Hello KishanramK. We appreciate this feedback. Blowers are considered a high-power draw application which means they do tend to drain the battery quite rapidly in comparison to some other tools. However, there are several variables that will affect how long a cordless leaf blower runtime lasts. Power setting. Using a higher power setting on the blower will drain the battery faster. Debris load. Blowing heavier debris requires more power, reducing battery life. Temperature. Extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) can decrease battery performance. Battery condition. Older or damaged batteries will have shorter runtimes. How to maximize battery runtime. Use the appropriate power setting. Select the power level needed for the task, avoiding unnecessary high-power usage. Maintain battery health. Store batteries properly, charge them fully before use, and avoid deep discharges. Consider additional batteries. Having multiple batteries allows for extended runtime by swapping them out when one runs low. You can use any Greenworks 80v battery in this unit. The higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is on a battery, the more run time it has to offer but it will.
We hope our tips and suggestions offer a better user experience. If you would like us to investigate the runtime you are getting start a Live chat on www.greenworkstools.com or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. GreenworksTools

Powerful and Battery Hungry Leaf Blower

The Greenworks 80v leaf blower is the first leaf blower I've ever owned. I decided electric was best for my use case because of the limited use it would receive and I appreciate the simplicity of it more. The build quality of the leaf blower is pretty solid. Its pretty durable plastic all around with "quick" disconnecting parts to make it easy to disassemble/reassemble or change the blowing pattern you're looking for. Now, given the size of the leaf blower and how the quick disconnects are designed make it not so quick to take apart. Its kind of unwieldly to try and take apart. If it gets dirty those quick disconnects don't work as well and you may end up fighting it a bit, but thats a minor complaint. As for performance, it works rather well. Greenworks rates it at 750CFM, which I have no reason to doubt. This thing moves some air. It includes a 'cruise control' slide to allow you to set a fan speed without having to hold down the trigger which I found handy as it reduced the fatigue of holding the trigger. Additionally there is a 'turbo' button that gives you a boost of air movement. I imagine its a turbo button instead of just full speed to save on battery life. Battery life is the only real concern here which is expected given what it is. The included 80v battery does a good job of providing enough power to the device, but I feel it falls a little short on battery life. At full speed (not turbo) you get about 20 to 30 minutes of use out of it. For my yard it took 3 charges with a little juice left over to finish up. Thankfully the charger makes short work of charging the massive battery up. It takes it to full charge in roughly 30 minutes. And while it doesn't have a notification sound when its done charging, you'll know its done because the really loud fan on it will finally turn off. That fan is obnoxiously loud, I recommend storing it in a garage away from anything with ears. Given the short battery life while using the device, it would have been nice to have an additional battery included so that you don't have to stop what you're doing to charge up. This is less of an issue if you have other Greenworks products though. Overall though, it did a great job clearing my back yard up (big back yard, about a quarte acre) and cleaning my gutters out.

Can I give it 6 stars? This has to be one of the best blowers I've ever had, corded or battery operated. In the box you will get a charger, a very heavy 80v battery, main blower, blower attachment and 2 blower nozzle. 1 wide and 1 for concentrated blowing. The charging base and the battery are quite big so take notice of this. But because this blower is so powerful, it would make total sense that it would need a large battery to produce that much energy. I have a medium/larger driveway that due to the way my house faces, will always have things blown onto it. So my driveway will always get a lot of debris, especially after a windy day. I've used all sorts of blowers from small handheld ones to larger corded ones. Each has it's benefits and drawbacks. But the Greenworks 80-volt made really quick work of my driveway. Not only was it powerful, but with the wide mouth nozzle, I could blow more areas quicker. Not only did the power blew me away, but the controls where also well laid out and very thoughtful. You have a trigger that gives you the option of variable speeds depending on how hard you push on the trigger. You have a thumb switch which will turn the blower to full power and keep it on without have to hold anything down, that same switch will also turn the blower off. There is also a turbo button if you have something really solid you need to blow away. I absolutely love it. There is only 1 downside, the battery life is good for about 10-15 minutes at full throttle, so if you need it for longer duration, consider buying extra batteries. Also, if you are frail or have weak hands, this might not be the blower for you. The unit with the battery installed is quite heavy and I can see it could fatigue someone frail quickly. Greenworks made an absolute gem with this blower

    Makes Leaf Blowing a Breeze!

