit but that was it. The app will tell you how strong the connection is between the mesh points and the router so it's really easy to see if you need to make any adjustments. Performance from the router unit is comparable to any other router I've used with max throughput (ISP speed is 350/25) within about 20 Feet from the base unit. If you have a small apartment one unit will cover it nicely with no dead spots. I have the base unit upstairs and the mesh units downstairs on opposite sides of the house (2500 sq. ft.). No dead spots I can find and the mesh units provide a really strong, fast signal with low latency. Speed on the two mesh units are around 160/25, which is quite usable for gaming, 4K video, etc. For comparison I've used a recently released super high end traditional router with eight antennas and a different system that looks like a couple of giant air fresheners and Google Wifi compares very favorably to both of them for a lot less money. The entire system is controlled by the Wifi app, includes pretty much any info you could need about signal strength, performance, etc. If you're a tech geek who likes to tweak their network settings you may be disappointed, but if you want a solid easy to setup and maintain mesh wifi system then this is a solid choice and highly recommended.

Best routers I've ever used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never seemed to have good luck with routers. The speeds aren't there unless i'm right next to the router and they're completely unreliable anywhere else in the house. Not the case with these. They're easy to set up and getting 3 made it easy to make sure I covered my entire house. I haven't had ONE issue since installing these. This is a great wifi system to use.

Easy Set up
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already had 2 of them already but I needed to replace my Google HUB that was acting up. I had it for 6 yrs, and it was actually ready to be upgraded. For those of you who may not know, technology changes very rapidly, and to keep everything fresh with the speeds offered by your provider, change out you WIFI units every 3 yrs at the most. I added these 3 units to my existing google units and my WIFI has no blind spots any where in my home and back yard. I noticed an increase in speed after I installed the new mesh system. The set up through the google app make set-up a breeze and VERY easy. The Google mesh automatically selects the fastest channel and seamlessly changes from 2 GHZ to 5GHZ for the fasted connection. his mesh also provides guest access for your peeps that come visit you. Oh and with the app, you can boot people off, setup a timer to shut off and a bunch of other neat features. I would highly recommend this mesh system.

This system rocks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 of the single units for our 1600 sq ft house. Setup is an absolute breeze as long as you can follow the simple directions in the app. Start to finish 15 minutes. 115 Mbps anywhere in my house and finally out on the patio. 5 year old Netgear AC1600 router couldn't make it through the walls and sliding glass door to the patio. 5 stars is really not enough.

Simple, Easy & Great Reliable Connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We previously had a fancy router with functions that we do not really use and cost more than the Google WiFis but we had intermittent connectivity issues where we had no connection for short periods of time. Setup was very easy and the Google's mesh system provided great coverage around our home. We no longer have the intermittent connectivity issues.

Solve your home WiFi issues!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google Home Wifi is the right choice if you have a lot of smart devices in your home. I didn't realize how many devices my household has connected plus my neighbors were using my guest WiFi and it just kept going and going. The Google Wifi created a reliable internet connection throughout our house which is about 4,000 sq ft that I dedicated to our home security system because it's that reliable. I didn't think the pack of three would be enough but it's plenty enough for connectivity, I even pick-up the signal outside of the home for a good distance with no lag.

Easy to configure scalable network for everyone.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a tinkerer, I'll tell you now, you should probably avoid this setup. It's best for people who need minimal options but want maximum coverage and quality. You can set reservations and manage some minimal options - DNS, WAN, DHCP/LAN options - port forwarding and IPV6. There is guest network and a QOS feature, but it's really designed for short term priority and that's about it. I think I have a pretty dense network for a home setup - about 8 wired devices and 16 wireless. With that being said, I've had no performance issues. Keep in mind that if you have a larger space, you can definitely buy more nodes to add. I don't believe there is a maximum number of units you can add to a single mesh network. Have a 3,000 sq ft house - maybe you'll want 6 - 900 sq ft apartment, probably good with a single. I'm currently running 3 of the units in a 1,900 sq ft space - it's probably a little overkill, but at least I have full coverage in the house and backyard now. Keep in mind that all management is done via the Google Wifi mobile app. No web interface here. It took me a little bit getting used to - especially since coming off a Netgear Nighthawk and some other DD-WRT devices. I've gotten comfortable with letting go of old things and I must say, I'm happy with my router/AP just working as intended.

A no brainer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had been waiting for the cable company to deliver on their whole home product for over a year and finally gave up on them. Read the reviews on the Google Wi-Fi and opted for this instead. Blazing fast speed and easy to use admin control with smart phone to pause select devices. Have been very satisfied and continue to recommend to family and friends.

Very Good and very easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous router got fried during a Thunderstorm. Was very upset because it was a very good system (Orbi with one satilite). But it was not as easy to setup as this Google system was. The app to set it was a dream. Wifi coverage is great (3 pack) and has been very reliable.I would buy again in a heartbeat. Have not missed my Orbi one second. Highly recommend.

Easy set up, excellent performer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up, excellent performer. My entire experience with this router has been more than pleasant. Very simple to set up. We have a 1350 square-foot home, and the coverage is just fantastic, especially considering it’s an old house that is a plaster and laugh construction. Other routers have had problems covering the entire house. Highly Recommended.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was in the market to purchase a new router since the one I have was not performing. I went into Best Buy and the sales person showed me a few different routers that may suit my needs. He then showed me the Google and i was hesitant at first but when he explained the return policy I thought I would try them. I glad I did. What a difference. Streaming movies is now quicker and painless. We can run more devices at the same time and our whole house (2,000+ sq.ft.) is covered. I highly recommend this router. My son-in-law is going to Best Buy today to purchase one.
