UI so much improved in such a tiny space. the quality of the 4k is impressive and the time lapse feature, plus night mode are just amazing. took it for a spin in NY city and the results were amazing. Easy to use and the remote control is just a plus that integrates convenience and technology in one stop shop.

No assembling is required. The instructions are easy. The remote makes filming while skiing a lot safer when the camera is attached to your body or helmet. The controls are simple and the size of the buttons makes filming or taking pictures convenient while wearing gloves.

My main reason for purchasing this remote was for skiing. It is much easy to stop and start recording with the remote then trying to find the button when it's on your helmet . Only problem is running your wifi all day drains the battery quickly so look at buying a backup batter for the GoPro as well.

Is remote works great. Syncing the gopro and the the remote is quick and painless. The gopro app on my phone works but i noticed on my last trip that i ran my phone battery down staying connected to the gopro. With the remote i had all the controls out having to touch the go pro....

The remote is a must have accessory. You can use your phone but the remote is much easier and compact, and does all the functions you need. Its also easy to strap on while doing sports or activities and not worry about your bulky phone. Its a must have

i recently traveled to the Caribbean in August and wasn't sure if the gopro itself was enough, I went ahead and bought the gopro remote and absolutely loved it! This gadget has an integrated wifi function that is compatible with all the recent gopro cameras except the first 3 generations. It did malfunction a few times but I believe it's because of the depth that I was scuba diving in that it wouldn't reach that deep, overall it did its main purpose and I was able to enjoy my trip to the max with it. I strongly recommend it to those who are looking into buying one. Yes it may be pricey but it's worth the purchase, especially if you want to capture that perfect shot or video! The picture attached was during the sunrise on my last day at the resort, I used the gopro remote to change the features in between sessions so I could get the best of both 4K videos and photographs.

Pricey...but has positive qualities. It easily syncs with and controls my GPH4 Black. Yes, the iPhone app can also connect AND control AND preview GP cameras but sometimes it takes some effort to get it to sync. Trying to sync the app to the camera became so tedious at times that I finally decided to cough up the $80 for the smart remote. The app is perfect for framing photos and videos especially for a big family selfie or landscape shots. The smart remote has its advantages when you don't want to have your iPhone slip through your hands while capturing action packed activities. The remote has a sturdy build and feels like a quality product when you hold it. Does what it is supposed to do unless the GP camera is underwater.

Bought this with the intention of syncing 2 go-pros together but never got the first one to even charge up, so I had to exchange it for a new one and I haven't tried it yet. I'm giving this 3 stars because it has the potential to really be helpful IF I can ever get it to keep a charge. I also own the original remote go-pro made (purchased about 3 years ago with my hero 3) but wanted to replace it with this one... I hope the battery in this one lasts longer than that one does, which never lasts more than 15 minutes...

I found this device to be the right size. I have the Hero 3+ and needed to read and test the functions a little longer than I expected. All works as I had hoped. A bit pricey but worth it.

It was easy to link up with the GoPro camera. Charge doesn't last that long but if you have a portable charger, you can charge it while you are taking a little break or something.

Used it to connect my 2 cameras during Coachella. Easy to use. Range is decent and definitely a plus to not have to reach for your camera to change settings every time

This is my second remote. This updated unit seems to be a much better one than the first one I purchased. It takes a long time to charge but when fully charged it will last through a complete battery charge of the camera. Be careful not to turn both camera and remote off for to long a period of time or you will have to re-pair the remote with the camera. This is a problem when a great photo shoot presents its self, this is a great remote that make a great camera even better.

I really like this camera you don't have to worry about getting it wet, You can take it anywhere and it takes great moving and still pictures and videos.

Because you can't take your cellphone everywhere with you; I love this waterproof gopro remote. I can also change the settings on my hero4. Easy to use.

This is a must have accessory for the go pro. I recently purchased the Hero 4 Silver and tried out the app for a few weeks and hated it. Its lags, has trouble connecting and always shuts off after a few minutes. The remote is so great! Is connects quickly and easily. If you use a pole to take photos, its such a hassle to reach out adjust settings and take a photo while its on the pole. Using the remote is great and this one allows you to adjust settings from it as well! The price is high but its worth the cost cause it really does make taking photos so much easier.

This device is great for remotely snapping videos and pictures. The remote is waterproof but did not connect well with the camera while under water.

There is nothing amazing about this remote but i don't think anyone is expecting much. The distance is far enough and the battery last as long or longer than the camera. Its waterproof so no need to worry about rain. Note the signal is lost when submerged in water so there is no use when diving. Overall it works great and is a must for most activities.

It records wonderful videos. I purchased it to put on my SxS and the quality didn't disappoint me. It's a little pricey.

The new remote allows for better control over your recordings. I ride motorcycles and this makes taking road memories a lot easier.

Canera is small enough to fit in your pocket or purse. It shows clearly and records like a camcorder. My son loves it because it is waterproof and he can put it underwater. We can't wait to go on vacation with it.
