It's simple to operate, waterproof, inexpensive, and this package came with a handle and a memory card. It's not the high spec'd version, but it offers what we want for the price.

Bought this camera for the kids to use in and around the pool, where they spend a lot of time in the summer. I like the compact size and the wide angle lense which somewhat makes up for no display screen. I have not yet down loaded the app that allows you to view your focal point through your phone. It is definitely a cool camera for hands off recording and the picture is surprisingly crisp.

I bought this a Christmas gift for my January bride to-be and she wants an action waterproof camera to take pictures in the water. It came with the floating stick which is a plus just in case and a starter memory card. Nice bundle to get what you need at nice price!!! Haven't tested it out yet but reviews on this GoPro small video camera are right up our alley for our trip in January to Costa Rica.

Bought this for my wife for use on her car when we do track days. In the past we've had to share one GoPro or borrow one from someone else for her if we're on track at the same time. Our son has a Hero Session and we love the compact size and ease of use. The video is good as well. Good value for the price.

My 11 and 13 year old sons are having so much fun recording all of their trampoline/scooter/pogo stick adventures! This camera is small, lightweight and easy to use. The editing app is also super easy to use and a must to make exciting YouTube videos.

Love the fact that it does not need an extra case to go underwater. Great video color and saturation for such a small camera. Wish it had some sort of input display besides phone. Great camera for the price.

I have a GoPro Hero2 and have loved it, but they have come so far! The simplicity of the HeroSession makes it a great action camera. It is easy to use, especially now that you don't need different housings for waterproof and better sound. The only downfall is that you can't change out the battery. You only get about 2hrs of battery before you have to spend 45mins+ recharging. You can charge on the fly with a back up battery, but lose the waterproofing on the charge/memory door. Great product for the amateur and novice. If you are really into shooting the action, save your money and buy the Hero5.

I purchased this camera as my first "action cam". It really is small and looks well made. I've only used if for a couple of hours mainly to familiarize the functionalities. It takes a while to get used to switching from different modes but once you get the hang of it then it feels like using your smartphone camera. The app is neat and lets you control the gopro. I can tell that there were instances when it would take a while before i can connect the camera to my smartphone but it is more of me being impatient. This is definitely worth the $179 i paid.

My 9 year old and I love this camera. Easy to use. Takes great footage and it never seems to be out of focus. Great price for a great camera.

First time to jump into black Friday sale, and I've been waiting for the session to come down to $200. This was on sale for about $180 bundled with floating handle and head strap--can't resist the discount. For what I will use this for as dashcam and mounted on guitar headstock, I can do away with a screen and 4k capability. I'm perfectly fine on 1080p 60fps, middling video quality but can be improved with protune or editing. Waterproof without the weird casing and rugged, the preview app on the phone make sense!

Camera was bought as a gift for fiancé. He loves the small compact size and waterproof. Picture quality is good too.

I purchased this as a Christmas present for my youngest son (8). We also purchased another one without the handle for our daughter (15) who snowboards. They both love their cameras. They are easy to use for both kids. The video is great, love the wide view. I would recommend getting the handle unless your going to put it right onto a body mount, bike mount, or helmet mount. It's so small holding it by itself is hard. The app works great on the iPad and iPhone.

I was excited to get this on Black Friday with the SD card and the Handler as I have been looking for a floating handle for a while. If you purchase The Handler from GoPro as a separate accessory, it also comes with a special tool that helps tighten down GoPro screws. I was disappointed that this combo deal doesn't actually include The Tool. Fortunately, they're only about $5 from GoPro but it would be nice to know that it isn't included, at least so people are aware. The camera itself is nice and compact compared to their other ones. Nice for mounting on your helmet or other locations where a smaller size is preferred.

Great go pro for the price and what comes with the package. However when exiting water the sound can sound a bit distorted but eventually clears up.

Good product but due to size is really difficult to use, ended up buying a remote for $79 which basically brought the price up for the cam and accessories. Does not work well with phone app, loses wifi connectivity and use up phone battery. I definitely will not recommend. I like the old hero 3 silver better, besides who really needs 4k, I am no pro so the 1080 works just fine.

Sleek new design. Smaller than the regular Gopro. Picture is crystal clear.

Used this set on a Hawaii trip and a trip to New Jersey while snorkeling, walking up a trail, and in the city. It's very simple to use although sometimes it's weird not having a screen to see what your recording or taking a picture of and using my cell phone can be kind of cumbersome. All in all, very nice footage and practicality at this price point!
