Customers have good things to say about the ease of use, price, and the SIM card itself. Many appreciate the coverage and network quality, although some users experienced issues with data speeds and signal strength in certain areas. A few customers noted challenges with MMS functionality, particularly on iPhones. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and value outweighs the reported concerns.

Terrible company. Avoid at all cost. This company runs a scam.
Background: I use my mobile phone very little, only for emergencies or when traveling. Voice and text only. I keep the data turned off. I usually recharge in $10 increments, which usually lasts me 2 or 3 months.
1) My most recent problem (March 2019): On my last recharge, I requested a $10 recharge. H2O billed my credit card $100, and gave me $100 worth of minutes. I will never use all these minutes before they expire. H2O Customer Service will not acknowledge their error, and will not issue a refund. They say the "terms of service" agreement does not allow refunds.
2) My worst problem (December 2017): When I first signed up for service, I was transferring my mobile number to H2O because my former provider (T-Mobile) no longer roamed on AT&T's network in Vermont. H2O requested a call-back number, and I gave them my landline number. H2O took my landline number instead of my mobile number. To fix the problem, I had to buy a second H2O SIM card to accept my mobile number, as they said they could not reuse the old one. It took no time for H2O to make the mistake, but it took them nearly a month to release my number back to my landline provider. As a result of this problem, I lost my favorable pricing plan from my landline provider, and will now have to pay 53% more for landline service for the rest of my life.
H2O never owns up to their mistakes, and I have my doubts that these are indeed mistakes. I think it's the way they choose to operate their business. In problem #1, they insist that I ordered a $100 recharge. In problem #2, they insist that I requested my landline to transfer over, then changed my mind.
This is the last straw. Once my current minutes expire, I will transfer my number to another provider.

MMS with iPhone

The SIM is good but a part of the service isn't good. To send MMS, iPhone has to be jailbroken. Jailbreaking is essentially a hacking of the phone & voids the manufacture's warranty. This is not mentioned in anywhere in their Terms and Conditions. For Android, I was told rooting isn't needed but change APNs.

Price is great and use is good but customer service is POOR. Had to ASK them to send a new SIM card because phone was not completely working right since my old one was FIVE years old. They should have automatically sent one and when I called they took EIGHT days to send it

Don't do it.

Customer service was an absolute nightmare. Data was throttled badly, so that was not good. But the worst thing was the internal changes they made to my phone. When I left, I could not use it with another carrier until I just gave up and did a completer factory reset.
You can do better. and you won't have to try very hard.

Do Not Use For iPhones

Please read the low review ratings of this carrier, it does not work with MMS on iPhones. After activating the device with your monthly payment it is almost non-refundable. Please revise your decision if you have a iPhone that can take advantage of all of the features for less or the same price.

I tried to buy a monthly data plan for $ 30.
At the same time I had 500 bonus points which is equivalent to 5 dollars.
However, their site was not working - the field where you need to enter a credit card number was not active.
I called two days for support and the only thing I was offered was to buy a plan over the phone. And if you do this through the operator, then you need to pay extra 3$. Through the machine on the phone it also did not work. Automatic answered that my card is not valid. Finally on 4th day I paid for the plan thru operator with same credit card, because I did not have time to order a SIM card from another mobile-operator. And the ridiculous thing is that it works the same way as 3G and slower than my Wi-Fi in the hotel Extend Stay America and there it is really very slow.

A sub-third world experience. I left them for AT&T and currently porting wife's number out to AT&T also. Don't touch H2O, it wastes time, frequently no data even though you have paid for it!

Worst Customer Care !

Please do not get yourself stuck with H2O Wireless.
I shifted to H2O with a 4 lines family package. 3 lines are working fine, but the primary line is not working with my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8+. Called the Customer Support helpline for 10 time in last 15 days, but I get to listen to same story, "We will call you back", but nobody calls. Worst they asked me to buy another phone because this phone won't work. But they are not sure if the new phone I buy will also work with H2O. These MVNOs are under-staffed, ill-capable, and have no value for Consumers!

Stay away from H2O Wireless

H2O wireless treats its customers virtually like dirt. Although their service is somewhat cheap you get what you pay for. Today my $40 prepaid phone plan was up for renewal. Therefore I contacted H2O customer service because I wanted to change to a $30 plan. However, the agent Alby refused to allow this change unless I agree to forfeit the autopay charge that has been made by H2O this morning. This issue was not even resolved by Bianca, the supervisor of that customer service agent. Why should I pay a penalty when I am contacting H2O on the day the phone plan is up for renewal? I asked them to change the plan and refund the excess charge to my credit card but both agents adamantly refused that citing company policy.

Horrible product

I purchased an H2o wireless sim card and then bought a prepaid plan, but I was not AT ALL made aware that certain phones are not compatible with their service. No where before or during the purchasing process, nor on the packaging was this indicated. After, the sim card would not activate after days of trying and I figured out it was because my phone was not compatible. Finally, after not at all being able to use any of the plan, I asked to be reimbursed and was refused because the refund department didn't approve it. Terrible service and ridiculous that I was not offered reimbursement for a prepaid plan I could not even use. DO NOT buy H20 without checking that your phone is compatible with their service.
