Good quality, easy to use, amazing picture Still shots only good in well lit areas. Video picks up everything though

This was my first GoPro purchase and I'm now a fan. If you don't know GoPro you may think for the size it's probably not that great, but once you take your first outdoor photo, you'll quickly notice how powerful of a sensor this camera has. It's the perfect camera for outdoor shots grabbing spectacular color, clarity, and light. Keep in mind that if you use it for videos on 720p/1080p 60fps and higher resolution settings, that the files are pretty big so be sure to purchase a big enough memory card with a fast bit rate. Also remember the same for the computer you edit your videos on. I would also recommend buying the LCD screen accessory with a few extra batteries. It's definitely helpful to have a good selfie stick and body harnesses etc based on what you intend to use your GoPro for. For me it has been the perfect companion even when I'm working on a professional production, for both those hard to reach or tight places shots, or just to get cool looking behind the scenes footage. You can always find a good use for a camera of this size and power. It's definitely a BEST BUY (pun intended). LOL

This was our first GoPro and we really like the quality of videos it produces. However there are some downsides for shooting high quality videos. The battery life is not great, you would want to carry an extra as a backup if you're planning to use it for a trip. Using as smartphone as a remote can be difficult to setup sometimes and could be implemented better. Not having an included touch screen or smart remote for the price you're paying is something to consider when buying it.

Awesome camera. Great 4K video for a great price. Very easy to use, intuitive menu and great resolution in camera mode.

The GoPro Hero4 is a blast, easy to use and already 4k ready. Video quality is great and it works great as a camera as well.

I purchased the GoPro 4 for my brother who is not a high tech kind of guy. We recently bought Kawasaki Jet Skis and are anticipating a happening summer on the lake with the Jet Skis, water skiing, wake boarding, and tubing. He is excited to receive the product and has already played with the camera and the accessories so that he'll be able to use it extensively this summer on the water. He is a photographer with other types of cameras but this will be his first GoPro experience.

I have owned the original GoPro, the GoPro Silver Plus and now the new GoPro Black. I wanted the new Black version to be able to capture video in 4K / Ultra HD format. This ca,era is amazing and provide stunning videos and the new sound it captures is a huge upgrade. Plus the time laps feature along with the night shot mode make it a great buy for what you get all in one camera. Great quality and so many add-ons available you can't go wrong. Go buy this camera now before they are sold out.

The Hero4 has amazing picture and video quality with ease of use and multiple options to customize the camera settings.

The camera takes great photos and video. It is really handy to be able to operate it from your cell phone. The only thing I wish it had was a zooming feature, but the picture is so clear you can almost edit in whatever sort of zoom you would want. The sound from its built in microphone is also very respectable.

I was able to film hunting trips like never before. The angles I was able to get was a much better quality than an average camera. Set up was easy to understand, and the step by step was helpful.

I would highly recommend the Hero4 Black for all. Even if you’re not a pro-level shooter, or adept at color grading, the ability to capture motion in glorious 4K is a worthy investment since your footage will eventually live online from here out. It’s always better to downscale footage now than upscale it in the future.

Great camera! Added an LCD which was great but drains the battery life very quickly. I would make this purchase again.

The GoPro4 has made huge leaps and bounds over the 3; great quality and easy to use. Works great with the App as well.

Got this as a Christmas gift, and I quite like it. The design of the camera is simple with very few buttons, and not even a color display. It has an 1980s Black LCD display. They haven't even included a proper USB charger (just the cable is included). So I'm hoping all the expense went towards the hardware quality, good sensor, strong body, and image processing quality. I have used the camera to record a kids' basketball game and the video quality was really good. I used 1080p not 4K. Have to use the camera for some action sports, but so far it appears like it may have been a good investment. BTW, I just used a 64GB Sandisk Class 10 card, not a high end PRO type card - seems to work fine.

Awesome little camera. I can't always take my dslr with me so the gopro does it's best to get the shots I need.

I cannot say enough good things about the GoPro Hero 4. We bought it before taking a cross-country road trip, and we are SO happy we did. The pictures we took are just incredible. I will say that you need an ample amount of sunlight for a clear picture. Video quality is amazing. When the GoPro is in its waterproof case, the audio is not great. We were so glad we made this purchase to document our trip. It has helped capture the memories we will cherish for a lifetime!

I bought this camera for underwater video on a recent trip to soloman islands. I had a gopro3+ black but had seen some gopro4 silver footage and decided to invest in an upgrade for this once in a lifetime trip. I was very impressed with the video I was able to capture..it was almost too good, even the tiny sand particles in the water were visible. I did have trouble with viewing the footage I took in 4K because my laptop was too slow to process it. great camera for HD
