This is one of may favorite shows on tv as of now. The rise of batman from a young Bruce Wayne, and the rise of many of Gothams great villains: Penguin, Cat Woman, the riddler, Poison Ivy and more. Very well written script, and nice twist, and turned to keep most interested.

    Gotham Season One

Gotham is by far one of the best well written shows of this genre in quite some time. The struggle for power in this city gives rise to all the villains we now know and love. Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mahoney and Robin Lord Taylor is brilliant as Oswald Cobblepot.

Season 2 is Better... But This is Good, Too

The Bat deserved a better first season, but despite some wayward storytelling late in the season (and a waste of Jada Pinkett Smith), there are several gems that save it: the Penguin and Riddler are truly inspired and exciting characters (eager to see where they go), and Alfred is a nice nod towards the depiction of Alfred from "Batman: Earth One". Not quite as good as the second season, but still worth checking out Bruce Wayne's early days.

Gotham and Gordon - new vision

Ok, it's not the comics. But it is a gripping vision of Gotham CIty after the death of Bruce Wayne's parents. Poor Detective Gordon discovers just how deeply crime has taken over the inner works of this place. And how many shows have you rooting for the big crime boss?

The story is exciting and the season is very long w/ over 20 eps. All the actors are well cast and play their parts very well, especially Penguin, Gordon, and Nigma. w/ $8 movie coupon for Batman v Super (at the time of writing), it was well worth it to collect.

When I heard about Gotham, I had high hopes for this show, but low expectations. Fox really did an excellent job. The storylines are great, and the casting is fantastic. The guy that plays Penguin is just amazing. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Gotham is an excellent buy for any comic book lover. The actors and action scenes are the reasons I bought this DVD. Many of the actors who portray the characters in "Gotham" have played different characters in other movies. Overall this an excellent DVD.

The first season of the "pre-Batman" life of Bruce Wayne and all of the other characters is well done and does a great job maintain the "dark" overtones established in the Batman movie trilogy. Great character development and story line. Highly recommended

Gotham took me by surprise. I purchased it on a whim due to the good price. I was impressed with the way they introduced many of the villains and how well they cast them. I think the Penguin is great and I enjoyed watching the evolution of the Riddler.

A perfect DVD set for any true Batman fan out there. Gotham is a brilliant show that has received a lot of ratings and a lot of good reviews. Season 1 was awesome and I will definitely be getting season 2 when it is released in a DVD set like this one.

Season one of Gotham sets the stage for what looks to be a great series. The Blu-ray version looks amazing. I wasn't sure how I felt about the Penguin character in this particular series, but as I watched it more he ended up becoming my favorite.

I was really surprised how much I loved this show. I enjoyed all the backstories. I'm not sure it follows the comics but since I haven't read them I just enjoy Gotham for what it is. Great characters and a really good story so far.

An amazing cool telling of Gotham CIty and it's foes when Batman was young, Love portrayals, reboots, and stories like this, it's truly like a whole other world. Highly recommended, every character is nuts, leaves me wanting more. A+

I wasn't able to keep up with season 1 because of my crazy schedule but with season 1 on blu ray now I can binge watch the season on my days off. Because I'm able to watch the season at my own pace I've gotten more into the show!

I’ll admit that when I first saw this series on tv I was not interested. But now that I’ve been able to watch from the beginning I am a fan. Well done series. Can’t wait to see where it goes I’m on season two now.

OK, more Smallville than Homicide but you get the idea. Take away the horrid acting of Jada Pickett Smith and the show is a fun ride. Robin Lord Taylor as the Penguin is the breakout role. Also Donal Logue is always a good addition to any program. Also, also Sean Pertwee IS the Alfred for today! He kicks more butt than anyone else on the show. Holy Bad@$$ Butler, Batman!!!!!

This series takes a refreshing take on Batmans origins. Focusing more so on the Gotham police dept and Detecive Gordon. It's nice to see a young Bruse Wayne begin to develop skills that will later help him become the Dark Knight.

This show is very interesting and it’s a different perspective. I like seeing young Bruce for a change. I like where they are heading with this show! Definitely worth watching if you enjoy the Batman lore!
