I life in a LOOOOOOOOONG house. like, super long......my living room wasn't getting a good enough wifi connection, so I decided to go with this mesh system. Well, it worked! I now have wifi in my living room(far away from the modem) and in the out door seating/entertaining area that the living room flows into! Make sure all devices connect though, I had a problem with one of my TVs not connecting. Fixed it by creating a guest network and then renaming the original network. Google rep said he had never seen that problem before.

This was incredibly easy to set up. We have one access point on each level of our house: upstairs, main level, and basement. Although the primary is located in the basement (where our cable modem comes in), we have excellent speeds on all levels. In other words, we achieved much better coverage than the instructions describe (I think the instructions state that each of the access points needs to be within two rooms of the primary, and ours are separated by 1 or 2 floors). We also have devices plugged into two of the access points. There again, speeds are great. The only caveat, and this would occur with any new router or access point, is that some of our devices (e.g. Sonos, TiVo) wouldn't connect until I changed our Fios router/cable modem into bridge mode. That means, you allow your Google wifi devices to obtain the IP address directly from your provider. To avoid these issues, I would advise people to call their providers and ask how to bridge your router/modem at the outset. Last note: I also called Google wifi tech support to ask a question after I set this up. Shockingly, the person I spoke with (1) understood my question, and (2) clearly explained the answer. I've never had tech support this good, except at Apple. Really it was a pleasure.

Works really well for a mid-size ( 2300 sqt) home. My basement is unfinished so I really wanted 2 units but got the 3 pack anyways since the price difference between buying 2 packs separately and a 3 pack was only $40. This will atleast tempt me to finish the basement now I have one unit placed in the family room next to the comcast modem and 2 on the upper level , one in master bedroom and one in one of my kids room at the side of the common wall between two kids rooms. I am on the 100 mbps comcast plan and the routers easily pull 80-90 mbps in all rooms. At late nights / early mornings I have seem them pull 110 mbps ( not sure how that works on a 100 mbps plan) As a bonus the on the go controls from the Google WIFI app fits into my objective to automate the home and control the wifi from anywhere , just like I now control the nest , lights etc Setup was very easy and a person without no technical knowledge can do it. The biggest downside of this router is the single LAN port which means you can only connect a single LAN device for the output. I have a cordless landline phone router ( ooma) and Samsung smart things hub ( which also needs a LAN connection for some reason) and I cannot connect both. The other downside is the high price but I feel its worth the investment.

After much research (into mesh wi-fi) I finally caved and decided on Google's mesh wi-fi solution. This was replacing a Belkin wireless router and a single repeater. The repeater was beginning to have issues with losing signal, and since it pretty much linked half of the wi-fi devices in my home it was time to do something about it. Firstly, I think something must be said about the simple, elegant packaging this comes in. It was very clean, and easy to deal with. Once out of the package setup was extremely simple. Download the Google Wi-Fi app, attach your first wi-fi point to your modem and plug in the power. A quick barcode scan in the app and you are quickly on your way through setup. I honestly can't remember a standard router setup being this simple. Just give your new network a name and password and that's pretty much it. Adding the additional points was even easier, plug in, scan and it copied all settings and ran a test in a jiffy. I estimate a total of 15 minutes to set up all three, and it only took that long because I was picky about placement. Wi-fi signal is now very strong throughout my entire home, and without having to have multiple named networks like I did with my router/repeater setup.

I had an n router before. My house isn't that big, but the router was located at one extreme end of the house, giving dead spots at the opposite end, which is where my smart TV with a Chromecast is located. I had to use a WiFi range extender to get them to work, but that caused issues with my smart home devices and caused phones to randomly lose connection as we moved through the house. Plus my internet speed was not great. I was even considering upgrading my cable router, but decided to go for a three pack of Google WiFi routers instead. They fixed all of my issues! I now have blazing fast internet throughout my entire house, and even in my yard. The app is very useful as well. We have a guest network, and the app can send a message with the password. It can do speed checks of the cable modem, routers, and WiFi signal to devices. You can set time limits on WiFi usage per device, or set a device to take priority. My only complaint is that each router only has two LAN ports, and one has to connect to the modem (leaving 5 available for connecting other devices), so now my various smart home hubs are scattered throughout my house instead of grouped by the modem. It's a small price to pay for reliable WiFi.

