Customers value the durability and magnetic attachment of the Magnetic Power Cable, citing its sturdy construction and convenient connection as key benefits. However, some users noted that the USB-C connector and the cable's size could be improved. The magnetic feature is appreciated for its ease of use and protection against accidental disconnections. Concerns were raised about the cable's potential incompatibility with certain cases and the risk of damage to the USB-C port.

I love the idea of having the magnetic charger for my MacBook instead of the charger that comes with the computer but the magnet isn't very strong and easily falls out.

Very happy with the functionality of the cord though it could be a lot less bulky. The tendency is to leave it in your macbook so when you store it away in a sleeve you have to consider the orientation of the macbook in the sleeve.

This item has so much potential, it did not live up to its hype. I was disappointed. Apple does not use the magnetic power cable anymore so I purchased this one but I was disappointed.

This product would do much better if the magnetic connection were a little bit smaller and could stay in the laptop at all times.
The metal sleeve on the connection to the computer is not very well made and started to slide after just one week.

I liked the idea of this magnetic USB-C cable but found that it didn't make a good connection every time. When charging, I would hear it connect and disconnect randomly...I ended up returning it.

Not for the 15" MacBook Pro

I placed an order for this but cancelled after reading on Griffin's website that this cable is NOT FOR THE 15" MacBook Pros. I was very excited to find a MagSafe alternative but this cable can only handle power at up to 60 watts. The 15" charger is an 87 watt charger, so it is not compatible. Though it says it is rated to 60 watts, Griffin has on its website that it will work fine with the 13" MacBook Pro even though it comes with a 61 watt charger. Hope this helped save someone some time and energy! I would recommend this for 12" MacBook and 13" MacBook Pro users. Hoping Griffin comes out with one for the 15" Pro soon!

I was surprised how disappointing this cable was, after reading the positive review on Best Buy. I as looking for a replacement for the old MagSafe cables, for use with my new 2016 MacBook Pro. The cable separates under the weight of its own cable. It may be satisfactory for a permanent desktop installation, where you don't plan to move the laptop, but want the safety of the MagSafe type connection to prevent accidents. But for use on your lap or if you are moving the unit, it is frustrating and does not hold nearly as well as the previous MagSafe, which in turn never held as well as the original. It didn't take long before I unplugged it and went back to the original cable. This thing is going back unforutnately.