Clearing fallen leaves can be fun or a chore depending on the tool employed. I have used rakes and leaf blowers in my experience to get the work done at times even alternating between the two. Greenworks’ 80-Volt 750 CFM Cordless Handheld Blower makes leaf blowing fun and I have not had to use another device since. Packaged Content: • Greenworks 80-Volt 750 CFM Cordless Handheld Blower • Flat and Tapered Nozzle Attachments • 2.5Ah Battery • Charger • Quick Setup Guide and Manuals At about 6 pounds, nearly four feet long, and about 6 inches wide, this leaf blower is fairly manageable. There are hooks for optional shoulder straps to make it easier to haul around. To put in perspective, my previous leaf blower was capable of about 120 mph maximum air speed compared to 170 mph produced by the Greenworks; maximum air volume are also 90 CFM and 750 CFM respectively. Night and day specifications which result in varying experiences I might add. Operation is simple via means of a trigger capable of producing variable speeds. The Cruise Control function helps set the speed and maintain so the user can take their finger off the trigger. The Turbo button will ramp up the air volume to the maximum 750 CFM when needed. I prefer the concentrator (wider) nozzle for routine leaf blowing. It helps deliver a much better “sweeping” effect in my opinion. The tapered nozzle produces a more forceful stream, ideal for removing more stubborn debris. Unlike their gas-powered variants, battery powered leaf blowers tend to be quieter. This Greenworks model came in at about 75 dB with the flat nozzle; the tapered nozzle registered a higher sound level at about 79 dB. A full charge lasted about 15 minutes with moderate to intense use. I also did use it in 30 F weather which may have contributed to the short run time. At the lowest setting, Greenworks states 60 minutes of runtime can be attained though; I personally have never had a task where I needed only the lowest setting for that period of time. The sheer power of this leaf blower makes it a real joy to use and you will find yourself carried away to keep “blowing” at the max power level, should your needs permit. Charging was quick in my experience. The diagnostic feature of the charger is very intuitive and advises a user rather quickly the current charging status or when battery becomes defective via an LED indicator. The temperature of the battery (either too hot or too cold) may prevent charging which is relayed to the user. Greenworks includes scenarios for deciphering false defective battery indicators and the process to verify. Greenworks 80-Volt 750 CFM Cordless Handheld Blower appears well built and should offer utility for a while. Should things go awry, the generous four year limited warranty should help you get back on track. While Greenworks offers shoulder straps as an optional accessory, I would have preferred inclusion with the purchase. It meets all my needs for leaf removal from a small yard and may even be useful for blowing off snow. I recommend.

Something different to try other than using a rake

So I got this leaf blower a couple of days ago though at the same time it has been a windy and rainy weekend and of course during this time of the year, there’s always a bunch of leaves that has fallen to the ground of course as were in winter. So around that time then I had charged the battery which the battery had an out two (out of three) lights on which I believe is a bit over 70percent charged out the box, and the charger has a fan so I figured it’s to keep the battery and charger cool during the charging period, though the fan noise isn’t that loud, it’s not quiet. The indicator lights blinking on the battery would indicate charging and what level and when they’re all steady it’s safe to say the battery would be fully charged, but the fan on the charger still was blowing.. anyway I just unplugged it. Today with regards to the weather, it has settled down with the sun barely out so I have tried out the leaf blower. For one, it can get heavy especially holding it with one hand. I don’t see a dual handle but just one. Though it may be some getting used to, this is my first time using a leaf blower vs the traditional raking of leaves (but I will still use a rake of course). It could be lighter for someone who does a whole lot of outdoor gardening and landscaping. The attachments of the middle tube and “end tube” with the different wind pattern (circular and.. elongated oval?) were easy to put on, but it was tough as nails when taking the middle long tube apart even though pushing the release latch. I used the “elongated oval” attachment tip as maybe it would focus on a wide long blowing pattern. While using the leaf blower, the farther you pull the trigger, the harder it blows. There is a “lever/handle” you can use instead and whatever position you leave it in will stay and that blowing level. I haven’t yet used the turbo button on top but will do so the next time especially when it’s more sun out and most of everything has dried. Overall, this is a good power tool which I will use in conjunction with raking leaves to a pile. The blower will blow the leaves in the direction I want it to but still some will be trapped in corners and underneath somewhere (under and outdoor table or bench). I’ll try the circular chrome tipped attachment next.

