Started well but seemed as though it made a movie that the subject matter was 30 minutes longer than it needed to be

This Green Lantern animated movie falls somewhere in the middle of the DC animated movies. It uses stories from a couple of different comics, but feels like it just rushes through them. It could’ve benefited from sticking with just 1 classic comic story.

Good movie but this was supposed be Kyle Rayner fighting Hal as Parallax, not John.

Beware My Power stars John Stewart as the titular Green Lantern of this film… unfortunately John Stewart is one of the most boring and uninteresting characters of the whole film despite being given Kyle Rayner’s origin and story arc.
Aldis Hodge who voiced John Stewart for the movie comes off as completely disinterested and sounds like he’d rather be doing anything else.
The Movie itself is trying to adapt 5 comic book storylines and fails at adapting any of them well as it is more interested in being grimdark, edgy, and gory. It is very similar to Justice League Dark Apocalypse War in that way so if you like that movie you’ll probably like this but if you are going into this because of Nostalgia for the Justice League cartoon I recommend just rewatching the show as this is nothing like the show. And if you just want to watch a good Green Lantern Movie I’d recommend watching First Flight, Emerald Knights or Justice League: New Frontier as all three are superior to this movie.
