Rockstar Games has don it again. Grand Theft Auto V is an absolutely masterpiece. The game is based in Los Santos (a virtual recreation of the Los Angeles area) and features the story of three protagonists from different yet similar backgrounds. You can be a part of any of their stories at any time. GTA Online is also here where you can play with/against your friends online. It is a tremendous amount of fun that I recommend for anyone as long as you are old enough to play. This game is very Mature so kids definitely shouldn't play it.

I'm a 45yr old casual gamer who was hesitant about buying this game and have never bought the previous versions but couldn't help overhearing the overwhelming support for the game so I bought it cheap/on sale and I've gotta say this is by far the best title I own. Constantly discovering new this or that's and the AI is amazing. On the surface the language is offensive but once you get into the root of what the game is all about it's really quite thrilling and over all a fun experience. At this point I'm fairly addicted and catch myself losing track of time easily.

You will love this game. It has great campaign with multiplayer online. I will recommend this game to everyone.

It's a Okay Game! Has A Long Tutorial that you Have To Do And Can't Save And Pick up where you left off, Have to start over each time... But It is a Good Game To Add To Any XBOX One Collection!

Been playing this game for years. Finally updated console and its a whole new ball game. Love the next gen material. I could play this game until the end of time.

This game is a world by itself. Completely on another level, compared with any other games I know. By itself, it should be the reason to purchase an XBOX (360 or One, I have both versions of the console - And of the game). It's incredibly detailed, You can do whatever you please, go wherever you please, and do it in a car, bike, bycicle, helicopter, airplane... Every single vehicle in the game is "Stealable" (Yes, even the train) and drivable. Yes, there is some violence and quite a lot of foul language. No big deal, it's liife! The main story is really good, and the characters are extremely funny (I love Trevor's lack of empathy while being extremely loyal) All in all, this is a game that keeps growing on you, it's engaging, fun to explore (Go to Vespucci Beach at sunset!!!) andit's also evolving, thanks to all the -FREE- downloadable content that keeps making it better.

GTA V is back and this time on next-gen hardware. I have to say, and I've never done this in my 30+ years as a gamer, when I installed t he game and fired it up and played the opening prologue, I started to smile and grin ear to ear with excitement. Make no mistake, this is not just GTA V with better graphics, this is GTA V at it's full imagined potential. If you were pulled into the game last year on the old consoles, this one pulls you in deeper. It's the most immersive and cinematic experience I've ever had playing a video game. This next-gen version goes far beyond just eye-candy, the entire single player campaign has so much life to it now that it's almost overwhelming. When I finished the first mission with Franklin and was allowed to do what I wanted for the first time while playing, I simply started walking around Los Santos to take everything in. Buildings and billboards that were blurry and fade off into the background on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are now razor sharp and highly detailed... for miles! I was looking around at things I had never noticed before because the hi-resolution graphics command you to pay attention. And speaking of looking around, I switched to the new first person perspective and immediately noticed how as I walked past people on the streets of Los Santos, they would make eye contact with me, making the world even more immersive. There are new pedestrians too, with all new things to say and funny conversations to listen in on, which was a welcome surprise. The physics of the game have been rebalanced as well. It's difficult for me to express this in writing, but everything feels like it has a more realistic gravity to it. For example, run into a street post in your car and instead of it feeling like it's made out of paper mache, it actually has some weight now (and can severely damage your vehicle). Some people have complained that the cars are slower in GTA V, I disagree, it feels like everything has a more realistic weight to it, that's all. You can still fly down the street in your ride if that's what you choose to do, but now it actually feels like your in a car and not a toy. I'm barely a few missions in with Franklin, but I'm amazed. Add in the new songs (which are better than the original selections for the game), first person mode and not just enhanced graphics but also enhanced particles, character models and gore effects and you have what feels and looks like a whole new game. I feel like the last year I've been playing GTA V Beta and this game is actually the true finished version of the game Rockstar envisioned. A word about GTA Online: I was able to smoothly transfer my old character into GTA V for the Xbox One with no problems. The new character creator is amazing and offers and large amount of customization options for your character. I spent over an hour tweaking mine, it's a great feature! While the servers have had several issues at launch (I was expecting them to, this is the most popular game series of all-time by the way) I have been able to play a lot today and wanted to say some things about it. To the people that say this game is just a port-over with better graphics, read this carefully: my favorite activity in the GTA Online are Survivals, so I joined a game and played with 3 other people. Within the first minute of playing I knew I had spent my money wisely on this game. The enemies came at us quickly and aggressively. One guy died almost immediately from behind a popular hiding spot on the map because he probably wasn't ready for it. The Survival was intense, fast paced and very realistic. Did we have to wait in hiding spots for several minutes for the enemies to come to us like on the 360 and PS3? No.... oh no we did not. The enemies were coming at us heavy and hard to kill us! Plus, when the helicopters appeared, I took out my minigun to take it down and Rockstar has added new lens flare effects to the gun, new particle effects to the helicopter as it was being shot... it was tremendous, visceral, fast paced and intense! Plus, little things like after winning a race your shown posing in your garage are nice touches that weren't possible on the old consoles. I have yet to experience a 30 player lobby, but as server issues get fixed they'll happen and when they do it will add a whole new dimension to freemode.