This blower is absolutely incredible to have in your garage or backyard, as it is quick, portable, and easy to use. Thanks to my two large oak trees and one large magnolia, I get a ridiculous amount of leaves throughout the year. In addition, I have neighbors on both sides who have giant live oak trees. So, throughout the year, I get a ridiculous amount of leaves, and somehow, my property attracts my neighbor's leaves, too. I like to use my blower frequently to avoid a considerable accumulation of leaves. Before owning this Greenworks cordless handheld blower, I used a corded blower once a week. Now, with my new Greenworks blower, I can use it every other day or every day. The blower arrived well-packaged. It comes with one 2.5 Ah lithium-ion battery, one fast charger, and two different blower end tips (nozzles). The battery has an onboard battery monitor that shows its power. The blower moves a tone of air. Depending on how hard you press the trigger, you can gradually increase or decrease the blow speed. There is a turbo mode boost button for added power and maximum airflow. What amazes me is that it is powerful, and at the same time, it is a bit quieter than other blowers I have used (corded or cordless). I am satisfied with the product, and I recommend it to those who want a quick and portable tool.

Powerful and gets the job done. However, the batteries (I bought 2) don’t seem to last as long in comparison to the other old batteries of the same type/size that I have for my old backpack version of this blower. Perhaps it’s because this blower is stronger than my old one thus pulling more energy from the battery. I definitely prefer my greenworks backpack blower because this one starts hurting the wrists after a bit, but it’s good for more concentrated use like getting stuck stuff blown out of corners etc.

I love how this thing looks, its easy to operate, and works well. It comes with two nozzles that are plastic and snap on, a large battery, a recharging stand, a strap, and the device itself. It is well balanced and kind of pushes behind you when operating, showing off the power it has, but you also start to feel it a bit in your wrist after using for while from pushing against it. But in general comfortable to hold. Start/stop is immediate. Power is consistent. I like that it has three different buttons. The first is the trigger which is variable allowing you to turn on/off quickly along with how much power. Additionally, if you want even more power, you can press the turbo mode button on the top. Last you have a dial which works like the trigger by being variable but maintains its position keeping constant power without the need for you to hold down the trigger. Overall volume is acceptable. It’s loud but not excessively so. I was able to spend about 30 minutes doing leaves in the winter and this got me through it. They report recharge time is 75 minutes. I found that it was a bit quicker than that. As I didn’t recharge the battery before using, it died during, then I recharged for about 10 minutes and that took me through the rest of it. It provides plenty of blowing power. They report 800 CFM of air volume and 200 mph. But I was using probably moderate amount of power. With turbo mode only I’m sure the battery life is a lot lower. With it being electric you can buy additional batteries. I would like it to last a bit longer but with the amount of power it aligns with my expectations. Overall build quality is good. No real complaints on my end. Does what I want it to well. Along with makes it so I don’t have to take a cord out. With it being electric no smell or anything else.

Purchased for parents who are mid 70s. I was concerned over weight and balance of machine. This has not been an issue and they love it. It is is not too heavy or cumbersome and has a ton of power. they especially like the adjustable air flow and also use it for light snow removal. A "no brainer" purchase when the free additional battery promo is offered in particular

It’s winter and too late for leaf blowing. But we charged it and it has a strong stream of air. It could blow off light snow and leaves. We haven’t really used it for anything but I’m optimistic that we’ll be very satisfied using it as a leaf blower.

Hello EileenA. Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this blower. The runtime is up to 60 minutes with 1 x 80V 2.5Ah battery on low setting. When adjusting the trigger speed to full, runtime can be up to 25-30 minutes with 1 x 80V 2.5Ah battery on high. Please keep in minds runtimes will vary. To extend your run time, try using it on a lower speed when high speed is not a requirement as this unit does draw quite a bit of power on high. Alternatively, additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with Greenworks 80V batteries. The higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be. We hope the above information has been helpful. Hello Antg67.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this blower. Higher speeds will drain your battery faster – think about your tasks and how you can vary your speed to conserve battery. Generally, lower speeds are best for light-duty tasks like blowing leaves off flower beds or clearing dust from a garage. Using lower settings also helps preserve battery power. Higher speed settings are for heavier tasks like blowing wet leaves, clearing debris, or quickly sweeping larger areas. Some models have turbo boost modes, which offer maximum power only while you’re pulling a trigger (this is helpful for stuck-on debris, like a few wet leaves at the bottom of a pile of dry leaves). Alternatively additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time, see links below. This unit is compatible with Greenworks 80V batteries; please keep in mind, the higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be.

Hello ASJR. Thank you for reaching out to us. A leaf blower can be considered too loud when it reaches decibel levels of 90–100 dB at the operator's ear. Greenworks 80V blower has a 72 dB vs gas equivalent blower. We are happy to hear you are pleased with the overall weight, power and battery life.
