This unit is great! It is easy to install and takes up little space comparably. Keep in mind that walls and doorways as opposed to an open floor plan may only cool about 1.5 rooms as it does in my apartment. I love the timer so I can set it to be cooled enough by the time I get home from work. Don't bother with those risky window units - this is worth the investment!

This ac seems to be good quality and cools well. Maybe a bit nit picky but it would be nice if it was a little quieter (not that other models are) on the low speed for bedroom use. Another plus would be if the air outlet was on the front instead of the top so you had the option to direct the air lower in the room. And possibly an option to run the ac and dehumidifier at the same time. But it does cool well and for the price it's pretty good

The unit can get loud at times. I have an open room, so it doesn't get the room cold but it does a great drop of keeping the room cool considering the open space. I needed a little help setting up the vent in the window.

It works perfectly. I turn it on and it cools the room and turns off after that. Only down to it is the loud noise. But I think they all have that problem.

I have Whynter and LG's, purchased this because it rates higher than other brands. First, got a foul smell within a few days use.. (we think there might have been a dead mouse),, and was full of water within a couple of days. Called Haier customer service.. the gentleman had trouble with American terms. They didn't do what they said they would.(Send email in 24 hours then , 3 business days would hear from a local repair service.) After I week, I called Best Buy.. They were great and took care of things immediately (swapped mine for a new one). Two weeks after that, I finally got that email from Haier customer service. I replied with a negative email, and then a week after that, heard from their corporate office. Even without these problems, the plastic housing for the air filters, doesn't want to stay in place, and the plastic is very flimsy compared to my other portable air conditioners.

I purchased this product after reading several reviews online. I also purchased another portable AC (Delogni whisper quiet with the same btu). Compared to the other AC, this one was much much louder and while it seemed to do an ok job of cooling a room, it did not seem as effective. I had an older window ac unit with a lower btu and it was able to cool down a room a lot faster (albiet the same noise level) than this ac. In the end i returned this product as I did not like the noise level and the fact that it did not cool the room as well as my 6 year old window ac.

Helps keep my kitchen cool in the summer; not as loud as the one we have in our garage/laundry room.

Live near Buffalo airport, planes don't bother me as much as the noise this air conditioner makes. Everytime its turned on I have to wait 4 hours for it to cool a 12x16 ft room. The fan is so loud and the on off thumping of the cooling cycle won't let anyone sleep. Should have taken it back but I threw out the box already. Sorry I bought this.

The summary says it all except problem was internal electrical failure.

The second you start this up you get cool air! It's amazing! The only reason it didn't get more stars is because the instructions aren't the clearest and it's kind of annoying having the fan constantly. When the temp reaches the goal temp the AC feature turns off but the fan continues to run. I wish there was a way that would turn off until the AC needed to come on again.
