I'm on my second one of these now. Luckily Best Buy is great with exchanges. I use this on my helmet mounted GoPro for motorcycle vlogging. First one kept bending due to wind blast, and the mini USB broke off. I exchanged for new one and the second also bends right at the mini USB which plugs into GoPro. Great for a non-extreme use, but for My application, it just doesn't hold up.

It's the smallest GoPro camera case that I could fine. It works very well fits my camera bag perfectly.

No to happy with this, it works ok but cord to short and unless you are right up in the action does not record great.

Unfortunately this did not fit the 1st gen go pro. Holding onto it till we get an updated version of a Go Pro

I hated to pay 20 dollars for this tiny cable. However, after some research I decided to go with the official GoPro version over some of the knock offs you find on the web. Apparently, there are some issues with the knock offs that are pinned incorrectly and wont turn off the internal mic etc. I bought this with the skeleton case for moto vlogging purposes.

I think the microphone works great when you are not moving around a lot. When there is a lot of wind or speed involved you need to secure it with tape or something to hold it in place or else you will get background noise of it flapping or banging against something.

You have to have this accessory to use any microphone, so that's issue number one (not a complaint, just a fact when dealing with a GoPro) and to use any mount you will need the skeleton housing which is an additional cost (and accessory to carry around. But it works great, just know that you will need additional accessories.

I tried 3 different China brand copies for the GoPro mic adapter and none of them had stereo, only one channel would record to the GoPro, so I personally found that there is no China brand to replace this, forced to by OEM...

Needed the adaptor to use with a lav mic and it provided a accessible and affordable solution. If you're going to pick it up at the store however, you may need to check out a few places where adapters are displayed.

I bought the GoPro The Frame Mount to allow access to the side ports so I could plug in the Microphone Adapter. I was able to use all of my Microphones with it and the sound was perfect.

GoPro - 3.5mm Microphone Adapter - Black. This item allows you to mute or cancel the sound recording from the GoPro. Turns off the GoPro Mic Microphone when plugged in. Do not bend this cable more than a gentle curve. On the first one I had, I bent the cable back to tape it out of the way to the GoPro housing and 4 hours later the cable shroud was frayed fractured torn. It almost seemed dry rotted (strange for rubber or bendable plastic product that can't be more than a few years old). 3 stars for that but the cable does work well as an external mic adapter and for muting the internal mic. No more wind noise on action video!

You guys always seem to have what I need either in the store or online I've only price matched a couple of times as your prices are usually the best there are.

This is a requirement when running external miss that have a 3.5mm jack. It does well and have had no issues with it. Best to always go with go pro brand.

It does what it's supposed to do. You can plug in any external microphone that has a 1/8" connection and it works good, with no noise.
