No matter how many wonderful reviews I had read about this movie, I wasn't prepared to love it as much as I did. I became so engrossed that I couldn't believe how quickly it seemed to end, even though it's over 2 hours. The characters are so wonderful and even though the topic is heavy, it's a pretty light and truly moving movie.

Glad Green Book took the Best Picture Award at the 2019 Academy Awards. It's hard to find a film that has everything you would want in a film, strong family values, humor, sadness, a relationship that feels real, not fake. Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali were perfectly cast as the 2 leads. It is a film that everyone would enjoy.

First saw it when released in theaters and leaving the theater declared it the OSCAR WINNER. Truly a perfect film from all angles. Content, drama, humor, acting, directing; it checked all the boxes for a MUST OWN FILM. Virgo is outstanding and should have won more awards but he was up against other great performances.

Of all the movies up for Best Picture this is our choice. Based on a true story. Great script, great acting, wonderful message to our country. We have come a long way but have more work to do. This movie gave me hope for a better world. I love how the movie promoted human understanding, human feelings and human compassion.

Best original screenplay and best motion picture of the year... the latter is controversial in my opinion but with this film you can have your cake and eat it. This film portrays the ugly truth of prejudice that existed in the US not too long ago in an emotional and inspirational perspective that you will love.

This was a true story about what it was like for many Blacks who struggled against the Whites in the South. I loved the relationship these two men created and to find out it lasted their whole life was inspirational. I would watch this over and over. I highly recommend to buy for your collection.

Peter Farrelly's "Green Book" has received praise along with some criticism for being very dated, completely dramatized while being somewhat of a reversal "Driving Miss Daisy" film and while the merits for those arguments are justified, the film overall is done fairly well with Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali developing great chemistry with their constant bickering and can be amusing at times. The 4K presentation is a bit of a step up from the Blu-ray but not by a whole lot. But still, for those that want this film in the best presentation then look no further.

Racism and prejudice always make me angry. I was a child in the NE USA when this story takes place. I am proud of the two main characters for how they rose through the story to a place of greater justice and respect. Wonderful movie! Sad it was ever true and that injustice continues.

Superb. I didn't want it to end. Viggo and Mahershala's acting is spot on, Tony Lip's and Don Shirley's journey throughout the film is engaging as they change/grow with each other. A real gem and a highlight of the year.

Very good movie that I will definitely watch again. So glad I added it to my collection and it really opens your eyes on some things. It isn't a perfect movie, and there were a few things in it I didn't care for personally, but overall it's excellent and one I highly recommend.

This is one of the better movies I've seen recently relative to the story line and entertainment value. The video picture quality is good and the sonnd track is good, but the acting and the story line is what makes this one of my top 20 movies. I can see now why it won best picture!

This movie was eye opening, shocking, and heart warming. The writing and acting were excellent. It is no surprise that Green Book won so many awards. Warning: This movie will make you crave Italian food and good piano music. And hopefully will cause you to treat others more kindly.

Green Book partners two completely different personalities in this real life look at life for Blacks in the deep South 40 years ago. For those of us who didn't experience this, it is a stark reminder of how things were and how hard it is to change people's perceptions.

Entertaining, interesting, and thought-provoking. My wife especially loved this movie but I've already seen it 3 times and enjoyed it each time. It may not be completely accurate but it's not a documentary so I know they've taken some liberties. Still a great movie!

Virgo Mortensen is incredible in this movie! The movie will have you laughing, cheering, crying and applauding. A reminder of a period of time of historical significance but a period we hope never returns. A great movie to knock down the walls of racial prejudice!

Green Book is the best movie I have seen in the last 12 months. The story is very compelling and relates part of our history that is very sad. I grew up in the 50s and can remember seeing signs for white's only and separate waiting rooms in a doctors office.

I rented this movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. So when it went on sale I decided to buy the 4K version. The relationship between the two main characters is predictable but refreshing at the same time. This is a movie you can watch over and over again.

Wow !! Performances by both actors were top notch to show the conditions back during this time period. Excellent interaction between the two and also the depiction of how things were in the deep South during this time period. Highly recommended.

The relationship between an Italian Native New Yorker and a African-American musician that starts slowly and grows into a friendship that lasted. Even during the times of segregation they showed that they would be stronger together than individually.

Two people couldn't be more different. However, a car ride through several states gives these guys the opportunity to find out what we all share. They found strength in each other that they had to rely on. A beautiful story with some nice surprises.
