For a entry level action camera, it is amazing. I think this camera is amazing for the ones who have families and do light action stuff. It does all the things I need it to do. The picture quality is great 5mp is enough for me (even though i would love to have a 4k one for my Sony 4k tv). The superview setting is awesome and you can see the difference. The 1080p 30fps settings are great clear picture and just like the 720p 60fps and 720p 30fps are also clear. The sound quality is great as well. Small and compact. The first real use i had was going paintballing and it did great as a first person shooter.

I'm extremely impressed with the size, weight and the outstanding video quality this camera produces. I use it for my mountain bike and surfboard.

Went to Kauai for Spring Break and my two boys (8 & 10) had a blast using this! So easy and the videos are PRICELESS. I originally bought it because I knew we were going ziplining and thought that would be amazing (which it was!) but we had so much fun with it the whole trip! DEFINITELY worth the $$$!

Despite not having a screen with the camera it is still an amazing product. The quality of the video and pictures is very high. With all the accessories available you can use this camera to capture just about anything your heart desires. If you are looking for a GoPro camera that has a reasonable price and great quality you can't go wrong with this one.

With the suction cup, attaching it to the windshield of my Harley was easy. Then I went across 8 states, videoing along the way. Great video, not too much vibration, and I've got a super shot of a deer's rear as he crossed the road right in front of me :) Easy to use, I highly recommend this camera.

This camera is affordable and delivers pretty good quality. I went with the regular HERO because it is my first GoPro and I wanted to start basic. I just used it for Fishing/Snorkeling/Scuba Diving and was impressed! I took both videos and pictures. Settings are not too hard to get used to either.

I bought this as a gift for my preteen who plays soccer. This is a great starter camera if you need HD video but not at the 4K quality. It records a very sharp picture and there's a large assortment of Go Pro and 3rd party accessory mounts available. Good price to value ratio. The one knock on this unit is that I would recommend opting to spend a few more bucks and get the model that has WiFi built in. The added flexibility it provides is well worth it.

Gopro is the leader in the action camera market and everything they make is top quality. I have been using gopro cameras since the first hero hd. This camera is an excellent entry level cam with the gopro quality and support at a very reasonable price point. You can't go wrong with gopro.

Very simple control and operation. Not great sound with the waterproof case, but what did you expect for a waterproof case. Good instructions and intuitive controls. If you read the instructions you will find this a great product. If you don't read the instructions, you might have a little trouble. Settings are everything. It is not shipped in its highest resolution setting.

Very good camera, it was a gift for my son and he has enjoyed it. Excellent quality, and the added bonus of being waterproof just makes it that more appealing. He has taken it with him everywhere and is constantly taking photos and creating new memories. I have recommended this camera to a few friends already.

Bought this to use while scuba diving in Spain. Excellent quality of video underwater. Long battery life before needing to recharge. Although this is the cheaper version of the camera, it has the the same resolution as the the more expensive models. Just doesn't have the bells and whistles, which I did not need. I would absolutely recommend this camera.

Bought this for my 11 year old son. He really loves it. The picture quality is good. You will need accessories, you can look at Amazon for those. You will need a Micro SD card to get the most recording time. It is waterproof great for skiing and other activities. And for the price perfect for kids and wont break your budget if it gets broken.

I needed a camera for mainly still video shooting and not much else. I figured this would work over a standard camcorder and it has not disappointed. The HD video and wide-angle lenses makes it easy to capture great video. A great price level and easy to use makes this a no brainier. This ones does not have a LCD preview screen like a more expensive model, but that was not a deal breaker for me.

Great camera for video purposes, nice pictures too but the video is superior. I recommend this to anyone looking into buying a Gopro. Cheap enough you can snag some accessories with your camera purchase.

We used our go-pro on a night dive. My husband was trying to get the camera ready on the way to the dive site - but since the screen remains black while filming, we were not aware that we somehow had a rapid photo feature instead of video on. Our other underwater camera always has the video showing on the display - so you know you're filming - wish this camera did that too. Otherwise - we've gotten great quality video.

Never having used a go pro, I got this to test the proverbial waters of goproing. LOVE IT. So many things can be done with this simple to use go pro. In and out of vehicle shots look awesome and the video is equally great! Only thing is, to start recording camera must be physically started. I am already planning the purchase of my next go pro that will be remotable and I will use this one for close to my person shots

My son saved his $ to buy this. He's wanted it for almost a year. He loves it. He's able to ride his bike, scooter and skate board using the head mount and upload his videos on YouTube. The only complaint he's had is he wishes it had a screen on back to replay video b4 having to upload on computer. My son is 8 years old and can work it better then me lol He also uses it when we go hiking.
