I bought this because of the 4k video, very small and light weight. It is easy to pack in my backpack for backpacking in the back country with the kids. I want 4k video so in 10 years when we watch them, the quality is really good. Since my oldest son and I will be at Philmont Scount Ranch this summer, I also wanted to have more high quality video of the activities to show at Court of Honor than in previous years (what was take previous was from cell phones or other cameras and the quality was not great). Since for most of us this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, keeping the good memories alive and able to share with others is my goal.

Really good for Outdoor adventure. Excellent cam for low light conditions. Wished it had a wifi remote. Its small & light & excellent resolution

My biggest problem with my GoPro Hero4 Black is the same problem I have with my GoPro Hero3: I can't always depend on it. I think the reason is that the cameras overheat and then shutdown. I often use my GoPros when I go flying. Today was a good example: the camera worked great on the outbound trip. Back at my home airport, I discovered that the camera had failed to record the last few minutes of the 50 minute return flight (the battery was showing more than half and over an hour of record time left on the memory card). The temperature inside the airplane was around 60F and I was using GoPro's Skeleton housing. Despite this, mount the camera on the windshield and even with the cool temperatures (and shade) my Hero3 and Hero4 will shutdown.

This camera is great for all types of uses. Its great by the pool and on hikes, mountain biking, and at the beach. Its so handy and has every kind of mount that makes it easy to use every day. Its very small so its easy to take with you everywhere. The picture and video quality is stunning. It has many different settings to meet every need. The i/o device app and software are nice too. I also use mine as a dashboard cam in my car.

Picture and video quality is amazing. I love all the different features. compact size allows you to mount this camera just about anywhere.

The camera overheats too fast in the waterproof case in Phoenix. I do a lot of kayaking and I'm constantly waiting for it to cool down. The battery life is also horrible. I find myself switching batteries every hour or less (I have 4 extra batteries and a battery backpack). Other then that the images it produces are fantastic and it's easy to use.

I bought this camera but I returned it and exchange it with a gopro4 silver cause it has no back screen and the battery life doesn't last longer. Other than that the picture quality is way better than the silver.

Picture is phenomenal user-friendly I need to purchase the remote. Remember to buy extra batteries they die fast

Great on everything but the battery, I had to get extra battery and external battery charger which also included additional battery so now I have extra 2 battery. Carefree using my phone wifi Asa remote which really drains the battery super fast. My computer couldnt handle a simple 1080p it's that good for the video image! Now save up for a better computer to edit videos.

Go Pro offers so much in a little package. I took it right out of the box and started capturing my experiences. There are definitely some accessories that you will need to pick up along the way to improve your time, but for an active lifestyle, this is the perfect camera. The only negative I have on these cameras is the battery life. I hear that this will be resolved with the next model, but I hope they figure something out for all of the previous models.

The GoPro Hero 4 Black is the best action camera anyone can buy. It is easy to use and can get amazing unique shots. I'm not much of an extreme sports guy but I use this in pretty much anything I do including fun runs. I used this during my 5K and got some amazing shots. I also have used this GoPro on my trampoline and go incredible shots as well. I recommend this product to anyone who wants to get some cool and crystal clear videos in their everyday life.

great camera, 4k picture, bad part is that it didn't come with a screen, battery doesn't last long either

I keep finding uses for this camera. In-flight videos in my plane, video of my nieces showing their heifers in the stock show are just a couple of examples of how I've used this little camera.

Although this is my 1st gopro camera I am very tech savvy. I have always used DSLR's and decided to take the gopro plunge due to the hype and my love for the outdoors. They made this product exceptionally easy to use even though the video editing is a little different then what I was used to. Now I would not trade this camera for anything. I use it for mountain biking, paddleboarding, dash cam in my truck, & hope to use it for rock climbing soon.

crazy how tiny this thig really is, takes wondeful pictures, many great features, great all around

This is hands down the best camera I have ever had. You can take this thing anywhere! And don't think that just because it's an action camera that that is all it can be used for, I used this camera to film everything from skateboarding to capturing my daughters first steps. The quality of the 4k resolution is awe inspiring and the 1080 at 120fps will give you goosebumps. If you don't have this camera you are missing out.

My fiance and I have been wanting to get a GoPro for awhile and we saw Best Buy had a deal so we went for it. We weren't sure whether to get the Silver edition since it has a screen on it or the Black edition with all the features but no screen. We decided to go with the Black edition and we are not disappointed. The GoPro links easily to our phones, we can use a selfie stick with it, and the pictures and videos come out GREAT! My brother bought the Silver and it is a great choice as well but if you need it for higher quality pictures and numerous features, I recommend the Black Edition.

I love this camera so much. It's been with me everywhere I go lately. I love how portable it is. I can just put it in my backpack and pull it out and quickly capture something. The only inconvenience I have had with it is the battery life and the heat produced when recording in 4K. However, GoPro does say that it's normal for the device to be a bit warm when it's recording in 4K. But besides that, love it!

My daughter wanted the goPro for Christmas 2014. I looked and looked to find some reduced prices on this item. I did find a little benefit at Best Buy, with a package deal. This cam is very small and She tells me it is quite easy to use. She will learn all there is to using it, I'm quite sure, so she can share her truck driving experiences with us (family). Nice, fun, and very interesting

Did you need yet another GoPro? Me neither. But the 4 is smaller and in my opinion has a better interface. You will need new batteries (the Hero3 batteries will not even come close to fitting) and some new accessories, but the mounts all are still the same. The camera does seem to react quicker than earlier versions, and the advanced recording levels are as advertised. Have fun!
