It does have LEDs to show you how much charge is left - you have to push a button. The reason I would not recommend is that 2 amps does not last.

Run times do vary depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use. We would strongly recommend only using combining batteries with similar capacity, the larger 4Ah or 5Ah with a 2Ah or 2.5Ah batteries are best option for larger machines, i.e. lawn mower, snow blower etc. While smaller batteries offer a lighter weight for handheld Tools. Yes, a smaller battery offers half the run time of the larger 4Ah or 5Ah however, a smaller battery is a preference for a power to weight ratio. Hope this information helpful. Maybe why others use 20v. Not sure if more is better in this scenario, but love not being bound by a 50ft cord so i still recommend

Posted .Hello Evokkkayyy. Thank you for sharing your experience. There are several variables that will affect how long a cordless leaf blower runtime lasts. Users can control the output of air with the variable speed trigger so you can dial back when in delicate areas and power up when clearing tough debris. Greenworks batteries in the same 80 voltage platform will ultimately perform the same but the run time will vary. The higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is, the more run time the battery has to offer.
For example, an 80V blower with an 80V 4.0ah battery can yield between 20-40 minutes, if the blower is run at a higher setting, the battery will drain faster. You would be looking at a possible extra 20-30 minutes run-time between the two batteries.
Alternatively additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time, here are some 80V options. Greenworks Pro 80V 4.0Ah (SKU 2983802/MODEL# BAB742). Greenworks 80V 5.0Ah (SKU 2902502/MODEL# GBA80500). Greenworks 80V 8.0Ah (SKU 2999402/MODEL# GBA80400).

The recharging station works (it makes a whirling sound when a different battery is in place). The second battery just has no indicator lights on or indicator lights when in the mower

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came "free" when buying a Greenworks snowblower as an additional battery (came like usual with a 4 amp hour battery, but they gave me a 'bonus' 2.0 amp hour battery as a promotional add-on). Can't complain about that! This 2 amp hour battery will almost do a three lane driveway (30 feet long). They re-charge super quick (about 20 minutes), so it's nice to have a spare so you can keep on working...

They charge pretty quickly so having an extra battery ensures there's almost no disruption in your work when the battery you're using dies.

I wasn't sure it would fit the 1st gen tools with the new case dedign, but it does fit and works fine. Got 5 years out of the original battery. Hopefully this one can do the same.

Greenworks 2.0 battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first thing I had to learn about the Greenworks 80 Volt (V) 2.0AH (Amp Hours) was what Volt and Amp Hours were - Volts is how much juice the battery can push out into the device, and Amp Hours is how long it can push that juice from fully charged to charge again. Greenworks batteries range from 2.0 AH to 8.0 AH. depending on how much power is needed for the tool type. Some products take multiple batteries, while others take only one. and small products need less AH than the bigger ones like lawnmowers. Be sure to look at the product specs to determine which battery is needed for each product so you can get the right battery for each device. This product when compared to other models is physically ligher but offers a shorter run time. It recharges quickly, in about 30 minute. It shares the same formeatures as the Greenworks - 80 Volt 4.0 AH Battery and can be charged in the same dock. I appreciated the rubber grips on the upper/ lower on the top and bottom of the outside edge of the battery to make it easier to grip when putting in and pulling out of tools. I appreciated the way the batteries can be swapped on the go with little or no downtime between. It is easy to grip and slip out of the charging dock as well, which can sit on the table or be mounted to the wall for up and out of the way use. The the battery charge indicater LED display is user-facing, and operated by the push of a button. No need to take off gloves or stop to check. You'll know in just a moment how much juice is left and when I'm in the groove, I like that there's no guesswork. One simple button tells me if I'm ready to go for the next job, or if the battery needs a top off. I would recommend picking up an additional charging dock and an additional battery or two if the products you have don't come with enough to have one charging while one is being used. The Greenworks - 80 Volt Pro Rapid Battery Charger (Model: 2901402) is Compatible with battery models GBA80200 and GBA400.
