The GoPro - Floaty Backdoor is a very good idea. It goes on the back of your GoPro waterproof case that is of course on your camera. Your camera floats as well as water proof. It is very compact and light weight. If you are water lover , this is for you.

It does what it says it will, float a go pro Hero. Gave it 4 stars because I bought it as a backup plan for running a mud run using the head strap but the foam is so thick that it would not allow for the proper angle on camera. I rigged it so it was tied to the back of the head strap. After going down a slid the head strap came off but the float had no problem floating the whole setup.

The floaty is a MUST for all GoPro users. I didn't consider purchasing until the associate strongly encouraged me to do so and honestly it was the best information I received. I can't imagine anyone taking their GoPro in the water without it!!!

I lost my GoPro despite having this. You should absolutely have this on anytime you're in the water. My only gripe is that it makes the camera bulky and you can't use some attachments (like the head strap mount, which is what I was using thinking it wouldn't fall of my head on the river). But always, always, always use this device when in the water; no matter what. It works great and easy to put on a back door (for the camera)

The floaty backdoor worked great on the GoPro. It would best be used as a precaution for dropping it in the water vs. using it to take pictures underwater if you have the LCD screen on since you can't see the pictures with it on.

Great in water. Able to see on water. Device float like it should. Since this is clearance item, it is best to grab one or 2 if you own a gopro camera. This item will be discontinue. While gopro stock price maybe plunge, we don't know what's in the future for gopro. All of gopro line have different series from Hero to Hero 5. What is the next gopro going to be? It is time to stock up while you can get the best price in town or online. This apply to those enjoy gopro action camera.

I bought this to put on my camera for when I go kayaking or any other potential water activity. It's nice to know that IF the quiuckmount or suction cup does come loose the camera will float and protect my camera for me.

I used the floaty backdoor while snorkeling in the Caribbean with my GoPro. Though it adds considerable bulk to the GoPro, the safety and assurance of knowing that it would float if I dropped it was well worth it.

The float attached easily and allowed us to utilize the Go Pro to its fullest without worrying about losing it. I would recommend this float for anyone using their GO Pro surfing, river rafting or snorkeling.

Anyone questioning if the item will work, don't. My GoPro got knocked off the front of my kayak and managed to stay floating in the river until I was able to retrieve it. Well worth the money to save your GoPro!

I bought this floaty for my gopro because I do a lot of filming over water. I have dropped a gopro while filming in a lake and luckily I was able to find it by diving to the bottom, which was only about 12 feet down. If I had dropped it any deeper I would have never seen it again. Since owning this floaty, I have dropped my gopro two more times without a care in the world. It literally floats right on top of the water and with it being bright orange, it's impossible to miss. Definitely worth the money.

Works very well in the water--doesn't sink and easy to spot

This product is amazing, especially if you spend a lot of time on the water. if your GoPro drops, you can see it from a mile away with this thing on it!

have used kayaking and in the ocean! it's great to be able to use my GoPro in the water without concern that it will be damaged or accidentally sink and be lost. perfect for people that enjoy water sports!

I used this with the suction cup while paddleboarding and luckily the camera didn't fall off. I didn't have the chance to test the floater in the ocean, but it did its job when I tested it in the bathtub.

Was told to use this because I had planned to be in the ocean with my GoPro. So happy I made this purchase because I actually did lose my grip while in the water! Sure enough, my GoPro floated up to the top!

Unless you plan on using a chest strap underwater, or securing the GoPro to your body, this is a necessity. Yeah, it's big and ugly, but hey, it'll save you $500 if you drop your GoPro in the ocean.

I ordered this Floaty so that when we use our GoPro 3 we don't lose it in the middle of the ocean somewhere. I would trust this to bring snorkeling in the Caribbean. I am very pleased with the product.

My son hasn't dropped his GoPro yet ... but him being very active and taking his GoPro equipment everywhere with him, I'm sure he'll be able to spot this IF it falls off him into the water.

This does exactly what it is designed to do. Prevents your GoPro from sinking to the bottomless abyss of whatever body of water you are in when you drop it or it falls off your homemade wristhousing.
