Great story of how Gotham City was before Bruce Wayne grows up and what help shapes his views on justice and honor. Focus is primarily on Detective Gordon and his struggles with the corruption both within and outside the GCPD, as well as future Batman villains. I highly recommend this for any interested in learning the events that help shape the future leaders of Gotham.

I didn't pick this up when it was first released in September so I missed the bonus disc at a discount. I figured when this version went on sale, I'd be able to price match or get the BB Exclusive for the same $20 price the store was offering, but they absolutely refused. Despite multiple attempts, I was disappointed but realized I wouldn't let that stop me from owning it.

I bought this mainly for the $8 Batman v Superman movie certificate, but also because it's a DC Comics related show and it was only $14.99. I have only had the time to watch the first episode so far, but the picture quality is great from what I've seen, and I have no regrets on buying this, as I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes on Blu-ray =)

I lost the ability to watch this on Hulu but Season 2 I could so I had to catch up first. Love origin stories and the development of all these characters. The cast is amazing. They are so lucky to have gotten all of this talent young and old. Definitely check out the special features because there is alot more to what you see visually in this gorgeous show.

The Gotham series is story of Bruce Wayne as a boy learning to deal with his tragedies. It gives a back story to a lot of the Gotham characters in way that fits the modern Batman franchise. The characters and filming is as good as the movies. Definitely would recommend. Warning: you may need set aside some time so you can binge watch it as the story is that good.

To me, this show is worth watching once. So typically I would not recommend buying it but if you or someone in your household likes to watch things multiple times it is definitely worth the buy. It is a great show that like Smallville goes too far into the heroes/villains surrounding the superhero the show is centered around to make sense but just throw your superhero logic (superheros being logical is funny I know but bear with me), out the window and enjoy the show for what it is, entertainment with elements of things you probably like about Batman.

I thought this series is fantastic in the way it displays the origin of many of the characters in the Batman universe. The atmosphere is what you expect of the Dark Knight's city: menacing, dark, brooding, and hope in the form of Jim Gordon and a young Bruce Wayne. The actors are great in their roles and I can't wait for Season 2 to come out in bluray!!!

While not the Batman TV show some pine for (Bruce is only 12 or so), as an intense urban crime drama with nods to the vast Batman mythology, Gotham succeeds brilliantly. Comics fans and fresh viewers alike will have a great time watching the battle for control of a city's soul unfold.

Season one of Gotham was a good introduction to the world of Batman characters before they became legend. This season follows Bruce Wayne as a boy. And Gordon working at Gotham PD...with all of the corruption and the villains coming up. This is a dense, well acted show; and the blu ray is certainly worth picking up.

Because so many of the scenes are so dark in this series, it benefits greatly from the extra bandwidth that broadcast and cable can't deliver. Crisp detail, especially in low light and action scenes. Series is a little slow in the beginning, but by the end of the season, you'll be locked in and ready for future seasons.

Great new show, and a welcomed fresh take on storytelling. Our beloved characters now given new life before Batman came to save the night from the evils of Gotham. Season 1 has some slow spots, but tons of awesome to be found. Each episode better then the last. 100% worth the buy for any Bat fan or Adventure fan.

so the 1st season (before batman is batman) starts out pretty great. u learn where gothams criminals (the penguin, the riddler and even catwoman) start and how gotham became in need of batman. not only is there the full season there is also the extras with the " Game of cobblepot" and gotham invented.

I really enjoy the Gotham series. I bought this DVD to add to my Gotham collection . This set of DVDs includes the first season of Gotham with all too familiar bad guys such as the Joker, Penguin , the Ridler, just to name a few. This complete first season is a must have for the devoted fan.

This is a great series! The bluray has great clarity and the show itself is awesome! I love the reimagining of the characters and yet theres enough similarity that you can tell who is who from comics/other shows. I enjoy getting to see more of the world that Batman was created from.

W/ so many iterations of Batman movies (Burton, Nolan, and now BvS), this is a different version that concentrated on Gordon and the villains in the universe, much earlier than Bruce became Batman. 1st season was quite good, and so is the second one. All the actors are well cast in their roles.

Series is the start of the Batman saga before he became Batman. It's the beginning of his journey on becoming the Batman and showcases the rise of the Penguin in the criminal underworld as well as the rise of Detective Gordon in becoming the Police Commissioner of Gotham City.

This show is a little more dark, obviously I mean it takes place in Gotham and for those who are familiar that's how it is there most of the time. I saw the first season already so I figured since it's one of my other favorites shows on now I would buy the Blu-Ray disc and enjoy it again

Gotham Season 1 has been one of the better programs that Fox has put together. Have been a fan since the beginning, and will continue to watch, and buy the B/R when they come out ! Dark, Sexy, and definitely Entertaining !! I now have a reason to watch TV for Monday nights !!

Gotham goes where others have dared not to, into the gritty world of life BEFORE Batman. Touching on some of the foundational events that make the arrival of Batman even possible, Gotham sets a rich storyline of the man behind the mask and the people who formed his alter ego.

Gotham is one of the best tv shows. If you are a fan of batman you will love this show. Crazy villans, great acting, story and scenery. On the darkside, which is good. Almost like a Tim burton movie. If you have never seen this series, check it out. Does not disappoint!
