    Great battery-powered snowblower!

First battery-powered electric snowblower I've owned, but so far I love it! The instructions for putting together the handles leaves much to be desired (thankfully I found a video on Greenworks' YouTube channel that explained it better). For the snowblower experience, this is not a self-propelled blower, but so far in removing 3 inches of fluffy powdered snow and six inches of fluffy snow with an ice layer on top, I've not had any issues with moving it. The lever to move the snow chute's direction is very convenient and easy to use, and the physical lever to adjust the angle on the chute works fine even when it's iced over. The snowblower is super quiet during operation too, so I have no issues waking up early or staying up late to get the job done. I'd say it's about 25% as loud as a traditional gas-powered snowblower. It's a lot easier to start too! Hold a button, then pull & hold the activation lever to begin throwing snow! No messing with a gas engine, pulling a cord, nothing! For battery life, I have a "typical Midwest subdivision" sized driveway, and the battery has about 30% remaining when I'm done. The battery charges in about 1 hour when it's inside the house. It takes a lot longer when it's in a cold area like a garage. I did buy an additional battery, and it's nice that I can have one battery plugged into the unit and another waiting to be swapped in just waiting in the same battery compartment on the snowblower itself. I've only used it a few times, but so far so good!!

I appreciate the easy operation and low maintenance of Greenworks products. This snow thrower handled the recent blizzard in Minnesota. I had to go out more than once, so the snow didn’t get too deep. Took some extra effort to clear the pile from the plow, but it managed. Battery can finish a 2 car driveway and recharges quickly.

First big snowfall gives 8-9 inches of light to medium weight Minnesota snow today and tried out the new snowblower. It didn't seem to throw it very far, maybe 10-15 feet, but it sure ate up those inches well for it's size! I have a 75' drive that is 2-3 cars wide and the one 4ah completed about 3/4 of it, including the heavy plowed snow at the end. I used two more 2ah batteries to go completely side to side, plus up the street along the curb 100 feet. Not sure what to expect for battery life but that's pretty darn good for a single-stage machine. One pic with glove shows the heavy snow at the end you can move by shaving off the top layer first, then scraping the surface on second pass. Best to clear about 10-12 inches wide per pass at that depth.

I very much enjoy not having to worry about gas/oil with a traditional snow blower, and this thing has done a good job of handling all the snow we’ve got recently. It does seem to struggle a bit with some of the heavy wet stuff, especially if its been compacted by a snow plow, but overall I’m satisfied with my purchase so far.

Purchased this cordless, battery-operated, snow blower after attempting to use an electric (w/extension cord) version of Greenworks Snow Blower. The electric worked, great but dealing with the extension cord was a major pain. I could not be happier with this purchase and wish I would have went with the battery-operated from the start! This double driveway took less than 15 minutes and according to the battery indicator, used only half the battery (for about 1" of snow). I plan to purchase another battery, just to make sure I'm covered for heavier snowfall, but overall I LOVE this snowblower! Highly recommend for anyone looking for snowblower that is easy to assemble, does not need gas/oil, and is easy to start and use. Greenworks checked ALL the boxes for what I was looking for.

Man this thing is a beast. Plenty of power, quiet, battery lasts for my whole driveway and the sidewalks. I ran it about 25 minutes in fairly heavy wet snow (3 inches) and it still had one bar left on the battery. It doesn't throw wet snow very far, 5 feet or so but I don't think any single stage snow blower does. It's light enough to maneuver but solid enough to do the job. My sister-in-law has the 21 in, 80v model below this one and the 22 inch is definitely more rugged. The 22 inch model also has the rubber paddle. It handles small sticks and rocks. The 21 inch model has a plastic paddle and it sounds like it's going to ruin the paddle if you hit a stick or gravel. I can already see wear and tear on the 21 inch model. The paddle on the 22 inch looks fine. I thought the lights were kind of a gimmick but they do a great job lighting the area if you are working after dark.

