You have to have an extra battery for the karma. 18 minutes of flight time per charge is pretty good for the drone's size but not long enough. The only hitch is that, and maybe this was just me, then first replacement battery I bought didn't fit into my drone. I bought a second and it also didn't fit, but I noticed it was just barely not clearing the plastic of the drone's shell up by the charge indicator. I cut a millimeter off of the plastic on the drone and the battery fits fine now. In the files uploaded the picture with the orange sticker is stock, without is replacement. The left side of the photo shows the closeness.

You gotta have a couple backups! The GoPro Karma always keeps you wanting more time to fly around and get awesome images and video!

Your gonna want to pick up a few of these to keep your drone going. you get anywhere from 15-19 minutes flight time. so pick up like 2 for extended flights. you can also use a fully charge battery and the hookups to charge your gimble and camera.

I purchased this battery along with my karma drone because, I wanted to fly my drone more than the 30 min provided in the first battery. I’m glad I purchased it because, when I fly I often fly for 45min to an hour. I would give this review 5 stars however one feature which I disapprove of is, if you just leave the battery sitting for a while it uncharges itself. I have to constantly make sure it’s fully charged when going on a flight.

Great battery, fast charging wish it had a bit longer charge

It's native to karma and works only difference is it has some red stripe on it so that manufacturers know it didn't come with the drone in case you have battery issues. I'm going to buy one additional one so I can fly longer and then I'll have 3 wish we could bust that 99 bucks though in still glad they are cheaper than my dji batteries glad I sold that thing for the karma

Trust me get as many extra batteries as you can afford. Under good conditions I get about 15 solid minutes of flight time. Weather and wind will drastically change the time though. So take that into consideration when flying.

An extra battery is a must for Karma owners. The battery lasts quite a while, but it's nice to have an extra when we travel and a recharge isn't convenient.

This is a must if you want to make sure you have enough time to shoot whatever you need to shoot. extra battery never hurt anyone.

When I read the manual for my drone I recognize that I need to have a replacement battery to expand my fun time with it!

It's expensive but worth the cost. Your first flights will go by fast as you learn, adjust, and perfect your skills so a 2nd battery makes the flight/trip worth it. Once you get more flight time and practice in it's still worth having a 2nd battery for twice as much fun or footage if you're recording. I purchased this as a 2nd battery to my kit. I was quite disappointed to learn that it was over 2 1/2 years old fresh off the shelf, I hope this doesn't bite me in the butt down the road! I knocked off a star because I've never gotten over 18 minutes of flight time and if I were to actually time it, I'm sure it would be closer to 15 and even less if you tend to stay in sport mode. Overall it works and seems to be on par performance wise with my <6 months old battery that came with the kit. Charging seems to be about 1hr 15mins and I also hate the fact it looses a fair amount to charge in as little as a week, very annoying when you go to fly and your flight time is down to 10 mins!!! Either way, stop reading and go get one!

A Karma battery lets you fly 18 min according to the controler's display. You need to subtract 3 min flight time because that is the critical low battery power that triggers Karma's auto-return. So, actual flight time per battery up to 15 min in the real world. The battery charges in about 1 hour.

It does what its supposed to do....... It takes a charge and hold the charge for the good times to come

The extra battery is great fits nicely into my bag. And adds more flight time which everyone needs!

You will want a few extra of these batteries so you can stay out and have more fun.
