The primary reason I got the Hero4 Black was for its 4K video feature, as I was hiking in the Grand Tetons and wanted the best quality memories. It has so many features, and the wifi connection with my phone makes it super easy to flip through the GoPro settings and take photos/videos from my iPhone. (The GoPro emits its own wifi signal to use, so this feature works in even the most remote areas out of cell range. No, you can not use Internet.) Post-hiking, I've been able to use my Hero4 Black to capture some pretty great time-lapse videos of sunrises/sunsets, cloud patterns, etc. The nighttime shutter settings (which range from a couple of seconds up to 30 seconds) also provide some excellent photos of the night sky in low-light areas... Coupled with some good editing software, experienced photographers could definitely pull some good quality star photos. The only drawback that I've found so far with the GoPro Hero4 Black is its battery life, which depletes a little faster than I would hope for... Of course, I use the 4K superview video setting often, so this makes sense. It's definitely a worthy investment to purchase multiple batteries to swap out in case one gets low.

This camera is small and powerful. I noticed that the battery life shooting 4K video is short, so be sure to get the battery extension for it if you are going to be shooting a lot of 4K.

I really enjoy this camcorder the more I dig in and learn how it operates the better my videos become. So small and compact that it can fit almost anywhere and become unnoticeable.

What more could be said about the GoPro line that hasn't already been said. This was given to me as a birthday gift and I have used it about every chance I get. It has been underwater at the beach, on my helmet while I ride my motorcycle, I have used it to record actions around my house and so many more. Outside of the price point and the fact that every year they release another camera so you won't have the latest and greatest, this is a great buy. I like the silver over the black because you are able to change the settings on the camera without going into your phone on the GoPro app.

love my gopro hero4 black edition!! i highly recomend anyone who does adventurous things or if you just want a really good camera/video to get this. pricey yes but soooo worth it.

Only used it once. Captured perfect moments with my son. Easy to use and the picture and video quality is amazing. 8 year old son already knows how to use it better then me.

The camera dosen't have a huge learning curve. Its very simular to the 3+ with more added great features. I have not had the oppotunity yet to use it in low light conditions, but I am sure like all the other upgrades, it will perform well. The video that I have shot with it, has turned out exceptionally well. I've used the 4K with good results.

My first GoPro and I'm really happy. Quality of images is super at 4K. They just need to solve the battery capacity issue. Third parties are working on it with larger batteries.

This is an upgrade but battery life is short with Bluetooth on. Make sure to get extra batteries. Haven't tried it underwater yet but so far good reliable, durable product that delivers high quality video.

Used while snorkling, riding a side by side atv, while fishing, shooting archery and flying around in my drone. Enough options for nearly every shot you want to get. Building a portfolio and hope to use the Hero4 for professional use. I have both the Hero2 and the Hero3+, and still use them regularly, but couldnt pass up the first action cam with 4K video. Not a downside, i just wasnt aware, that the 4K video was only in Wide view. No options for Medium or Narrow. This Hero4 has withstood a drone crash without housing, loosing a mount off a bike, and a quick drop in shallow water as i was changing a battery. Love it!!

Really great camera plus the editing software for the GoPro is very user friendly for someone who isn't good with computers. I made my first YouTube video with no problems.

Didn't know when you by a Hero 4 Black, that you had to go back and by a screen so you can see what your shooting. How dumb. Then you have to buy another back door to seal the water out. You can't mount the camera to a tripod with out the plastic case. You have to go back and buy a cage, This thing is as expensive as any Canon or Nikon out there. More expensive when you have to keep going back for all the pieces to make it work.

Awesome video quality. But if you plan on recording videos over an hour the backup battery and a couple spares are a must.

The Hero4 worked perfect for our adventures while in the Caribbean; ziplining, scuba diving, rock climbing, and more! The picture looks amazing and so easy to use!

This little champ is waterproof and indestructible in its case and it takes amazingly sharp pics and videos. Can't wait to take it on my land/sea vacation in Alaska!!

This Is A Cool Camera The Video And All The Different Places To Shot Video. I Like It The Most Of Going Scoop a Diving And Just Being Compacted And Easy To Handle

I loved this camera. It is one of the best cameras I have to do action shots and slow motion looks. 4k resolution makes the footage even better. I use it for wide shots of action and events I go to. I also use it for underwater adventures. great for night shots and with the new upgrades it even has 6400 ISO. I love this camera and would recommend this to everyone to buy it especially at best buy!

The Hero4 Black was fantastic, its an amazing camera, but I returned it after the first day with it and exchanged it for the SILVER edition. Video Quality, picture and build was amazing, there is a reason why this line continues on, and it is worth the price especially now that the 5 has been released. I chose to exchange for 3 reasons, 1. The silver has a touch screen which makes it easier to use, i.e setting up shots, changing settings, etc. Just makes it more practicle for what I want to use it for. Live Events and Vlogs. 2. The Hero4 Black runs HOT, i don't know how this effects the camera in the long run, but that was one of my main worries. I was scared that taking long shots would drastically shorten the life of the camera from getting as hot as it does. 3. I dont need 4k Video. Yes the 3 shots 4K video at 15fps, but thats basically worthless. For what I want, but more importantly I don't have a 4K monitor nor do i have a computer that can handle 4k video editing. So, 2.7K is all I will need for now, but that's really only so i can push in during post, but even that slows my computer WAY down. In the end I decided so save a few dollars and get the Silver, but IF you want 4K video and have hardware that supports it I still recommend the Black.

This product is easy to use due to the app for your smartphone or tablet. The many accessories make it extremely versitile. The video and pictures are amazing.

This has been very easy to use. It uses batteries quickly but has been a great addition for us. A great product and very easy to use via your phone app.
