Great product and very easy to use. Comes with plug plus batteries option.

I like this radio as it is easy to use and does what a basic radio is supposed to do. The reason I am giving it three stars is that the knob to navigate radio stations moves too fast to pinpoint a particular one. I don't know if there is any solution to that but it will certainly make this device more useful.

The GPX- portable AM/FM Shortwave radio is a fantastic radio. It has good reception of AM and FM stations as well as some of the shortwave stations that come in. The digital readout is great for tuning in precisely to the radio station you want. It comes with an adapter but can also be used with 3 size D batteries (not included). I am pleased with this purchase.

I wanted a basic radio to listen to my local AM station, one that used replaceable batteries/AC adapter, and was larger than the pocket size radios. It seems to receive FM ok, and I haven't really seriously tried SW listening. It keeps good time. Have not needed it for an alarm. The rotary tuner provides a digital readout, but is kind of touchy. I prefer direct tuning, or at least, search ability, but I usually just leave the tuner on my local AM station anyhow. It provides the performance I expected for $20.00.

Awesome for the Emergency situations when stormy weather is near

Nice, mellow sound for the AM/FM stations. Have been able to pick up 1 SW station; instructions with radio indicate that reception for SW stations can be spotty. Great, however, for AM/FM. Wish instructions had noted whether there is a plastic sheet over the power area on the front of radio; am leaving it although it looks less "shiny" than it should.

I wanted a radio that I can take outside and listen to local stations. This does what it should do. The digital tuning is simple. The sound quality is OK. On balance, this radio is well worth the low cost.

The best little radio! Doesn’t get a lot of channels really clear but it gets enough. Well made, sturdy and sounds good. Good deal for little money! thank-you!

When I worked with an ethnic personnel, they could get there language and it was only radio we would listen to. In emergencies it was my company and well worth it for the price. Sound was so good, we rather listen to this portable than all other Hi-Fi

Bought for a gift They said works great. Compact in size.

I realize that this is a cheap radio, but the one I bought was not put together very well. The power cord would not go all the way into the unit. The unit would still power on, but I wasn't sure how safe it was electrically.

keep it for emergecies good price. Trying to figure out the shortwave function.

good sound and easy to tune in stations you want to hear

Purchased it for my home office and it works well. Easy to use and gets more station than my older radio. My wife bought a radio from Amazon and was not able to deliver it because they could not locate up - after 100's of delivery, so I went to my favorite store and ordered it.

It's OK but when you turn on the radio it takes about 7 seconds for the radio to come on. At least it's digital turning.
