When I first saw pictures of the GoTraz XR Advance Electric Scooter, I thought that it was going to be more of a kids scooter rather than an adults. The pictures make it seem like it’s skinnier and lighter weight than it really is. This electric scooter is good enough for an adult rider that weighs no more than 220lbs, the scooter itself weighs approximately 27 pounds, not super lightweight, but not heavy either. Overall the XR Advance is very well-made. Made of metal, rubber and plastic, by no means is this scooter flimsy. the top speed is about 15 miles per hour, but that’s it, Don’t expect more. I really like the scooter to keep in the trunk of my car and commute the rest of the way to work. What used to be a 15 minute walk to work is now a fun three minutes. When folded, it is very compact and will fit in the trunk of just about any vehicle. Since it doesn’t weigh a ton, putting it in and taking it out is easy. I really like the way it folds, I feel like the whole locking mechanism is very Intuitive. I’m very experienced with scooters and assembling them. This one took me about five minutes, not very difficult at all… make sure to read the instructions first. Overall, this is a no-frills electric scooter, and in a way it does the bare minimum, it has a small display screen, only one brake, and the rear tire guard flimsy. But the good thing is that overall it is built very well built and it’s very budget friendly. For commuting and going a couple miles at a time, this scooter is more than capable of getting you there.

I recently purchased an electric scooter for my kids from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The scooter has been a fantastic addition to our daily routine—my kids absolutely love it and ride it every chance they get. The quality of the scooter is impressive. It feels sturdy, well-built, and safe, which is very important to me as a parent. The battery life has been great so far, lasting long enough for extended playtime without constant recharging. It’s also easy for my kids to use, with simple controls and smooth acceleration. Shopping at Best Buy made the whole process even better. The purchase was easy, and I felt confident in the product thanks to their selection and reliability. Overall, this has been a wonderful buy that brought a lot of excitement and joy to my kids. I highly recommend both the scooter and shopping at Best Buy if you’re looking for a fun, reliable gift for your children!

GoTrax XR ADVANCE Commuting Electric Scooter w/12mi Max Operating Range & 15.5mph Max Speed Summary: Smaller, but capable commuting scooter. Pros: * Industrial look offers a pronounced get-to-work aesthetic but it cuts out some of the more refined touches of its bigger cousin. * Control. The accelerator works super well and offers great control - expected for a GoTrax. * Breaks. The brakes are equally responsive and provide the stopping power you need; but beware breaking at high speeds! * Head and tail lamps. The lamp is similar to other models. The tail lamp and flashing are less pronounced. We don't ride in the evenings much, so less of a concern. * Battery. This unit is smaller because of its reduces range. That is okay, because we use this alongside our other GoTrax and while the limits are different, the ride is just as smooth. * Enclosure/frame. While this unit resembles its bigger cousin, it is a bit smaller in length and weight. It feels substantial i.e. "well made." * No frills. We have owned scooters that we use for recreation. It didn't feel safe for long distances, and it felt like it was designed for children even if it wasn't marketed as such. Maybe it was the flashing gimmicky LEDs everywhere, or the wimpy frame. This GoTrax compliments the unit we used to replace the wimpy competition and the lighter unit makes this the preferred unit for short distances particularly where we might need to fold and lug it around. * Weight. GoTrax scooters are heavyier than the wimpy competition. This unit, though smaller than its cousin, is still hefty, but a fair trade off. Cons: * Charging port. I dislike proprietary charging bricks and connections. Though proprietary power is the norm, I wish it weren't. A magnetic power port would be nice since these ports will snag if you forget to disconnect before riding. Use: We recommend GoTrax scooters because they feel sturdy. They aren't flashy, but if short commutes are the primary function of this device in your life then this unit is perfect. We own a larger cousin and have been looking to get a pair since our previous wimpy one just went kaput after only a short while. The GoTrax deals just fine with some uneven terrain, as well, something other units have struggled with.

