I am using the Griffin Retractable Charging Cable in my car so I may maintain a clean appearance, especially when not charging my iPhone. I like that I have the option to charge micro-USB and Lightning devices though the adaptor is quite large (maybe 2 inches) when you attach the lighting connector to the standard Micro-USB. Construction feels solid but I feel that the length of the cord when extended should definitely be longer. 3 or 4 feet would have been nice. One difference compared to the retractable cord I replaced (that broke) is that the Griffin appears to only open to full length and not different lengths.

With few options available for retractable USB connections that are of high quality, this one does a pretty decent job. Functionally has been good for the 1 week I've been using it. I do think it may end up being a bit flimsy with the Apple connection (which I have not used). But so far, so good.

Figured this was a good option for my Suburban and 5 kids in tow. 2 in 1 and not likely to get lost. Drawback is the cord length isn't very long. Good for stand alone charging. Not so good for active phone use while charging.

Difficult to use. Cord not long enough if using item being charged.

These chargers are very well made and will absolutely last a long time if you take care of them. While some might worry about the retractable cord, I've found that these last if you carefully pull from both sides and gently retract when finished. I've never had an issue with any phone I've used with these chargers. Given their quality and stylish look, I keep several in places I need them most - cars, bags, work desk, and so on. I highly recommend them. They are even better if you pair them with a USB-C adapter, as then you can charge three types of phones with ease. Highly recommended!

A must have when I drive since I am able to view all calls.

This little gadget solves a serious problem for me. Both of my mobile chargers require adapters to be usable with my iPhone. The originals supplied were tiny little caps for the end of the iPhone cord. You can guess what happened: within a couple of weeks, the tiny caps had disappeared. I assume that I had sucked them up in my vacuum cleaner because they had been knocked to the floor. This multi-use cord solves the problem. It is big enough to prevent the kind of loss I experienced, so I can once again use my mobile chargers when I travel. I have not used it long enough to be sure of durability, thus, the lack of a fifth star. May I say, I am once again beholden to the expertise of Best Buy floor staff. I would never have found this on my own!!! Thank you!!!

Nothing extraordinary, but it'll do very well in a pinch, or especially for travelling, due to its minimal design. Much handier than having to switch out cables for different phones.

I like its flexible and gives me space to charge different devices together so that I could access them while working on my station or while driving.

The quality of this leaves a lot to be desired; it lasted 2 months before the tangle-free cord refused to retract properly and tangled.

This handy unit is great for traveling especially for those of us who have a Sampson and an iPad I can charge either so I only have to carry one charger

I have an iPhone with a mophie case. This is excellent in my car because it's compact and I can use it to charge my Apple devices and my phone when it has the mophie case on it. I don't need to have two different cords in my car. The best thing about it is when I am charging my phone in the mophie case in my car it actually reads and will play car play. Other micro USB chargers I've used in my car didn't allow my car to be able to play through car play.

USB + Lightning connectors, retractable and portable. What else is there to say? Great Product!

Bought this a while back. Worked great for a couple months then the lock for the cable broke. Now the cable stays retracted.

I'm a driver, for Uber, and I needed a handy way to allow riders to charge their phones. Not know knowing which type of plug they needed, this cable allowed me to provide both micro and lightning connections, with one compact device. I've gotten nothing but compliments from riders on it's effectiveness.

It works as it is supposed to, but it is very difficult to connect and disconnect the adapter. I do get it done, but it doesn't connect/disconnect without a lot of effort. They are small and my 62 year old fingers don't have the grip they used to have.

Use in car and the retractable option works great! Enough cord when extended fully for use with either I-phone or I-pad when in passenger seat! Car has Apple Play and is a SUV!
