Self propelled part not so good

This lawnmower works very well for us, but I only gave it 4 stars b/c the self propelled motor locked up after less than a year. This isn’t a huge deal for me b/c I don’t use it, but when it locked I couldn’t even push the mower. The wheels wouldn’t turn. I had to remove the gear that connects the wheels to the self propelled motor so I could push mow my yard.
