This case fits and feels nice but it’s quite heavy. I still recommend it because it feels protective.

Once I had my new iPhone XR (product Red) in hand, I wasn’t certain that I wanted to cover up the beautiful color of my new phone with a protective case; even though it would be a good idea to do so, for obvious reasons. The phone was just so pretty, and I really liked that this model, as others had in the past, has the glass back, instead of simply brushed aluminum. However, the phone is somewhat large for my smallish hand, being slightly bigger than my previous model. And the finish, while shiny and smooth (and pretty), did feel slippery while I was holding it. So I took all that into consideration, and weighed my options. Then came Black Friday. While not one to venture out on this day of days, my friend convinced me to go to Best Buy with her. After wandering about for a bit (during which time my friend went foraging for a new Smart TV), I happened upon the cell phone case section. It was there I saw it - a clear, thick rubber cover made to fit my new iPhone XR! Of course, I took the case out and examined it. The brand, Griffin was one I was well familiar with, as was, the line of “Survivor” products. And yet still, I debated. Eventually, I purchased the item. After all, it was on sale (yay!), and could always be returned if I changed my mind. I never opt for getting a screen protector, because I would rather be able to actually touch the glass, and feel that immediate tactile response. But it is the screen which people worry about scratching, cracking, or breaking, most often from dropping the device. This was also a concern for me, and yet ... What I appreciated about the Griffin Survivor Case, was that once the phone was encased snugly within the clear rubber, there is a rounded raised ‘lip’ around the edge of the cover which, in essence, may prevent the front screen from making contact with a hard surface, if the phone is dropped face down. In addition, the rubberized material would seem to act as a sort of shock absorber, if the phone were to be dropped, or handled roughly. Although the clear rubber of the case does change the look of my red iPhone, the cut-out area on the back where the camera is, shows the nice bright red color as it’s meant to be. Perhaps that is enough. Suffice to say, that now, I’ve no worries about being able to securely hold my phone in my hand; and so far, the Griffin Survivor Case is doing a fine job of protecting my new iPhone. One thing worth mentioning here - please be careful inserting your iPhone into the case, as the rubber isn’t flimsy or thin, but rather stiff. Only use as much pressure as necessary, along the sides. I’ve not taken my phone out of the protective case, yet, but would encourage the same careful consideration when doing so. Overall, I do highly recommend this Griffin Survivor Strong Case for Apple iPhone XR.

great case for my sons new iPhone. It went on very easily, the clear color obviously works to showcase the phone and the color and the protection especially on the corners looks sturdy. It also seems to have a good grip for the hands so I think this case should be great. We haven't dropped the phone to really test it and don't aim to, but the case looks great and works fine so far.

My son bought this for his new iPhone. It is really nice because it is a see through case which allows your phone to be protected but at the same time you see the actual phone color which is exactly what he wanted

Was for granddaughters phone. Did not like bulky case, but she used this one. She said it worked as she dropped her phone a couple of times at work.

Product seems very durable. It's easy to install on the iPhone and the corner bumpers appear to give added protection that could help if the phone was dropped.

I got this case at a great price. Since it’s clear it lets you show off your iPhone Xr colors. Case is sturdy and has protected phone from a couple drops.

Basically bought this guy to help protect the phone, it's clear so it shows off the color and pretty sturdy while still retaining some flexibility, that's all I need of it.

I wanted a sturdy case that did not cost a lot of money - this one fits the bill! It isn’t bulky and I am able to grip the phone easily.

Phone felt very protected, but the plastic thickness made magnetic mounts and cordless chargers unuseable. If you don’t use either, this is a good, affordable option.

Was looking for a slim clear case so I could keep my phone in my pocket. I had a magpul bumpcase for my old phone which was amazing based on how many times I dropped it. Unfortunately they don’t make a case for my new phone. The clear plastic is reallly more hard rubber and has a pretty good drop rating. I actually dropped my phone down a few steps and no issues. The case isn’t glass clear but still pretty good. The outside edges are a little thicker than I’d like but guessing that’s where the drop protection comes from. But still thicker than magpul case. So far so good.

I bought this case because it helps show off my new phone but also provides ample protection without being bulky.

This clear case is very grippy. Will protect the phone and yet you can still see the beauty of the phone.

I usually get a dark case, but I thought I would try a clear case because I just got the new XR in product Red and want to see it more often than not. This case is sturdy, affordable, and is durable. I have had no issues with it, it bends easily enough to take off your phone with no issues and no pressure on the phone or buttons. It looks good and other reviews and ratings say that protects the phone well. It's great!

This case is strong, easy to install and remove. Plus the security of extra drop protection

The phone case fits so tight on the Apple iPhone XR that it cracked when I tried to remove it on the day after I bought it. Having said that, the case, even with the crack, is still doing its job and it seems to be very protective for the phone. It definitely insulates the phone from drops and scratches. I love the case, just be sure to remove it with even pressure if you ever need to remove it.