Trying to be positive on this review - first off I wish I had spent the money for a gas blower. As someone with a steep driveway, this may have been a bad choice. Assembly - there is a mistake on the instructions, I had to remove the handle fasteners as this has the foldable handle. There should have been a supplement to the instructions for this unit. Other than that it was easy Use - well its biggest drawback is it is not self propelled. It does require some muscle (well a lot at times!) to move this through the snow. I have an uphill driveway so I have to go side to side and still find myself slipping down. It does throw and you can adjust its chute from side to side but must do the up and down manually. It did not clog for me at all but throwing distance is just okay - not as far as gas but pretty decent. Battery - I bought an extra (best price I could find was $230, average price is $300) to be safe. It will store both onboard but you manually need to swap them in their slots to use a fresh one, only one slot is connected to power. Battery life and power is good, I can do almost my whole driveway before having to switch and I have a large drive. Conclusion - You get what you pay for, it will never be as good as gas goes in power and motivation (drive) but no gas to deal with or storage issues in the summer (stabilizer, etc) - so far so good, I do like the folding handle as well for storage. Plastic does feel a little cheap compared to the sheet metal of a gas blower but so far so good.

So far so good! Seems to handle the wet stuff pretty good (was about 2-3 inches of very wet snow). I did notice that it sounded like it was bogging down but the actual performance didn't seem too impacted. I used this on a gravel driveway after adjusting the front skids and it seems to handle it no problem. If you have a very loose driveway you probably will want to look elsewhere, mine was fairly compact and they do not recommend using it on gravel. Assembly was pretty easy but not the most straight forward. Guide could have used better instructions / better visuals. A video guide would be perfect. If your driveway can hold about 6 cars, I think you can make it with one charge. If you can have more than that, would HIGHLY recommend having additional batteries.

very good quality and powerful . so far i used to remove ~ 7-8 inchs of wet heavy snow and it was very good . i cleaned a 3 car garage plus sidewalks on a single charge. it was relatively easy to assemble and it's way to use . i would say instructions could have been better, but not a big deal

Im surprised how good this actually is with blowing snow for it being electric, depending on if the snow is wet or fluffy I can get the job done a single charged battery, and I have a corner lot so I have to do my driveway and the sidewalk and when im done I still have a good amount of juice left on the battery. Im also impressed with how far it actually can throw the snow. I do also like how quiet it is and the lights on the snowblower is a really nice extra feature. I would just recommend to get the rapid charger as well because if it does die on you it charges quicker since I believe it has to cool off the battery before it can start to charge it, the other downside is that the batteries are expensive if you want to have an extra one on had, but if you have other greenworks tools that use a 80v battery then you can use the same battery which is nice but otherwise its a great snowblower

Bought this layer Fall 2020 in anticipation of a lot of snow for Winter 2021 and no more shoveling! My husband did our driveway, in front of mailbox, and walkway in less than 30 min. We got about 4 to 5 inches. He had to stop a few times to unclog the chute a little. He says the wheels don't move as he would like. Overall it is awesome and no more back breaking shoveling. Both batteries charged in less than 2 hours. Definitely worth the money!

I just have to say wow! I love this machine, although it was a bit difficult to put together, Utube helped with that. It could do with better instructions. Easy to use with great battery life. It really threw the heavy, wet snow as well as my previous gas powered blower. Plus I really liked the headlamp. One caveat, when it is really cold, bring the charger indoors or the battery will not charge.

Honestly, it's out performed my expectations in every aspect. I can clear all of my 3 car driveway in a charge, then the 2.5 battery I have will do all of the hill up, and my porch/walkway. Snow drifts like crazy out here and this handled the foot and change in snow that accumulated in the driveway overnight without flinching. I had to tilt it up first to grab the top layer, but after a pass or two I had a system figured out. As long as you keep it fed wih snow and knock off any buildup it launches it far enough to not get in the way of itself. It doesnt do awesome with super wet/very heavy snow, but none of the single stage ones can move that well in my experience. One downside I've found is that it does temp out when it gets really cold. The only time it happened to me was well under 0°f, and it still lasted a good 20 minutes before it started flashing at me so still enough time to get a good bit cleared.

Relatively easy to assemble (especially when your Son-in-Law does it! ;) ) Extremely easy to operate. Light weight. The only small strike that I would give it is that I would have like to have seen a 2nd battery. Add it to the package cost, it would be worth it! Finding one myself, was time consuming and not inexpensive. Still happy!

Worked as expected. Was easily able to handle 5 inches of snow, cant wait to try even more. Would definitely recommend two batteries as it doesnt have a long run time. Quite, light weight. Impeller is rubberized. Chute clogs with moist snow which limits discharge distance. Great product for drive way and side walks. If snow is less than 1 inch, best to use hand Snow Plow and push snow into a mound and then use Greenworks snow blower to disperse snow.
