The Govee app is tremendously intuitive. I have all of the other products such as the mood light lamps and light bulbs. I’ll never use another light source besides Govee. This particular product is bottom tier compared to the rope light. The LED bulbs are visible so the intent is to place it at a place where it’s hidden but provides a glowing hue against a flat surface.

I followed instructions and wiped the area with the alcohol pad. I've used other lights and never had this issue. Wouldn't recommend for the price.

And not just paint but the drywall is ripped/torn all over the room and ceiling. This is a very costly product for that reason. Regret buying it.

They are also very easy to set up and as long as you okay with putting the brackets in your walls then they stay up really well. Also, if you buy the led lightbulbs from GOVEE as well then you put them both on music mode it looks amazing.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The lights work mostly well, only issues I have is on the app sometimes it just straight up ignores my request to change colors or change brightness. Only other issue is personally I like my lights being super dark where they provide just seeable light, unfortunately these don’t go that dark which my last ones did. Other than that these work great, alright software and you honestly might be able to get better for this price point but these work well.
