Customers are positive about the gameplay, new guitar design, and ease of use, with many praising the improved controller and button layout. However, customers are negative about the game's difficulty and the steeper learning curve compared to previous versions. Some also experienced issues with lag, particularly online. The updated features, while generally well-received, presented some challenges for players.

Lots of great songs and updated guitar, but a little harder than I wanted it to be . I would recomend it if you want a more challenging guitar hero.

It takes some time to get used to the guitar (I was used to the older versions) but once you get the hang of it, it's a blast especially if you have the microphone to rock out with someone.

The new layout of the guitar makes the game a bit more challenging, but fun none the less. Wish it was Bluetooth so I wouldn't have to worry about misplacing the dongle.

I like the live performances and the crowd's interaction. The guitar has been improved and seems closer to a real guitar now. Good list of songs. All in all a fun game.

I missed the GH games. The new guitar is great and it adds a new difficulty level since I was playing at expert on the other games. My favorite part is GHTV. Watching the music videos took me back to when MTV was actually playing music videos instead of "Reality TV" I really like it.

Game is given a nice twist to make it stand out from the past guitar hero games. Although there is still an issue whit latency that can't seem to get fixed.

The game is everything it was back in the day minus the new control scheme on the guitar. Took me a few hours to get the hang of it but it's a great game. I beat the whole game in one sitting. There are exclusive songs you can only play on live tv (multiplayer)

I bought Rock band 4 day one and invested a lot in dlc. It is a good game, but not great.
I hated guitar hero live when I first started playing. The six button layout didn't feel right at first and the whole menu system was so foreign where as rock band 4 seemed so familiar.
I haven't touched rock band 4 since. I got used to the guitar layout and really enjoy it. The buttons are sometimes hard to press and almost stick, hoping that goes away after usage. I haven't spent a penny on dlc because there is none and the "plays" tokens you can buy to play songs from the catalog at any time are given out for free regularly.
It was cool playing a "live" event but most of my time has been spent on ghtv. It's very addicting playing against other people and experiencing new music in a music video format. You get virtual coins to buy power ups, new highways, and better stats. Like I said it gets addicting.

Tougher than previous guitar hero, but once you get the hang of it. It is more fun because of the audience.

Takes some time to adjust to the new guitar controller but after you get the hang of it don't expect to put down the guitar in less than a couple hours. Very addicting!! Only complaint is there was a lot of lag at first make sure to calibrate in settings.

He graphics are amazing it's like being on a real stage and when you suck people let you know they don't like what they are hearing it's really funny but if you are rocking it out you get to crowd surf it's different from the last versions of guitar hero

Love the game. The new controller is weird at first, but I actually like the new controller more than the original. I really like GHTV, good song choices that continue to expand. If you are a fan of the original games, you will be a fan of this one.

the main mode is very innovative placing you on a stage and making the crowd and band mates react to how good you play, and the new guitar makes it a challenge even for those that played on expert on the previous games. After finishing the career things got boring making me earn, or pay, for tokens to play other songs that the game came with.

The game itself is ok, just like the previous generations of GH. The new guitar controller and the way the new gameplay applied to it is definitely something new and worth trying, I think they have a good idea, I just would've loved to have 4 buttons instead of just 3. The HUGE and I repeat HUGE downside is that if you have a low speed internet connection, the playlist is extremely limited. I remember GH3, its song list was huge.

Guitar Hero has been around a while and although the last few iterations added few noteworthy features, this version breathes life into a dying franchise. The new point-of-view is a certainly a new concept and the always-on "Live" channel adds a nice online mode. However, the single-player mode lacks much depth and is relatively short. The songs that come included leave you wanting more. The online library does make up for most of this, but the fact you don't "own" any of the songs could prove bothersome to some players.

We like the new game. Struggled to get the guitar to work at first. Difficult to find a second guitar without the game included.
