Purchased this case for my iPhone 8 Plus work phone. Really protects the phone from a few falls!

This case is truly amazing it does its job to the fullest. It’s really sturdy and was very easy to put on. Not bulky at all. Came in a very beautiful color as well!

Tried one from my cell provider, decent but fair was not reached Until I purchased Griffin, happy with every griffin purchase I've made!

The clip that holds the case was broken within a month and after purchase. No worth the price

After cracking the glass on my iPhone 7+, I decided to get a more solid case with a screen protector. This case is definitely solid! It adds a bit of heft to the phone, but it makes it feel much less vulnerable. I like that it's got smooth plastic and no rubbery surfaces that pull my pockets inside out when I get it out. The shortcomings: 1 - The screen cover makes images from the front-facing camera a bit fuzzy. I'd like a hole there. 2 - The little membrane covering the touch sensor became pretty slack after a while and I eventually just removed it. 3 - The case prevents me from putting the phone on my dock, so I remove it every night. However, you must be careful when putting the phone back in the case, as the switches for the ringer and power might not align with the outer case perfectly if you're not careful. At least once I found myself with a ringing phone that I couldn't turn off until I opened the case. Overall though, it's a great case if you want something really protective and don't use a lighting-port dock or take a ton of selfies.

First, I am an Otterbox fan, but I was looking for the same great protection in a thinner profile. Affixing the 2 part case around the phone was easy. Take note...the simple instructions are hidden inside the case. Like the Otterbox cases this one snaps firmly in place. I definitely like the belt clip. Unlike other clips, this one snaps closed so that it doesn't fall off your belt. The swivel feature isn't as firm and tight as other brands but still works fine. This definitely should be considered as an alternative to Otterbox if you are interested in a slimmer design.

Case is great! Only issue is the sound quality decreases because of the screen protector. I cut it out and slapped on another tempered glass screen protector and the sound from the phone is back to normal. Other than that I really like it. Was a avid otter box user but this one still goes in and out of your pockets with ease!

Always looking to protect my IPhone thought I’d go more durable. Product was recommended by sales associate so I thought why not. Fit and finish were good and easy to use. Only drawback is when you go to speakerphone you sound muffled and garbled to other party.

This phone case is great for those who tend to work in environments where dropping your phone would experience a little bit more than a normal impact. Places where there are some oils/fluids and steel ledges exist make this case useful to have. The phone holder that attaches to your belt makes it very easy to access your phone when you need it. I like it, but... The water resistant part that covers the main speaker for talking on the phone makes it really hard to hear people on the phone. If you really need the protection for your phone.. you may want a Bluetooth Headset to go with it. The case protects everything but the phone camera lens, LED, and mic. I would be concerned about mud, sand, or oil hurting your camera. The rest of the case would help protect the phone for a short duration when exposed to fluids. The extra screen protection layer reduces the response of the touch screen making it frustrating to use the phone after putting the phone into the case. You get used to it, but you have to press down a little more to use the phone. This may be frustrating for some people since the screen protector is not an optional part of the case. In addition, the screen protector doesn't offer the same protection as a screen protector that you normally put on your phone.. so it is only great for extra scratch protection and fluid resistance. I like the case, but there are some downsides that come with protecting your phone with this case.

I'm pretty rough and careless with my smartphones, so I've traditionally used Otterbox Defenders to protect my phones from me. I ordered an iPhone 8 Plus with an Otterbox Defender 2 weeks ago, but my carrier sent me a purple case. That just wasn't going to work. I decided to drop into Best Buy to see if they had it in a more masculine color. Surprisingly, they only had purple cases too. I stumbled upon the Griffin Survivor while seeking an alternative. It claimed to be tough and it was the color black. I decided to give it a go. It was a little clumsy getting on at first, but other than that, it's been doing a great job of absorbing falls, dings, and scratches. I'd definitely use a Survivor again. I only gave it 4 stars because I've only used it for a week or so. If it gets me through the life of my phone, believe you me, I'll give it 5.

No-brainer. Case that includes screen protection, with a belt clip under $50. Only down side sound gets a little muffled but not bad.

The case protects the phone very well. Sound quality suffers some due to the thickness and water proofing of the case. The front side built in screen protector causes a glare around most images.

So good that I can’t turn my ringer off! But I love the color, the ease of getting the phone in and out of case, and the overall protection it provides. Just got to figure out the ringer issue.

I work in the concrete construction field, so toughness is key. I had a previous model on my iPhone 5s that withstood a fall at 45mph; so I know the brand is good at protecting phones. This case provides ample protection and is easy to use. My only complaints are the face shield is a bit bubbled on the upper corners and the microphone gets muffled. These are minor concerns when considering the amount of protection provided.

Case is easier to handle as it is thinner than the otter box defender that offers similar protection. Huge issue for me is that you cannot talk on facetime, speaker phone or any call for that matter as no one can hear you speaking. So you have to use a Bluetooth. I think you would have to cut out the speaker covers to make work. Not willing to destroy my case to try this. After purchasing I did read reviews and found that almost all reviewers have the same problem. Good protection. Bad sound...

This case protects the iPhone 8 Plus well. Only bummer part about is it’s a little too bulky for my taste. But that’s expected with a bigger phone

I bought these case for my iPhone 8 plus and it fits well. I dropped my phone twice because I thought that I was able to secure it in it's clip and it fell waist high. It did protect the phone, but I just gave it 4 stars because the plastic protection covers the front camera and it is hazy when taking selfies in certain condition and the sound suffers too. I like this product for drop protection and because the phone itself is already waterproof, I might as well punch an opening for the front camera and remove the speaker protection in the future.

I’ve been eyeing either the Otterbox or Survivor case for a while but never bought it because of the price. Glad I chose the Survivor. The material is durable but not bulky and it comes with a screen cover which is helpful in keeping the elements away. I like the sleek look and knowing my phone is fully protected.

The case is sturdy and covers the phone. It also covered my speakers which made me sound to others like I was in a hole. I have an iPhone 7 Plus. The speakers are at the bottom. I would recommend it for another brand

I was going to buy a black Otter Box when I purchased my iPhone 7 Plus. They did not have a black one. I looked through the different cases but everything looked really cheap and was priced too high. I noticed this case at the very bottom. I immediately liked it because it is as if Otter Box and the Life Proof Case had a baby. I popped out the plastic screen because I have a glass screen protector on my phone. It made it difficult to touch things once and the home button was difficult to press. That is not an issue because I pop off all the plastic screens that come with a protective case for my phones. I would have given this 5 stars but the only thing that I do not like is the silence/ringer switch. It is too loose. I highly recommend this product. I have dropped it a couple time on concrete and there are no scratches or dents on the case. It comes with a belt clip that doubles as a stand for watching videos. The phone can clip inwards or outwards. I will buy this product for future phones.
