This movie is great. The picture and 3D really are great and feel immersive. The sound was done good too.

Awesome Space movie. The special effects are out of this world and the actors did a phenomenal job.

No wonder there is a quote of, "Best Movie of the Year" right on the slip cover of this blu-ray. I have not seen a movie that makes you actually feel like you are in space with these characters ever. Having a fairly extensive home theater audio system, I really look to audio quality of movies sometimes even more than video. This had best of both worlds. Not only was picture truly amazing in highdef 1080p blu-ray transfer, the audio channels were alive with activity, but not over-doing it like some movies. From the beginning of the movie the rear channels offer subtle audio that truly immerses you in what you are watching and truly adds to the feeling that you are out in space with the crew. This stays true during the entire movie to keep you in a feeling that you are right there with them. Many times I caught myself clenching my fist because I was so into what was happening on the screen and throughout the plot of the movie. I know a movie is good if I find myself immediately turning to the special features following the film. There have been some movies I own that I have never watched the features, and probably never will. This had me even researching information online for days after watching, and now I can't wait to watch it again. MUST OWN.

Glad to see BBY still carrying 3D. This one is a must have for anyone with a 3D TV or projector.

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the Blu-Ray of this (I do own it of course), but I saw this film once in regular theater and once in IMAX. Both times it was great if not better the second time around watching it in IMAX. So this review is mostly for the movie itself and not the Blu-Ray. This was easily my favorite movie of 2013, a unique film and an amazing and equally unique experience watching it. It almost felt like one of those 3D rides at a theme park, just with much better direction. The direction on the film is great, the CGI/visuals are obviously flawless, sound/music amazing, acting wonderful. The story is not original by any means, but the setting of space, changes that dramatically. The environment of this film, is without a doubt, what makes the film what it is. That setting engages the viewers to the point where they themselves feel as if they are in space trying to survive (putting themselves in the lead character's POV). It in itself, space that is, in a sense is playing a character. Alfonso Cuaron executed this film brilliantly, he is one of my favorite directors and with movies like these, it's no wonder why. Highly recommended.

Vet fee movies are worth purchasing the 3D version for. This is one of them.

Great visuals and acting. Probably the best space adventure of the last 10 years.

This film and BluRay delivers the goods. The tension begins immediately and grows throughout the duration of the movie. 'Gravity' is a thrilling and exciting action adventure, it's an awesome cinematic visual spectacle with a terrifying scenario and outer space situation, and a exquisite masterpiece of minimalist characterization. The sounds effects and music draws and gravitates into each scene, adding to the credibility of uber-realistic visual effects. And perhaps the only caveat is that the DVD that comes with this package does not include the exciting bonus features that the BluRay contains. For the BluRay collector and science fiction enthusiast and buff, this is a movie blockbuster "must have". And, for movie lovers that do not take science fiction seriously, here's a sci-fi movie that might work for those who don't usually like this genre. No aliens, just superstar acting and action. Overall, 'Gravity' is a stunning motion picture and visual force of attraction. Gravitate to a Best Buy near you or just add this to your cart right now and buy 'Gravity' today. It's movie magic!!!!!

Excellent movie, excellent cast. Story is terrific. Best 3d experience on an in home theater system I've seen so far. The story seems simple enough on the surface... Two astronauts get stranded in space after a debris field smashes their shuttle and the equipment they were up there repairing. They are the only survivors of the crew and must get to a space station to try to return to earth. During their attempt we learn of Sandra bullock's character and how she had a daughter that was killed tragically in a playground accident. Bullock's character has lost the will to live and feels dead inside. This movie addresses the adversities we all go through as humans and as bad as it seems we have that primal instinct to not give up and survive the odds. The ending can be interpreted a few ways. Without saying much about the ending here, I will say that it is full of metaphors and is very deep! I suggest enjoying the movie first and then search on the internet about the director's take on the film and ending as a whole! I can't stress enough how fabulous this movie is!

Incredible filmmaking, truly an experience rather than just a movie. See it on the biggest 3D screen you can for the full experience. Alfonso Cuaron and Emmanuel Lubezki combine to make the most photo realistic animated film ever. Almost everything you see is CGI, computer generated imagery, but rather than use it just for spectacle, Cuaron and Lubezki use it to anchor you in the terror that is human spaceflight. At various points you become the character of Sandra Bullock as you see the world through her eyes, and you feel every emotion she does. I'd classify it as a gore-less horror film, it's that engrossing. The plot is almost incidental, the filmmaking is so intimate that it makes you feel like you're there even if you don't connect with the story. The special features are not to be missed, as you explore the creation of the story, animation, and completely new filming techniques. Also notable is the short documentary narrated by Ed Harris about Kessler Syndrome, the real life inspiration for the events of the movie. MUST OWN!
