I’ve been wanted a GoPro for a while since GoPro 7 come out. I’ve been waited until GoPro 10 and I make a decision to buy one. The GoPro is very simple to use. The video quality is top notch. One minus thing was when I first turn on the GoPro and tried to pair with Quik app. It’s keep lost connection with Quik app. I’ve tried may times, but it didn’t work. Then I turn off the GoPro and the GoPro was stuck on Power Off mode. I was in panic mode! Then I opened battery cover removed a battery then reinsert the battery. And turn on the GoPro this time it’s paired with Quik app and updated the firmware. Everything are working fine. The GoPro is made for many purposes. Top notch camera! I highly recommend!

A good action camera with a few drawbacks. Battery life isn’t the greatest but the video quality is definitely amazing. I needed a camera with good video quality and stabilization to use on hikes and this fits the bill. Just make sure to be wary of your battery life, and you may want to buy extra batteries if you want to use it heavily.

I own a 4 different Go Pros (Hero 4,8,10,11) that I use to "film" vintage RC cars racing around a backyard track. Was excited to get the latest tech (at the time). Fairly disappointed with the overheating issue while shooting 4k outside in the summer. The 8 was rock solid with not many issues at all. No updates have fixed this issue btw. I have to dip it in the pool or take it into the AC on hot day in between takes. Video is amazing would be good for mild climates/winter sports.

Excellent entry into action cameras. I use it for various outdoor activities and have also used it for Timelapses at night as well. The quality is impressive for such a small package, and it feels very durable. I’ve taken it in the water, know it will handle the rain, and the accessories are endless to customize my camera for whatever adventure lies ahead. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! A huge step up from my GoPro 7s. I use these to take underwater pics, and being to video at 4K and 120fps is the real deal! Also, the screen is bigger, and you can actually see what’s in front of the camera while you are underwater.

Overall I love the GoPro Hero10. The amount of features and technology they put into such a small package is impressive. There is one issue I have found so far while using it, the same issue several other people have had, is the overheating. I'm a climbing arborist and I use GoPros to document my work and jobsite. When I am up in a tree exposed to sun for hours it does get hot and it's not the best conditions to be using a GoPro. On a side note, I have the Hero3+ Silver, the Hero5 Black, the Hero7 Black, the Hero8 Black and now the Hero10 Black. Only the Hero10 has the overheating issue. It hasn't happened a lot but, enough to be a bit frustrating. I knew about the issue when I invested in the Hero10 so I expected it and I amprepeared to "wok around it" when using the camera. And yes, I am using the Enduro batteries from GoPro. They do last longer and seem to not get the overheating issue as much. As I said, not too big a deal to me, the Hero10 overall is a great video camera for what I use it for. I strongly recommend as long as you are aware of the overheating issue.

GoPro or go home! This little camera packs a lot into it's small frame. Rugged video and picture capabilities that can be done effortlessly with a button or your voice. I captured a whole trip on this mighty warrior with no issues all in 5k. Now I need a new computer to read the awesomeness!

The GoPro Hero 10 Black is the company’s most recent addition to its action camera lineup. I’ve had a chance to spend almost eight weeks with the camera to find out if the on-page specs translate to real-world usage? Here’s what I loved about the Hero 10 while using it in my day-to-day life and short travels. The GoPro Hero 10 is much more responsive than the previous iterations of the camera. When I reviewed the Hero 8 and Hero 9, one of my biggest concerns was usability. While the functionality was amazing, the usability was not. Well, no more. Thanks to the new processor, the GoPro Hero 10’s usability is as good as its functionality. GoPro has finally done justice to its camera. Navigating through the interface feels on par with my iPhone’s camera app. The new camera was a joy to use, thanks to a more responsive interface. Amazing photos and slow-mo You might judge me for this, but I captured more photos with my Hero 10 than videos. As a challenge, I used only the GoPro device (and not my iPhone 12) when I went on a short trip to a craft bazaar called Delhi Haat in New Delhi. The GoPro Hero 10 can shoot full 23-megapixel still photos, and the results are impressive. In broad daylight, the Hero 10 captures bright and detailed shots with good dynamic range and great contrast. I loved using it as my main camera for photos. The super-duper slow-mo 240fps videos at 2.7K are also stunning. Speedier transfers “GP2 was specifically created to level up GoPro camera performance and cloud connectivity,” says GoPro. And it translates to real-life usage. I was able to transfer the 200-plus images that I had shot before I finished lunch – that’s a much better speed than the Hero 9. For the first time ever, you can also plug your GoPro directly into your phone for 50% faster uploads to your device. HyperSmooth 4.0 “[Hypersmooth 4.0 is] by far the best digital image stabilization I’ve ever used, and it truly did deliver results comparable to a mechanical gimbal in many circumstances,” reads our Hero 10 review. And, it is definitely the best in the business, in my opinion. Hypersmooth 4.0 allowed my footage to appear stabilized when I was running or even riding onmy back – holding the camera in my hands. You get no noticeable jitters, and the footage is usable for fun Instagram content. Moreover, you can use Hypersmooth 4.0 in 5.3K30 and 4K60. as well as 2.7K120. Plus, GoPro has worked on the Horizon Level tilt limit to increase it from 27 degrees to 45 degrees. It allows you to keep the horizon level till your camera turns more than 45 degrees. New hydrophobic lens cover GoPro Hero 10 front view. Andy Zahn / Digital Trends At the time of reviewing the GoPro Hero 9, I went on a trip to Mulki, India, near Mangalore, to surf. While surfing, you need to mount your camera at the front of the surfboard to capture unreal shots – waves forming over you, that superhero-landing pose on your board, and more. When I transferred the video to the Quick app on my phone, I noticed that the exact frame when I had my “unreal shot” was tainted by a drop of water. I haven’t gotten a chance to go surfing again, but I’m thankful for the new hydrophobic lens. It is going to get you those shots without any hiccups. And you won’t need to worry about a water droplet spoiling your shot. Backward compatibility with Hero 9 accessories One of the best parts of the GoPro Hero 10 is that it carries the same design as the Hero 9, despite the improvements. This translates to backward compatibility with Hero 9 accessories, especially the battery. On that Delhi Haat trip, I was in luck that I had my Hero 9 with me, so I was able to swap batteries when my Hero 10’s charge had run out. You can use all the Hero 9 accessories with your Hero 10. Quik app To make the most of your new GoPro, you need the Quick app, which ought to be your private content feed. It lets you use 25 filters and 18 royalty-free music tracks as standard. You can subscribe for more content with unlimited access (the subscription is worth it). Two things I hated GoPro Hero 10 tripod. Andy Zahn / Digital Trends The GoPro Hero 10 is the best camera yet from GoPro. But not all things will leave you satisfied. Here’s what I didn’t like about GoPro’s latest offering. Battery life One of the issues I’ve had with GoPro cameras is with their battery life. The camera doesn’t last the desired amount of time on a single charge. While this makes sense for GoPro from a business perspective — sell more batteries alongside the camera and thus, earn more money — it leaves the consumer frustrated. In my usage, when I was clicking pictures, it lasted me around four hours, despite me turning it off when it wasn’t in use. If you are recording videos, especially when shooting in 5.3K, you will require more than a single cell to get things done. Lowlight photos GoPro claims to have improved lowlight images with the help of the new GP2 processor, and the results are indeed better than onthe Hero 9. Theoretically, the new processor equips the sensor for local tone mapping and 3D noise reduction in its video algorithms. However, the results aren’t comparable to the lowlight photography of a modern-day smartphone. The images shot in low light are grainy with unwanted noise, and there’s a lot of smoothing.

