It's a fun game ..I played this back when it 1st came out years ago. I picked it and quickly saw the difference..it's a bit harder but that's a good thing ..they had to change things up a guess. Perhaps I was just looking to pick up where I left off. But it's a learning curve that you have to get used to.

I gotta say I love the new guitar. It feels good and it's fun just being able to learn again. I'm not a fan of the setlist but guitar hero tv is a cool feature. The only other negative thing I have to say is The calibration always seems slightly off no matter how much I adjust it. I still recommend it to fans of music games though.

First off I love the guitar hero games, but this one just didn't do it for me for a combination of things. I was really excited for this game after seeing the videos for it and reading information on it. Pros: I liked some of the song selection on the ghtv side. Also where your stats are. Cons: First the dongle you have to use and take up a usb slot. Not a big deal but its a hazard if it gets bumped and possibly destroy a usb input. I didn't care for the music or the songs it has when you start out. Not even songs with guitar in them. I never could get the calibrating to feel right and never felt like I was playing guitar with the song. I guess the guitar parts never stood out. Overall I was really disappointed in the game and got rid of it.

Originally I had ordered the bundle from a different store which was on sale. Found out, the game was out of stock 4 days before Christmas (ordered it on 12/12). Headed to Best Buy-bundle was out of stock however, I purchased the extra guitar and the game with guitar and it was cheaper than the bundle sale price!

The game play is awesome. Sometimes some songs are a little too hard or too easy depending on the difficulty. The song list has too many pop songs. Katy Perry and Rhianna shouldn't be on this.

Guitar Hero live has a new guitar! They are trying to relate to a real guitar with adding chords. Well I think they did an awesome job. At first I struggled, but as I kept playing I was getting better and having even more fun. There's a new feature called guitar hero tv where you can play music nonstop for hours at a time. It's somewhat like multiplayer in a way. You earn coins and plays to go along with it. All in all, I'm glad I purchased the new guitar hero live. It's been since guitar hero 3 on the older consoles since I've played. And that was with a totally different style guitar.

    Enjoyable So Far

First of all, this game isn't meant for "career mode." The actual game itself only took me a few hours to beat. But it's the new "TV" gameplay that is what this seems to be about...which is basically multiplayer without actually seeing who you're playing against, which I don't really like. It drops you in songs that are already playing, that can't be paused, and ranks you against other players. One thing I do miss is the colorful graphics the previous games had. Black and white gets a little monotonous. It's a whole new game is far as skill goes. Two rows of 3 buttons, that challenge hand eye coordination even further and took a while to get used to/learn. I played on expert on the previous GH series, and have barely made it to advanced in this game. All and all, I am a GH fan and am just glad they came out with a new game.

I was skeptical at first, but GHTV is the best thing that happened to Guitar Hero. Basically, there are two channels to choose from, and they are playing a stream of tracks with different themes every half hour. This is great, because you literally just jump right in and start playing in the middle of the song. And you get to know new songs and artists while doing so. Through this, you get in game currency that you can then use to upgrade your guitar star power, multiplier, and most importantly, plays for on demand songs of your choosing. It's really a great experience.

    Guitar Hero rebirth slightly disappointing

I was glad to see another Guitar Hero game come out being a HUGE fan of the series and owning each one. Sadly, I am disappointed in the career portion of the game and the new guitar controller. The career section was way too short and the new configuration of buttons on the new controller feels like a watered down version that makes it easier for people to be better at the game and taking the challenge out of the game. The online portion of the game is fun and wish it had been added to the series ages ago. All in all, the game is good for anyone of all ages. The only other thing I was disappointed in was the songs chosen for the career side of the game. It's called guitar hero for a reason. Skillex and Eminem songs do not belong in my opinion.

After playing all the Guitar and Band Heros for the Wii (and still do), we were pretty sure we wouldn't like this new version. However, even though all your old muscle memory of the old game is not really going to help you, if you have shorter fingers like I do, only having to play on three buttons is actually a blessing. So far, quite enjoying this, although the wireless receiver could be a little more sensitive. We had to turn the X1 sideways to really get a decent connection. Using the USB in the back of the console seemed to be too much interference.

Played this game when the guitar had colored buttons this one kind of harder specially when you have smaller hands and you have to play different notes, eventually you'll get the hand of the game but it'll take some time besides that it's a pretty cool game.

I bought this for my son, the controls seem a little complicated but he will eventually figure it out. The graphics are good and it is similar to the other guitar hero games. If you are looking for a music game then this is probably the best one out.

This game is great and has a ton of great songs to chose from! It's super hard for those that are used to the colored notes on the old school guitar- this one is more realistic but a lot harder to get the hang of. I do wish that the buttons were a little bit bigger.

The music is pretty good. It's really fun to play with friends and family. I think it's a little complicated going from song to song. I'm not to sure how to work that yet. The guitars are smaller than the last guitar hero. And the notes are more challenging to play.

This game is a lot of fun. The new guitar and gameplay brings a fresh take to the genre and is great. The new GHTV which is on demand music, is a great addition and adds hours of extra gameplay. The guitar is sturdy and I have not had any issues with the game.