Has excellent battery life and good range for what it’s worth. Like others have noted, the brake can be a bit sensitive to get used to at first, but it’s easy to get the hang of it. The cruise control feature comes in hand for long, flat stretches. While it does absorb bumps fairly well, it’s still best not to go over bumps and such too quickly, as it will jolt you. The headlight is a great safety feature, as the reflectors aren’t that prominent. Overall a great scooter and easy to operate and maintain.

We got this as a birthday present for our 10 year old son. He is so happy. He rides it to/from school every day along with his stooter buddies. It's big but not as bulky and too heavy like some other adult scooters. Our soon weights 100 lbs and is on a bigger side and it fits him perfectly with an ample room to grow. Excellent scooter, rides really fast, breaks perfectly, I tried it once and I loved the speed.

Exactly as advertised. It is great for light urban travel. It will struggle with hills depending on slope and weight of load. It says it maxes out at 220 lbs - I am 160 and have carried pretty heavy loads in bags that must have surpassed this and it did fine, albeit over a short distance. The battery life isnt great, but if you're only going a couple miles either direction and then charge at night its never an issue at all. The only thing is that once it hits 2/4 bars max speed gets throttled a bit, which increases as battery gets lower. So charge it. All in all a great starter scooter or light duty model. Very happy with it.

Great scooter ! Long lasting battery the only negative thing about this is the tires can pop,, do yourself a favor and buy the warranty with it,my grandson rode it all summer and at the end the tire popped and Best Buy replaced it with another scooter. Well worth every $ I paid for this Scooter

The GoTrax XR Advance is a fantastic lightweight electric scooter that balances portability with performance. It accelerates smoothly and reaches solid speed for daily commutes. The compact foldable design makes it easy to carry and store — perfect for city living. I appreciate the decent battery life, which comfortably covers most urban trips without worrying about frequent recharging. It rides comfortably and feels sturdy despite being light. Overall, the XR Advance is an excellent choice for anyone wanting an affordable, compact, and fun scooter for everyday use.

This is a Fantastic scooter! Definitely recommend it. It’s great for teens and adults. It has a top speed of 15.5 mph and I have gone for 12 miles without the battery dying. I haven’t had a single problem with it.

Great scooter overall. U can let go of the theottle while riding long enough and the scooter continues to move. Thats a cool feature. Very lightweight. Just closing and ooening can be a bit better. Closing u have to use thands to pull a knob and push down a lever. To open u press down on a hook release in the back of the scooter. One thing i hate about thia scooter is while closed bothe qheels do not touch the ground. Only one does leaving u to readjust if placing the scooter in the back seat of a car. Overall, not bad GoTrax! One more thing, scooter has to be at a full stop to power off.

Really good scooter! Took me back and forth to work on one charge, about 20 miles total. Speed matches the description

I decided to get this scooter as a way to get around without wasting gas for a quick trip down the road. I just finished taking it for a quick ride and i am very happy with it. Its exactly what i need for a good price. It took me about 5 minutes to put it together using the supplied tools. It is light enough to easliy lift and carry up and down the stairs. The one thing worth noting is that the scooter does not have a rear break light. It does has a reflector. I got around this by getting a helmet with built in lights which I prefer since the lights will be higher and make me easier to see if/when I ride at night.

Very happy with this affordable electric scooter. It appears to hold a good charge and works great for short trips within about 2 miles. Without enough momentum, it can struggle on mid-grade hills, but overall it's been a good value and works great for our needs.

My son loves this scooter. He can ride for a long time without needing to charge it. It was so easy to assemble. I think this one is a great one for a preteen with the max speed of 15.5 mph. I would definitely buy another gotrax in the future.

Got me home from the Best Buy Parking lot before dark when someone totaled my truck, It comes with the little tool you need to assemble it and has great range, I had enough battery to ride it around some more when i got home straight out of the box!
