I think the new guitar for guitar hero is much more similar to a real guitar. It is extremely fun but difficult to master. The only negative thing about the game is that there is not too many songs to play.

The game is great. They integrate the live crowds really well. Also the GHTV options is a cool addition. The guitar neck is also different from the previous guitar hero. Which takes a while to get used to.

I was used to the older controls on the guitar hero games, but quickly adapted to the new controller set. The music video mode is a lot of fun, and my kids even like to play on the live concert mode.

This is defenetly more difficult then the orgin all guitar, but after a while you get used to the new positioning of the buttons. It's nice that you can also play to any new song on the livery option

If you loved guitar hero in the past, you'll love this game. The guitar is a little different than before, and a little more difficult for experienced players, but still fun. I like that it's live videos and concerts in the game instead of animated characters like earlier additions. The song and video library is also a big plus, and hopefully soon they'll have DLC to add to the game as well.

Picked up Guitar Hero Live as a gift for my sister and had a chance to play, have to say it freshens up the series. New type of guitar controller changes the gameplay without becoming too overwhelming, it feels more like you're playing actual guitar without having to actually play a guitar. The backgrounds being actual live events adds an element of immersion to increases the fun factor.

It's a fun game to play and has a lot of music I enjoy. It's challenging and I like the new feature to play online with other players. The game does make you feel like you're actually performing with the crowds either chanting or booing at you. I also enjoy that in the online player mood they show music videos to the songs. It's a great addition to the GH franchise!

I was curious how the new game would play but I think it was worth a shot. The new guitar makes the game feel fresh and challenging. This might turn off some but its worth a look.

I do love guitar hero so for me this was the next step up. Wasnt sure I was going to like the new guitar style, but I actually liked it better than the old version once I got used to it. It's more similar to an actual chord on a real guitar. The only draw back for me was that I thought I would have more variety of songs and music to pick from, to kinda create my own style in the music video section. You have to play whatever they make you play to get points so you can earn free plays. Liked alot of songs but would have like to been able to pick my own music instead of only what they gave me. Overall I'm happy and love playing it!!!

This guitar hero got a lot of publicity and people were unsure of the new button layout. I too was a skeptic but I grew up with the franchise and love guitar hero so what's so bad with the new one right? Well first off the button layout is complicated for past players and our original 5 button layout because with only 3 buttons on top and 3 buttons on the bottom, my pinky still wanders off trying to do its thing but there is nothing for him to do. Secondly the buttons on the neck tend to stick or at least on my guitar they do. Third the new connectivity to the Xbox one requires a separate usb plug in to link your guitar to the console and you have to do it every time you want to play, so if you lose it your pretty much screwed. Lastly the game after installing it, I would play the career mode and it will spontaneously lag and freeze mid song and screw up your score or streak and this happens at least twice a song for me, I have uninstalled it and reinstalled but the problem remains. This game had a lot of potential but it is lackluster beyond compare to its predecessors. I would not recommend this game to gamers, save your $100 and buy 2 games that you definitely want to have.

Major troubles calibrating, probably because of the bit older TV I picked up from salvation army. After saying rock band > Guitar Hero since it started, I have to say I definitely liked the new GH better than the new RB. Difficult learning the new controller for me but I can see how it makes things more interesting and fun to use when you get used to it

Loads of songs to choose from, and the guitar playing gets easier with practice. The new type of guitar definitely takes some getting used to, but it doesn't take long.

I had the old version of Guitar Hero Live for the Wii and I loved it the new controller was a little tough to get used to knowing the old one but I love it seems more realistic to play six different notes on top and bottom you have to move your fingers more. First time I played it we rocked out for four hours straight !!!Love the live option

Fun. I like the the new controller as a new challenge, but keys are close together and seem to really impact forearm more than the old controller. (Maybe I just haven't found the right position.). The game setup and menus are just strange and a bit confusing, and not intuitive initially.
Might be able to enjoy with more play time, but I think it's nothing special for a game revamp- especially at the cost with controller(s) even on "sale." I say wait for the bargain bin or super sale price.

With the new fret layout, this game may have a bit of a learning curve for returning players, however it feels more authentic and satisfying once you've mastered.