Absolute must buy. Yes it's a little pricey, but our 2000ft sq home finally has zero dead zones and we have high speed internet throughout the house! Tried upgrading the router to a Nighthawk before but with no success. The Google wifi home system did the trick. No more nagging from my wife that she can't FaceTime her family. I can stream videos and browse anywhere from my house. Plus, they look kinda cool around the house and you can dim the light all the way in case it bothers you while you sleep. 5 stars. No complaints.

I bought this Google Wifi 3-pack for what it was capable of to solve wifi dead spots at home. After downloading the Google Wifi app on to my iPhone X, I was pleasantly surprised of the plug-n-play installation procedure which took just around 10 minutes to get all 3 access points working. I just had to respond to a few basic questions on the app to name my home network, create a password, etc. The main access point downstairs was plugged to the router and 2 other access points were deployed at an upstairs hallway and in the garage for external cameras coverage. Having named the new network same as the old one being replaced while retaining the same password, all my existing devices seamlessly connected immediately with minimal to no intervention on my part. The app gave me precise feedback on the signal strength of the access points and each connected wireless device. Love this router and how it was engineered for non-tech consumers like me. In fact, my son and son-in-law upgraded their home wifi routers respectively to Google Wifi shortly thereafter. All our homes now have great wifi coverage with this mesh wifi technology.

Easiest network ever to set-up. Almost does it by itself. Just follow a few prompts in the app and sit back. I got the 3 device mesh network for future expansion. Just for kicks, decided to hook-up another unit. Literally plugged it in and almost did everything itself although I did have to lift a finger to give the locations a name. EVERYTHING should be this easy, Way to Go Google. I'm between the age of 65 & 70. If it was easy for me,it's gonna be easier for the younger more tech savvy people. Absolutely recommend.

All the reviews on these are correct. The router does a much better job than prior unit. Had an N band router, got this and my internet speed shot up drastically. I was shocked and much happier with current internet speed because of this new product. I never realized I was losing so much. Google does great work. Setup was a breeze and I get whole home coverage.

After switching from Comcast internet to ATT & Direct TV last year the range of my home ATT modem was significantly noticeable. My house is about 1,300 sq feet not including the huge backyard of 4,000 sq feet. Old fashion home from the 50’s study walls making a really bad signal from my living room to the master bath. I needed something to boost my signal inside and outside the house. After trying signal busters it was annoying having to switch from one network to another. So I gave this google WiFi a try. Wow, the experience was amazing. I just needed 1 of these and the problem as solve immediately. I use this as my Main network in the house out and inside. 1 google WiFi was sufficient for my needs. It keeps the same speed you pay for and always reliable fast internet in my house. The Google app is also a great control of your WiFi. It worth every dollar you spend. Got it on sale for 118.00 and had a 10% cupon. Good home network solution for anybody with a regular 1,500 sq feet home. Just go and buy it. Put your actual ATT or Comcast modem to sleep. Google WI FI is the only solution. And AT&T should honesty improve the quality of their modems. Or pay for my new Google WI FI.

We used multiple WiFi signal boosters including Linksys and they just didn’t work. We were about to change service providers until I researched mesh products. Google nailed it. Speed, reliability, and ease of use are excellent. Product works so well we probably could’ve gotten away with just 2 devices. Love the guest network capability too!

Overall love the mesh network; switched from a high-end gaming-oriented router to this, and this is definitely the easier of the two to set up. I get pretty good coverage with the three points, though my home's walls are pretty thick and so upstairs is not quite perfect- but way better than my previous network was even with an extender added. Setup couldn't be easier, though I wouldn't mind a few more advanced features- having more than one extra ethernet point comes to mind. Still, great deal, and easy to use. Also the app controller for it is solid.

Purchased this mesh system for the reliability and bang for the buck from google, and love it. Gives me coverage across the house and into the garage and yard (about 2500 sq ft). It’s extremely easy to setup and haven’t had any downtime resets that I’ve experienced with previous routers. Highly recommend the buy!

I recently upgraded my old router to the Google Wi-Fi. I am very pleased with it. Setup was very simple with the app. I definitely noticed a difference in speed and the range is great. I just have the router no pin points were needed for a 2,200 s.f. home
