I've played bass/guitar pretty much constantly for at least the last 20 years. Recently, I choose the bass as my main focus. So, I pawned 2 USA SG's so I could upgrade my basses and rig. A few days passed, and the house just felt empty without any Humbuckers. I always loved the look of Hagstroms and heard a lot of good stuff. I didn't want to break the bank, but I also didn't want junk. Long story short, this is one fine instrument. No frills, no block inlays, no artsy pick guard (in case you didn't know, that stuff doesn't make you play better anyway). Right out of the box, slightly had to tune the G, but the action was great & the overall feel was great. I'll take it in for a proper set up, maybe upgrade pots, caps & wiring. I do that to every guitar I've ever had anyway. For the price, this is one great guitar. The weight is perfect and it doesn't have the top heavy balance SG thing. The neck beefy and solid, but still plays really fast. As someone, who I would consider, knows their way around a guitar. I'm truly impressed with the F-200. The binding and pearl inlay on the headstock, give a touch of class, and the tuners may be the coolest looking tuners I've ever seen, but fact that it is so plain also makes it a great platform to personalize It. A LP pickguard might fit it or get a sheet of 3-ply and cut your own! The nice price leaves room for some great upgrades. Cool SG like shape with the contoured comfort of a Strat. The F-200 proves that you don't have to pay $1000+ for your go to axe.
