I could try to explain how addictive this game is but I wouldn't even come close to doing it justice. I got into it a little later than most and was skeptical of all the hype, but I was wrong to be that way. It's a fast paced hack and slash roguelike that keep you coming back for more. It's has a great story based in Greek mythology which makes you want to push through to the end. And the music is awesome as well. It's really the complete package of a game.

I am not usually a big fan of Roguelike/lite games unless they are exceptional like Rogue Legacy, Into the Breach, Spelunky etc… This is one of those, it is an exceptional game, perfect feel, cool story that actually makes sense. Even after beating there’s a ton of replay ability. SuperGiant games as usually made something very special and can tell the care They put into the game. Everything from an attack, speed to a Dash feels perfect and they clearly put a lot of love in the game.

Omg the soundtrack is amazing and the game play is excellent! This Rogue-like game isn't as punishing as I thought. It's actually enjoyable to keep trying over and over again. The dialog and voice acting is extremely skilled and maybe even ocscar worthy! The great level of love and commitment to this game is refreshing from a indie game company. I literally haven't met a person who didn't like this game

This game is brilliantly made from the gameplay to the voice acting to the art direction. As of right now, Switch is the only home console this is available on (it's also on PC), so don't pass this one up. This physical edition of the game also comes with a little art booklet showcasing all the characters as well as a digital download code for the epic soundtrack.

Best game on the Switch, in my opinion. Addicting combat loop, engaging story beats that constantly expand and develop, and thoughtful/masterful design on: upgrades, weapons, and customizations. This was only on digital marketplace at release, but with the physical release I think we can finally place this on the shelf and give it the respect it deserves

Amazing action game, with great replay vale. The art and animation is beautiful. Yes, you will die often, but keep coming back more powerful. If you like Dead Cells, this is even better. Recommended! Fantastic soundtrack as well! This physical release highlights what makes the game great-- a mini character artbook and download code for digital soundtrack.

With the seamless melding of gameplay and story together, Hades achieves what few games dream of. Robust and intricate systems push you to keep coming back run after run because even in death there is a reward. Music, voice acting and presentation are all exceptional and put most AAA experiences to shame. The hype is real!

Best Indie Game out their! Rogue like dungeon crawler with lots of replay value. The handrawn style graphics are stunning! Fans like my self have been treated to this physical release and its a perfect translation from the digital. The physical copy opens your saves from the digital version if you had bought it previously.

I am a big fan of Supergiant games; I've played and finished both, Bastion & Transistor. I would say it's the fluid gameplay and the narrative that always draws me back to their titles & Hades hasn't disappointed thus far. Great - fluid gameplay mechanics and a story that keeps you hooked and entertained.

Hades is incredibly fun! The premise is very simple but the gameplay is so good that it has an amazing amount of content for a game that has you run through the same 4 dungeons over and over again. The variety of gameplay mechanics makes every single run unique and the story is super fun to discover.

A quick preface that this is more a quick review on the game, than the physical product itself. I had bought Hades digitally at its launch date on the Nintendo Switch, this purchase was solely to own a physical copy. Why do such a thing? Why, because the game is phenomenal! A truly engaging rogue-lite. With mountains of dialogue for every character (to the point I never saw repeats in 30 hours) and an intriguing plot line there for you after every exciting run, there’s a lot to love here. The weapon diversity, the skill combinations, the flexible challenge levels, everything clicks together to make what I’m not shocked many claimed as their favorite game of the year in 2020. As price does often come into play for gaming purchases, I’d sooner recommend getting the game digitally just for a far cheaper price. However, if you’re one for physical products, the goodies in this package are neat. And also, owning a Supergiant Games title in official capacity straight from a console publisher is just neat.

Bought this game on PC and bought this to have a physical copy. Pro: The sheer variations of play styles available through different weapons, upgrades, and boons prevents the escape attempts from being repetitive. Pro: Excellent story revealed over multiple escape attempts. Pro: Offers the ability for cross-platform saves which will be great when travel reopens. Pro/Con: Can be difficult but offers both a story mode and an advanced difficulty mode. Pro/Con: Doesn't give an exhaustive tutorial, which is great for learning through exploration but may not be for everyone. Con; Could use more fishing. Pro: Apparently there was a small delay in the shipping, but I got my purchase very quickly and probably wouldn't have noticed the delay if not for an email notification. Nicely done.

My favorite game this year. This game had fantastic story, interesting characters, different weapons and random dungeons each playthrough. The switch handles the game pretty well. Pc and other systems probably will be smoother but i enjoy running through a round handheld.

Great game! I haven't beaten it fully yet due to the difficulty, and so many games coming out recently, but I can definitely see why it won so many awards. A beautiful artstyle and addictive, snappy gameplay come together perfectly in this title. Highly recommend

If you are in to rogue-likes, you are in for a treat. If you aren't into them, it's probably one of the best to start with if you are curious. Frustrating deaths, but it's all towards learning to play the game well and the story keeps you engaged the whole time.

I watched plenty of playthroughs of this on PC and was waiting for a Switch version. Now it's finally here! Amazing story, addictive gameplay, plenty of routes to explore using various abilities and weapons. If you enjoy Greek related lore, buy Hades!

The game is fun and has a lot of replay value. I've been watching a friend play for a few weeks, and finally bought it for myself. I waited until the physical version came out, because I was excited about the art book, but it was quite a bit of a letdown. It's just cropped portraits of the main characters in the game, with their names underneath, in a little foldover stapled booklet. I'd recommend buying the digital version instead and saving yourself some money, unless you really prefer having a physical copy enough to pay an extra $10. (Or less, if you were going to buy the soundtrack anyways; it does come with a code for that, but I think it was only a couple of dollars to buy separately.)
