My daughter got this for Christmas and absolutely loves it! The songs are great and the audio and visuals are fantastic.

Great reboot on the old rythem game. I would recommend this game.

The button layout changed to 6 buttons instead of the original 5. Not hard at all to adapt.

New guitar, new songs, new Live experience. Worth the upgrade.

This is a great game to play with the family. We play with two guitars and a usb microphone so 3 people can play at the same time. I wish I could pick the station I wanted to play but they have different options come on a 2 hour cycle. For example, a different genre of songs to play comes up randomly every 2 hours but the songs that they provide have been fun, familiar, and good. You can also win points that you can use toward purchasing a song that you really want to play but if you don't have the points you can't just choose to play it. Overall good game and worth the $30 I paid.

The "live" version of Guitar Hero has a new controller and is supposed to be more "realistic." I never tried the old version, but got this one for my daughter. The guitar and action are fun, and the live video does make it a bit more immersive. The problem I have is with the guitar controller itself. The first one we purchased had one button that simply refused to work. Took that one back to BB for an exchange and brought the new one home. Worked for a day, and then a different button stopped working on that one. I decided to give it a couple of good taps on the back and the button started working again. We will keep an eye on it to see if it keeps working until the return/exchange period runs out...

Very challenging and fun. Keeps family entertained.

New features, buttons provide comfortable gameplay

coming from the old guitar hero with the five color keys this game is much harder than expected...and the levels of hardness are huge gaps between each other so its either way to easy to pretty tough to complete the song with a good rating/score.

We owned the original Wii Guitar Hero and really loved it, so when this one came out for the Wii U, we were excited to purchase it. The new guitar design takes a little to get used to if you are used to the old design, but after you adjust, it is just as fun as ever. Like that you can sing with it too!

Our family really enjoyed playing this game together. We have an 11 y/o boy and 9 y/o girl. There are age appropriate songs for everyone and even if someone doesn't feel like "playing" they still enjoyed watching and laughing at the rest of us trying. We received the microphone as part of the package also. The first guitar we received started failing within a week. The buttons would stick or not work at all. My husband returned it to the store and they exchanged with no problems. The new one seems to be working just fine.

Nice twist on the milked franchise. Hopefully they take it slow this time and let each game stand on it's own again rather than flood the market again and make everyone forget about it. Always enjoyed these games and have had fun with this one. Go for it if you want more music gaming action.

If you liked Guitar Hero in the past you will probably like this game. However, it is not as fun as the original, and there is a major jump in difficulty when you go to the final difficulty level. Overall it is a fun game to own for the Wii U and the new is a nice touch, but I prefer the original controller.
