While this is a move about a historical period of GRand Prix racing (late 60's), director John Frankenheimer used ground breaking techniques to capture the racing action that remain unrivaled to this day, and in fact would be impossible to replicate today due to much more limited access and safety restrictions. The extras included are nearly as entertaining as the movie itself and give you an behind the scenes look at the extraordinary lengths Frankenheimer went to, to film the racing scenes in a way that conveys the speed and brutality of Grand Prix racing in a way never done before, or since.
