Good at throwing snow, somewhat bulky and klutzy to maneuver, although this is mansion on multiple online reviews. As a hole, I found it useful for stairs and smaller areas that it’s hard to get out with a snowblower.

Powerful. Can handle 6 inches of snow without a problem.

Convenient because it's battery operated It is a little cumbersome to manage in terms of heaviness. Probably would be better if it had wheels. Throws the snow very far. Not sure if there is a way to control that better. It does clear the snow down to the pavement.

Good product for the price. Easy to set up and use. However, a little bit heavy towards the lower end.

Used this brand new Greenworks electric snow shovel today on 5 inches of snow. It worked great, so much easier than shoveling by hand! (1) Don't shovel against the wind, or the wind will blow the snow back on your body. (2) The 2AH battery doesn't have enough power capacity, so it would last only a few minutes. We have two 4AH Batteries from other Greenworks devices, so the short battery runtime of the original 2AH battery is not an issue. If you don't have spare batteries, you will need to stop shoveling and recharge the 2AH battery frequently to finish the job. (3) Overall, this is a very nice small electric snow shovel.

Very powerful throwing snow. Good battery life and charging is very fast. Little on the heavy side. But I love it.

Compared this with the competitors on Consumer Reports and then double checked with Best Buy and Amazon reviews. This one by Greenworks definitely delivers. It's crazy how far it throws snow! It is a bit front heavy. Only critique . . . it's too difficult to remove the battery; it needs a place to grab to pull the battery out. Aside from that, this sure beats having to buy a snow blower for small walk-ways and areas. Super easy to use. I recommended it to my sister-in-law, and she bought it, too . . . also loves it!

Very heavy unit. Does blow the snow a long way. It would be nice if you could direct where the snow goes. I moved the offhand handle lower otherwise I would have had no chance of lifting the power shovel.

I wasn't sure if this will help me, but I don't have space to store a big snow removal machine, but this past weekend I completed my snow removal in 1 hour, when the normal time to me was 2 or 3 hours, (with one break) I'm a 50 years old woman, I don't feel that this shovel is heave, have big battery and 1 hour work take only the 40% of the battery.

Great power. Wish it had adjustable vane for snow throwing. Can get by pushing in 45 degree angle when needing to throw snow in different direction. Charges up super fast. Have only removed up to 4” of snow so far. I think it could easily handle 8”.

I haven't needed to use this as of yet, but I can say it's very easy to assemble. Also, it is pretty heavy, so I am a little concerned about actually using this to remove snow! I bought it for the C/R reviews for heavy/tall snow removal. 80v seems to be the strongest of them all (and BB had the best price). Another concern will be that the discharge is not adjustable/steerable, it only will shoot straight ahead. I will see!

Hello cgk70. Thank you for sharing your experience with the 80V 12" Snow Shovel. We are glad to hear that assembly was easy and that you are impressed with the power of the 80V system designed to handle heavy and tall snow efficiently.
We understand that the unit is a bit heavier and that the discharge shoots straight ahead, which can require some extra care when maneuvering. Despite this, many users find its compact, powerful design makes snow removal faster and easier than with manual methods.

It's pretty powerful however the weight of the tool is too much for me. I tried once and it worked but I got very tired after the use. I would recommend it for someone who is strong enough.

Works great but is quite heavy. From closet to front walkway in seconds.
