Um... First of all I think the track selection was a joke. I would not say that some of those songs were smash hits... They should've put Six by All That Remains, or Jordan by Buckethead... if Hit Me With Your Best Shot is a smash hit, then Guitar Hero has lost tastes... MAKE A DECENT GAME THAT DOESNT HAVE SHORT LISTS OF SONGS AND CHARGE $60 FOR IT! What about DLC? If they were smart they would release every song as DLC if they wanted money! So Rock Band is STILL winning the race! I might recomend this to my extremely obnoxious Guitar Hero fan friends.... but not to a Rock Band fan...

Let me start this review by saying I love guitar games. I can only play on medium and hard some but i still enjoy the music. Guitar Hero rocks and is outstanding fun as a band for the family. I personally think this one is harder than the others and a bit short for the price tag. If you just want to get them all thats understandable but if not i would rent it and go through the campaign and wait till guitar hero 5 comes out.

im a big fan of guitar hero, and im excited to play all the old songs on here like "bark at the moon" and "CFH" WITH HAMMERS ONS THAT ACTUALLY WORK instead of like on GH1. so yeah and i never really got to play rock the 80s that much cause i have a 360 so sweet. Only get this if your a die hard fan of guitar hero.

I own GH2, GH3 and GH Aerosmith, so this was not a must buy. Then I saw that I could play drums and sing vocals to some of the best songs in those 3 games and I had to get Smash Hits. Not all the songs are great picks, and several better songs from those 3 games were not included, but overall the game has a nice setlist. I got the game for $20 so I don't think it is worth more than $30. If you bought it for $60 then you got ripped off! If you have tons of friends that play gh then you will need to have this game around for those party nights.

Well, if you are a guitar hero fan, buy it, for your collection, if not, dont, this is a bad game, No download content, few good songs, they could only improve one thing, you are able to play with simultaneous instruments at the same time, but that kind of sucks, and, SMASH HITS? I mean, really? You could use something else.

First off, people who think they should've added songs like "Six" by All That Remains.....seriously. Its called Smash Hits! Its supposed to have all the good songs from the older games in it! I loved the game. I get to play a lot of my favorite songs from the beginning. Expert+ on drums is amazing!

Awesome game! I know these songs have been out before, but now I get to play them on drums! Ever since we got GHWT and RB I've been wanting ot play the good old songs from GH1 GH3 GH3, so this was perfect for me.

As the price goes down, make sure to buy before it leaves the shelves. Yes, it all the previous song, re-released, but there is a lot more to it, and it played differently. I have completed enjoyed it.

If you plan to get this game you might want to try the first one. If you can do easy try medium (the skill level). If you beat the game play quick play then you get the point.

If you enjoyed the original guitar hero's and you have the mic and drums you'll enjoy playing with the other instruments.
