I had a Haier dehumidifier in my basement that wasn't working so well. I had it draining I to my sump hole so I figured another Haier would fit the same hose. It does. I'm impressed with this one as it has an automatic fan setting, so as the humidity outside has come down this fall i'm finding that the fan is off a good portion of the time and it only kicks in when the humidity starts to rise again. I like the idea of the fan turning off from the standpoint of the fan not sucking in dust from the basement as the previous dehumidifier's filter got dirty quickly.

This Haier dehumidifier works well keeping the air in half of my basement (about 800 sq ft) nice and dry. In comparison with the older unit I use on the other half of my basement, it does not produce any noticeable heat. I like that it is Energy Star certified. It is reasonably quiet, but does make some noise. It fills up the bucket in about half a day, it has to be emptied in the morning and at night since I don't have it set up to drain.

This unit looks nice, isn't as loud as some, and really pulls a lot of moisture out of the area. We have a damp basement and it keeps it comfortable. Easy to set for automatic operation. Continuous setting is available also. I highly recommend this unit.

Have had the dehumidifier in the basement for about a week, and so far, so good. I easily hooked it up to a hose, so I don't need to empty the bucket. Seems to be working as advertised.

This machine is a champ you can set it up in less than 5 minutes and start to get it working hard. I replaced a similar model with this one to find out I was basically just running a fan on the old one! It drips directly into my sump pit and had been running non-stop in my very damp basement dropped it 20% humidity in 4days!

Great and easy to setup; air quality in basement changed within 24 hours of first plug and feels like the rest of the house now that it's been running a few months. Not for large rooms but does good in about 700 sq ft of open finished space. Wish there was a failsafe from tips, little children knock it over and lots of water to clean up and occasionally the filter is stuck in place.

This was a gift for my stepdaughter due to a high-moisture level in the apartment she resides in. Thus far, the reports I've gotten and the results she has enjoyed are great. No more dampness; mold and mildew are gone. Read so many reviews pertaining to various dehumidifiers it finally came down to Haier. Most reviews came from unbiased entities, well-known organizations. The auto-shutoff feature and quantity it collects were the main selling points considered. BestBuy did NOT have to match nor beat a competitor's price as their price (inclusive the warranty plan) was less.

Looks amazing and works very well. Florida Humidity is something this helps me eal with!

Haier - 45-Pint Portable Dehumidifier - White, has been a great purchase thus far. Works hard pulling moisture from the air but is much more quiet than my previous model that doesn't seem to be as effective.

A little heavy, but good for the cost - still brand new, so we will see how it holds up

it is easy to use, east to set , easy to empty. what can you say about a dehumidifier except it does as advertised.

I have it in my crawl space with the drain hose emptying into my ac sump. It's been over a year with no issues. I periodically go down to reset the filter check light. There's hardly any dust so maintenance is minimal.

The dehumidifier was shipped quickly. Once we set it up, it started helping remove the humidity in the bedroom right away. The digital readout is also nice.

Collected about a cup of water at 80% humidity. The temperature display showed 36% F (it is summer). As it would run, the number ticked down to 32 and the unit would shut off until the number was up to 34. So...it ran less than 10 seconds at a time.

It's ok. The instructions are not easy to figure out

Dehumidifier runs well. Only complaint would be that bucket is a little tricky removing from dehumidifier and putting it back in.

So far it is running good and good in basement. ok
