It took me a little while to adjust to the new guitar they have come out with, but once I did the game is a blast. It's definitely more difficult than it used to be, but it's also more gratifying when you can get through that tough song with 100%.

Excellent and extensive song list, the addition of the crowds in the background make it seems more realistic. New system makes it feel like you are playing a real guitar.
Having a wonderful time with family and friends playing this awesome game!

First thing if you want this for playing the live aspect part of the game. Chances are you'll be very disappointed. The band actors are dreadful the sound is way off from the lip syncing. Thus the reason for 3 stars, would've been lower but the new guitar and music video play feature saved it. It's definitely a lot of fun and the new guitar is awesome. Hopefully they'll add six more at the bottom for solos.

Quite a change from the old games but fun. Feels like you're playing real chords. Online music channels are my favorite parts. May be better to just learn real guitar...

Our kids have been obsessed and play almost every day after school. Much harder than the old guitar hero. More challenging with the black and white keys.

This game is as fun as the old Guitar Hero games. The GHTV function is awesome because it allows for endless game play in several different genres.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It's a blast having a game you can play with family. New guitar set up is well done, and easy to adjust to. Song selection is pretty solid and new . free online lets you try new songs that are constantly changing. You also have the option pay to have save songs. I only gave it four star as the initial game set up is a little confusing and cumbersome. Additionally you can only play with two people at a time. I bought the two guitar combo with free promo mic but can't use all three at the same time.

The new guitar configuration is outstanding and definitely more sturdy than the early versions. Very easy and fun to play. Worth it to get the 2 guitars over waiting to recharge and play with one

I must say that I absolutely love guitar hero, however I am dissapointed by the game. I do not like the button layout or the game itself. I really love the old guitar hero, the songs were much better, and i like how it was a career mode. all they did was complicate it. This game is not for me, ill stick to ps2 guitar hero

This is amazing. I debated buying this GH LIVE, not sure how the new approach with 6 buttons would be. .. it's great! Love the new level of difficulty it brings to the table.

I really like the risks they took with the new guitar hero. The live mode (career) is awfully cheesy but fun initially. GHTV is where the game truly shines though. Think 90's MTV music videos that you play along to with curated tracks, upgrades to unlock, and 2 different channels to choose from depending on music tastes. The new guitar, in concept, is awesome, as it more closely resembles actually playing chords and as a long time expert-level player it was really fun to "learn" again and have to build my skills up through the higher difficulties. However the build quality of the guitars is...lacking. Buttons squeaked initially and after 20 hours of play a couple stopped registering completely. I found some fixes on Youtube and after performing some DIY maintenance the guitar is working even better than out of the box, but it is certainly irritating as no other plastic instruments I've owned have needed this even after putting over 100 hours in. The problems with the guitars are widespread. Be prepared going in or splurge for the geek squad coverage just in case.

The graphics are incredible. Takes a little getting used to the new peripheral. But the concept makes much more sense than the candy colored button on the previous guitars.

Guitar Hero: Rise from your grave!

After laying dormant for many years, Guitar Hero finally makes a return! This time the guitar has a new layout: two rows of three buttons at the top of the neck. This is what you've come to love from the series, but just mixed up. I deducted one star because local multiplayer is weird and player 2's score doesn't save and they must join in after the song begins. This bundle also includes a $10 Guitar Hero store credit, so you can get some more songs for free.