What can you say about this game! I am not a huge gamer but when a new edition of gta comes out everything changes! This game is extremely easy to play so it makes it so addicting but it's not so easy it gets boring. You can play this game for a month straight and still find new stuff to do. I just recently started playing online with some old friends and I can't tell you how much fun it is! Was able to catch up with some very good friends and have a blast doing so! The only thing else to say is if you have a gaming system than gta 5 is a must! The only thing more important is a controller. Or maybe a tv to hook it up too.

I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it. He can play for hours and not realize how much time has passed. So, ladies if you want to entertain your husband and give yourself from free time, buy this game lol. I like when he plays while I am out shopping; I don’t get any calls rushing me home. On the other hand if you want help around the house or some quality time together, buying this game is not the best idea. It is very addicting! Also, if you have little ones around the house, I wouldn’t recommend due to the strong language and violence.

Overall great game. Major improvement to the graphics and controls compared to the Xbox 360. This is the game to go to for those looking to have a good time with friends online. You can participate in online death match or even collaborate a team together to pull off heists. It's also fun to just mess around and have a good time. There are hardly any restrictions to the open world play.

I have to admit I have never really enjoyed the Grand Theft Auto games for several reasons. 1) the driving mechanics are horrible 2) many missions are boring/similar 3) the stories are similar (rises up the gang ladder) 4) over the top violence, sometimes tasteless However, this Grand Theft Auto gets several things right compared to its predecessors. 1) graphics are much better 2) load times are improved, compared to xbox 360 & PS3 versions 3) shooting mechanics are near flawless 4) an addition of 3rd person is great 5) story is better, but very disjointed

This is an adult game with adult language, adult themes, and adult situations. The characters are morally reprehensible, the story is amazing, the open game world is alive and breathtaking, and the gameplay is top notch. It is not (despite what they plead) appropriate for a 12 year old. Consume responsibly.

This game is fantastic. It has so many features and can be played for a long time with all kinds of content to explore in an open world environment.

Grand Thief Auto Five is a fun game for teenagers. It has a great open world experience that allows for many hours of gameplay. I don't recommend this game for kids under 16, lots of violence.

GTA V was already a masterpiece. The new gen version (Xbox One, PS4 and PC) is simply the definitive edition of the game of the decade. I'm not one to replay games, but since announced, I refrained playing GTA V on Xbox 360, saving it for this next gen version. Improvements Incredibly better graphics, first person mode, some extra content. How is first person mode? It took me a little while to get used as it is not FPS-COD-HALO like. Driving is also little less arcadey but not even close to something like Forza Horizon. Once you realize that all you have to do is control the accelerator and get the timing of the steering you will be zooming in glorious dashboard view throughout Los Santos. Once I got the hang off driving FP mode, I don't want to drive in 3rd person at all. About the shooting in FP, I still use auto-aim but feels like that with some training and tweaking on cursor speed free aim can be fun as well. Problem is the huge dead zone on the aiming analog. Hope RS patches it soon. Should I buy it? If you never played GTA V, its a no-brainer: GET IT NOW! If you played before but never finished the story, PLEASE get this version and do finish the story. It is really an awesome story mode and this version is the perfect way to experience it. If you already finished the story mode before, you may wait a little bit if you have a backlog now (and you should, with so many great games release last 30 days only!). What about online mode? I can't tell about online mode as I grew out of online competitive play. I started online gaming back circa 2002 and played a LOT online. Around 2010 I could not stomach online play at all. All I play now is offline modes and some mega rare co-op with friends and family. So I'll be owing a quick review of online mode.

This game is amazing although it's my first gta game. The story is great and the online is even better. There's so much to do and so much to explore. I don't get bored with this game

Awesome game, I had it for Xbox 360 and repurchased it for Xbox One. Story mode is awesome, online play is even better. I had owned all the GTA's, this one is by far the best.