I just took this on a diving trip to hit up some ship wrecks in Morehead City, North Carolina. I did some deep diving and had no real issues with it (it was in a protective case). The videos were clear and I was pretty happy with the battery life recording the entire dive. If I did 2 long dives, I should have switched out the battery in between though. Having the front and back panel displays was a huge step up from my gopro4. Even taking pictures from the video footage is pretty decent quality. I will link one below.

So far so good. I am still learning how to use it but having a go pro with a screen on both sides is definitely a game changer. I really love it and hope it lasts longer than the other ones I have had over the years (7 and 8) they both seemed to stop working after almost 2 years when attempting to charge them

Ever since I had purchased the GoPro Hero8 I become a fan. I loved the 4K video, image quality, stabilization, and mainly the size and how rugged these cameras are. I just love how compact these cameras are and you can basically use them anywhere and attach them to pretty much anything you want. You can take these cameras underwater, on the road, and even to the sky. GoPro cameras are extremely durable and waterproof. Unfortunately, I lost my Hero8 attached to a drone and flying over the lake and long story short, it’s now swimming with the fishes along with my drone. So, I was super excited when I got the chance to try out new GoPro Hero10 and this time I won’t be flying over lakes. So, lets go over the features, Pros and Cons on the New GoPro Hero10. Setup: The setup process for the Gopro Hero10 is actually very simple, all you need to do is download the GoPro Quik application. Once the application is downloaded it will guide you through the setup process and even updating the camera. The camera needs to be updated before it can be used. At this point the camera is ready to go on your next adventure. You can use the preset modes or take some time and setup a custom mode that that works for you. Features: GoPro Hero 10 comes with a couple of new and cool upgrades from the 8. The 10 now has 5.3K 60FPS and 4K 120 FPS recording along with Hyper smooth 4.0 with three different settings, Boost, High and OFF. The Hero 10 also has a new processor “GP2” and much more responsive touchscreen. The camera lens cover is more scratch and splash resistant. The camera has two buttons, Power and mode on the left, which turn the power on and allow you to toggle though the different video and photo modes. The button on the top serves as the button. There is also a front facing screen on the Hero10 which can be used to display information or match the rear screen for better selfies. The Hero10 comes preset with different shooting modes while also allowing you to create custom ones as well. Another cool feature in the Hero10 is the voice control. You can take pictures, record videos, change between modes, and start time lapses all with just a simple command and I found it to be highly convenient and useful. Usage: So, I decided to attach my GoPro to my bike and take a ride around my neighborhood to test out the video stabilization and 5K video quality. I did some recording in 5K and 4K and did notice that the battery on the GoPro does drain faster compared to recording on the 4k. The hyper smooth 4.0 performed amazing well in keeping the video smooth and stabilized. The difference between the 5K and 4K image quality is minor but noticeable. The image and the videos seemed a bit more vibrant than those shot in the 4K mode. The microphone on the camera did an amazing job filtering out the wind noise from the video while riding around. The options and settings are pretty easy to use. The app allows for live view and control from the phone also allowing you to transfer pictures or video to your phone via WIFI. GoPro has done and amazing job packing this pocket size camera with so much tech all while making this durable and waterproof. PROS: 23 MP SENSOR 5K 60FPS and 4K 120FPS HYPERSMOOTH 4.0 FASTER RESPONSE TIME (COMPARED TO 8) REPONSIVE TOUCHCREEN LIGHTWEIGHT DURABLE AND WATERPROOF POCKETSIZE VOICE COMMANDS FOR PICTURES AND VIDEOS TONS OF DIFFERENT ACCESSORIES AND MOUNTS CONS: I HONESTLY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING THAT I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH. Overall, GoPro has been doing job with the HERO10. They have packed so much technology and durability into such a tiny little package that it still amazes me. I would recommend that you try out this camera for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
