When I requested measurements it failed to include a bar above, below and to the sides. Thank goodness I had a friend here it didn't fit in the window. I had a platform made for stability. Totally a waste. My friend helped with another window and it did fit. This window has no platform, it is very hard to get in and I am sure to remove. The box is not consumer friendly. No handles to carry it up stairs. I am in my 70's and was very afraid of falling backward. It does seem to work well.

Bought this to cool off a recently converted screened in porch to a sun room. Installers were placing in windows while an A.C. maintenance guy was cleaning my unit. He said he could air condition the 15'x25' area for $6-8K. This air conditioner cost me $200. Does the job on 95° days. Best Buy had inaccurate dimensions. Was afraid it wouldn't fit, but I had 1/4" to play around with. Delivery to my house was very fast. Happy with purchase.

I love this air conditioning unit it cooled the room down in minutes .... it's a bit loud but it's to be expected since it is an 8000 btu

The Haier 8,000 BTU window air conditioner works very well. The energy saver feature is a plus.

I found this ac unit at Best Buy after wanting one for awhile for the dogs. I was pleased to see the size unit I needed on sale, but when I got to the store I was able to have Best Buy match the price for incerdible savings. Thanks Best Buy!

Needed something to cool my room and this was perfect

In 2015 I bought this model. When it was installed, we turned it on and it did NOT give any cold air. In 2016 I bought this item, it was installed. It too did not give me any cold air. Even the maintence staff could not believe this happened two years in a row. I suggest you NOT buy this item.

I read all the reviews prior to ordering and found them helpful. Pro's - Not to noisy, I've had quieter, however the bigger the unit the more noise it's going to make. I found the noise from this unit to be acceptable for it's size. Not silent but not annoying. Con's - it's make to fit in old wooden windows. I was not able to screw the side panels into place on my window or to secure the window. They include screws for wood but my windows are new, tilt-in's - no wood. So I had to do a little rigging to make it stay put, but not to bad really. Also protection does not cover damage in shipping. One of the plastic pieces that holds the vent in place broke off during shipping. (Not bothersome enough for me to return it) Neutral - Says 8000 btu should cool 350 Sq. Ft. It does but not very well. Would probably do much better keeping it below the 350 Sq Ft. Like in a 250 Sq ft or less. I will move this to a smaller room and get a larger one for the room it's currently in. I went for cheap quick fix on this. In the future I will look for better quality.
