Customer Ratings & Reviews

Amazing lights and endless settings so much fun and makes my house look so good.

Great quality lights. Easy to install. Just need to plan properly on the placement and use of extension cables. Once planned, installation is neat and simple. Need to wipe the surface clean before using the adhesive. If not cleaned, it will not stick for long. Using the clip and screws on top will make it permanent. The screw width could be little bigger. It will fit very well to the existing roof panel holes. As the screws are smaller, will have to make new holes of smaller size. Lot of themes available to use.

The lights are amazing. Truly get what you pay for as far as the color options, sequences, and quality. Mobile app is easy to set up and use. The downfall of this product is the mounting brackets, screws, and 3M double sided tape. If you live in the south where it’s humid the tape is a no go. The mounting brackets are ineffective without the tape adhering like it’s supposed to. I ended up spending and additional $50 on some non Govee brand brackets that worked amazing! The screws are super tiny and the heads round off very very easy. Installation was a major pain due to these issues. The lights themselves are excellent though I’d say 10/10. Mounting hardware is a 3/10.

I absolutely love these lights! They are so vibrant and easy to use, and I found the installation process to be pretty straightforward. However, I do have two small complaints. First, the 3mm tape that came with the lights didn't seem to hold up very well. I had to purchase extra clips to keep the lights from sagging. Second, I was disappointed to find out that the music sync box had to be purchased separately. Without it, only a portion of the light would move with the music. Considering the amount of money I spent on these lights (I actually purchased two of them), I would have expected these items to be included. That being said, the lights themselves are fantastic! There are so many preset lighting options to choose from, and you can even create your own. It's also possible to recreate lighting options that others have created, which is really cool. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and will likely buy more for the interior of my home.

The lights are very amazing quality. The hanging process was fairly simple and the pairing to the smartphone was even more simple. The amount of designs you can program the lights to do is amazing also with the AI feature, which allows you to tell it what you want the lights to look like is even more amazing. Definitely a great investment for the house.

I have to say, I am impressed. The ease of installation (even in 20 degree F weather) is phenomenal. The app could be a little more user friendly but like any I am sure with time I will get the hang of it. It has been so much fun already! During the Texas and Texas A&M game we had our house lit up Orange and white and our neighbors (Aggie fans) had theirs maroon and white. It was great friendly rivalry! But we know which stayed on all night! Quality is amazing! All the accessories and extras come in handy! I didn’t realize I started with wrong in on the 3rd roof apex and had to start over! Thankfully you get an extra strand worth of 3M stickies! I wish I did this years ago! And so glad I went for it by myself instead of paying the ridiculous quoted $3800 to have it done. Save your money! You got this! Just be safe!

They look great and are easy to install and operate. Multiple scenes to choose from or create your own. All the neighbors comment about them. Best of all, no more putting up Christmas lights.

For my first time owning one of these and they are really good. The lighting options are impressive so many colors, effects, and customization choices that it’s easy to set the perfect mood for any occasion. The brightness and quality are top notch, and the app control makes everything super convenient. The only minor downside is that sometimes the adhesive doesn’t stick well to the ceiling, so you may need to use the included screws for extra support. But once they’re secured, they look fantastic and stay put. Overall, totally worth it. Highly recommend!

These lights have worked as designed. Install was pretty easy and lights look awesome. You will need a weather box for the power adaptor.

The Govee RGBIC WiFi Lights are an excellent choice for anyone looking to upgrade their space with vibrant, customizable lighting. The RGBIC technology allows multiple colors to display on the strip at the same time, creating dynamic effects that look far more premium than standard RGB lights. Setup is quick and straightforward using the Govee Home app, which connects easily over WiFi. The app offers an impressive range of features, including customizable scenes, music sync modes, scheduling, and DIY color effects. Voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant works smoothly and adds convenience for hands-free operation. Brightness and color accuracy are standout features. The lights are vivid, evenly lit, and bright enough for both accent lighting and mood lighting. The adhesive backing is strong and holds well on clean surfaces, making installation simple for desks, walls, TVs, or shelving. Overall, Govee RGBIC WiFi Lights deliver great value for the price with strong performance, smart features, and eye-catching visuals. They’re perfect for gaming setups, home theaters, or anyone who wants flexible, smart ambient lighting without spending a fortune.

Lights look great, they are easy to install strong adhesive

These lights are really neat to have on the house. We love changing the colors and patterns. The only issue we have had is the stuff used to stick them on is starting to come off in places.

Great outdoor permanent ligting for any holiday. I had to do a little more work to get these lights up and running because of the odd roof of Arizona homes. I needed to add 12 pieces of 8ft long 1"x2" wood to attach the lights on. And I have to splice additional wires to make another extension, but those are easy works. The lights went up very easy with the tapes came with it. And the set up with the app is very easy and quick. I put mind up a week before Christmas and I will leave them there for years. The color sceme is great, many options to choose from or I can pick my own. I own a few diferent Govee lights in our house and we love them all. This is not the pro version, which has better white light and higher brightness. This is bright enough for lighting up my walls. Although it's not the pro version, it's still not cheap, but you do pay for what you get, this is an awesome light.

Love it. Beautiful bright colors. Made my house look amazing and love how can change patterns with the seasons. Definitely worth the money spent. Good quality. Just wish I would have hired someone to put them up because a lot of work putting them up.

Had a little trouble getting installed, our fault it was pretty cold and the adhesive wont stick if its not over 50° outside. Colors and pattern choses are great can adjust the brightness, set on and off times. Only problem and I may just not have figured out how to set it, is that when it turns on at the set time it turns on to the original setting and not the theme I set it to. Over all loves this product.

Very simple to install if you have an outlet in the roof to plug directly into. Also looks very good and professional, my wife and I did it ourselves after getting quoted $3,000 for another brand of permanent light installed. This option was emensly more affordable and looks very professional. Also from the ground it blends into the roof very well. These lights can be programmed to turn on/off and connect to wifi allowing you to use your phone to turn them on/off via the app anywhere in world (provided you have service)

Love them and easy to install. Amazing colors and patterns

Definitely step up the Christmas light or any seasonal appearance for your home. Just measure your distances and plan ahead. They are costly compared to other lights but good quality and wow factor

Great product! Easy to install and looks great! The app works great and allows you to choose from many different light options or you can experiment with your own light set ups and save what you create! Worth every penny!

recently purchased the Govee Outdoor String Lights, and I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve transformed my backyard space. The lights are vibrant, customizable, and give off a high-quality, premium look that’s perfect for everything from relaxing evenings to hosting outdoor gatherings.
