Good overall buy

Great Room A/C
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used for cooling an upstairs bedroom 15x20 which is shaded most of the day but with 90 degF outside the room heats to around 80 degF. The 6,000 BTU Haier takes about 3 hours to cool the room to 72 degF after the sun is down (and still 80 degF outside). I chose this smaller unit because I knew the heat load would be low without sun when in use. So, if the room you're cooling is sunny while the AC is in use, a larger unit is necessary. The controls are great, the noise is not excessive and it seems to be a quality unit (I bought mine from Bestbuy a year ago).
