Very inexpensive

Nice having a backup, but is limited.

Got more footage than would have on one battery. The problem with all GoPro batteries is the fact that they don't last very long. This battery also doesn't allow you to charge it unless the battery is in the camera. You can by the battery pak, which will charge when not attached. Unfortunately that's not a solution if you want to use the attached LCD.
